Hi Fredrika. Maybe once I'll make such a long bicycle ride too. Three years ago, after my husband died, I decided to re-start bicycle touring and camping (like I did when I was young). Now I make trips of some weeks. If everything goes well the trips will become longer and over longer distances. Than at my retirement age (I'm 63 now) I can tour through Europe for some months.
This woman is amazing! She's got guts too! I'm just glad she got home safe and sound. Her journey was pretty risky if you ask me. There are a lot of dangers out there for a person travelling alone on a bike.
@@MsMesem I'm cyclist too. I know the difference. I also ride motorcycle, and soon big trucks too. The concept of living on movement through the world is the same. And your vehicle is part of you, doesn't matter which is it On oregon, I meet a guy pushing a supermarket cart from Texas. For me he is a traveler too. And if you go by balloon or aircraft, a Jeep, motorhome or riding a horse, we all are a family of travellers.

I commend you for not letting the male gender discourage you from your dream of riding around the world. There are still too many men who discourage women from pursuing their dreams as well as general society if it isn't the norm of pursuing a goal for a female. Kudos and hope you continue to adventure around the world on your bike. There are many lessons to learn while doing so. :)
That makes no sense. I'm sure she got help from a lot of male cyclists and bike tourists both male and female. It's actually obvious, since most people who risk doing something like this are men and they can share their experiences with everyone, so they learn valuable lessons before going on their own. This idea that the "male gender" is a block of sexists is complete horseshit. Some women who have traveled alone have also said they get more help than men in the same situation, for example. The world is not black and white and traveling alone will be tough for anyone regardless of their gender. Same for people who discourage other people from persuing their dreams - that's not something only men do nor is it something that only happens to women.
What's the worst that could happen? If u realise u're not fit enough, just sell your bike and carry on by hitchiking. Or local trains and busses. There's always a way fro A to B.

I think there probably as much dangers out there as there are at home. Only we think out there it's dangerous, because it's unknown to us

Cars and motorcycles; not at all the same!
You're wrong. Living in the route, the vehicle doesn't matter.
@@chevettemunita You r not propelling yourself with your own energy; totally different; most anyone Can drive around in a car or van and they do.

it's just your thoughts, no man is discouraging her! get out of discouraging yourself of thinking good of others, no matter what gender they might be!
Dont you get robed??????
Maybe the worst advice is "Just get out there". There is a lot of gear testing and planning before you head out of a longer trip.
But even for testing you have to 'get out'. You can't test this at home

@@wolfhachmuth7731 you need a lot of money for that too.
