DUDE!!!! I've been asking on the forums for a while about the high pitched whine... ...and everybody always says you have to go with a brushless motor... buuuuut you just showed a different way... ...and its AWESOME thank you!!! That high pitched whine/squealing really makes it less enjoyable!!! Thank you sir!!!
sure you figured it out by now but the micro komodo motor with the scx24 mount hits the lower link and the bottom of the battery tray. Furitek should have a mount out soon for it.
So what’s the secret sauce that the Furitek ESCs have? Is there really some big secret they have that enables good slow crawl and no whine, or is it just that OEMs choose cheaper units?
I use these with the flysky gt5. Work great! www.ebay.com/itm/224471092093?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=vktv0ea_Q4e&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=i7plO3GMQpW&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Have you figured out how to trim the rear servo? This is a big flaw in the stock esc/receiver because it does not seem possible. After swapping out the servos to Emax the rear end is not quit straight.
any ideas on adjusting rear steering trim? after switching to emax servos my rear end was just a lil off. Either tooth I put the horn on made it off to one side or the other. I actually heated a stock link and stretched to get by for now, which works. I would love to run this on a setup I can adjust the trim front and rear but unfortunately I have no clue what that setup would be. Thanks for anybody's ideas and help. I myself wish somebody would make an adjustable steering servo linkage, problem fixed.
@@2fmrc we need adjustable links all the way around really. Would be nice to have adjustable steering link and suspension links. Squeezing out an extra 5-10mm on those suspension links could be epic in my opinion.
@@2fmrc I’d like to play with stretching the rear on the ax24. I put axials brass knuckles and weights on the front and then +4 treal brass hex extensions on all four corners. Went to Treals 4 link servo trays front and rear with emax servos and just today put proline Mickey Thompson Baja x’s on there. With the proline rim it sets nice and man it gets around. Just enough weight in the right places, servos and those slightly smaller yet aggressive wheels turned it into what it shoulda been outta the box however just like any scx24, it’s become routine to throw out the servos and motor’s immediately anyways. I’ve been finding it fun to try to run less and less weight and running the stock servos and motors like it’s a challenge lol.
Yeah no kidding! Another reason axial should’ve gave us better electronics 😆 I’d probably use the iguana esc if I planned to leave this setup. At least it’s $20 cheaper lol
Furitek for the WIN...
Good call on axial part. This will drive up additional sales for them

Hah! Glad it helped ya out. I absolutely hate that whine also!
Great video, thanks again for all you do for the RC world - Peace!
Wow great video man really appreciate all you do for the community
Really impressed with the slow crawl thanks for the video 🤘✌️
Great upgrade and instruction. Thanks for the presentation
Bloody brilliant this morning I was wondering how to do just that. And now I know. Thank you very much friggin wizard 🤘🤘🤘🧙🏻

I just got the complete Furitek kit for the ax24 in yesterday. I haven’t put a micro Komodo in one yet. Just the mofo pancake and mini Komodo.
Thanks for the informational video! Good to see it works, and keeps the simple to use 4WS function.
You should’ve heard me chuckling when you ran the Furitek esc with NO FAX Machine sound!
always love your videos and always know if i have a question about something or an idea, sure enough you'll have a video for it!
Awesome good to know, appreciate you sharing I haven’t got one yet but I am planning on it
Thanks for this! I see your link for the Lizard Pro. Are there any additional cables/adapters I need to run the ESC in my stock AX24?
Great video
Great tip👍
Great info and video Matt , peace ✌️ brother
Another informative video mate, do you have a link for the battery, or do a battery/electrics video.😀
Killer Combo
Do I need any battery or motor wire/ adapter?. I might buy this...
NICE...
Did you have problems with the stock motor surging with the Lizard?
Does this lizard come with the Bluetooth to phone. Also will the micro Komodo fit in this rig? Thanks

Pretty much just axial chooses a junk esc lol. The fcx24,rock van,t hunter etc are all much better lol
I saw the Mofo guys toss an 030 Torque Beast on and got similar results. I wonder what you'd get with both.
Was just thinking the same thing 😎😎😎😎😎😎😼😼😼😼😼😼
@@oliverruelas1562 Slow crawl like "Sir, there IS a time limit on these trials."
I may have to try it. Got a few of those in the bin.
Sweet 😎
does flysky make any micro receivers for that would work good for these 1/24s?

No I don’t think there is a good way to adjust it. I may make an adjustable link for the steering to show how we can maybe straighten it out that way.
@@2fmrc Excellent
I wonder what would happen to those servos if you turned them up to 6.5v? 🤔
I’ll find out & let ya know. Gonna replace them anyway 🤷🏻♂️
Great vid! Great info, thanks! My AX24 will be here tomorrow 🤘🤘 New SUBSCRIBER here! 🤜💥🤛
Really appreciated the sub! Let me know how you like the AX24!
@@2fmrc will do! My first mini crawler… can’t wait! 😎
keep it up broh! love it
who makes that battery???

What 050 motor do you recommend for my scx24?
Probably the holmes 55t. I think that’s what I’m gonna slap in my budget build ax
Can I do this with the tegu or normal lizard?
Yes! Should work the same
