Kim playing Cantrell is awesome.
Kim playing is awesome 😎
No shit!
it totally is
Underrated
THE Kim.
Just out there, celebrating his friends. It’s f’n beautiful.
One of Cantrell's best riffs, but one Kim could have written himself. It's got a Soundgarden vibe to it.
Cornell said in an interview he couldn’t picture anyone singing over this song
Sound garden riff for sure
Great song, great vocals, Kim is awesome
YESSS! SO THERE'S MORE!
Tasteful song choice. Kim Thayil is killing it as he did with every song.
Shaina is a monster and she’s gonna be a superstar
I absolutely love this cover. This is my favorite AIC song. The vocalist has a hauntingly beautiful voice and the guys killed the music! This is definitely going on my favorite songs list 💚
Mine too. So dark and beautiful.
I am very happy that grunge rock is still surviving.
Same, it's the soundtrack of my teens and young adulthood!
Life finds a way…..
F'ing amazing.
Please release a cd and bluray of all of these performances 🙏🙏
Yep this is the perfect mix of artists!
Does anyone have a CD or Blu Ray player I could borrow?
Shaina Shepherd is amazing. Love her. Love Kim.
Hell yes, one of the greatest riffs ever, good shit. Kim is the man and shaina serviceable
She kills it!
Shaina`s smile at 0:12 made me hit the Like button ❤
I really love Shaina's jazzy take on their songs. It's a different take on the song and it was a little jarring for me at first, but I really appreciate how unique the cover is and how she vocal tries to make the song her own. Also Kim is always a treat to watch as a guitarist.
Shaina you're amazing! Thank you!
This sounds great! One of my favorite AIC songs
It's such a goodie, it's a pity it's not on Spotify
It is
You can feel the fire around us.. all the time. I had to let my self go into this.. I came out burned.. I will rise again & go back in...
CRUSHED IT
She's awesome.
Her vocals are massive, I would love to hear her in more covers!
Great tribute to legendary friends from Seattle !!!
Two of my guitar influences growing up. Cantrell and Thayil. Thayil playing Cantrell’s riff?! Rock the F on!!!
What the hell have.... they done with this choice of vocals
Fist time seeing this. Thayil sounds just like Thayil! Lol Great cover and love this vocalist. First time hearing her. Did this song justice!
She has the perfect voice for 90s songs!! I want her to cover everything from that era!!
She is phenomenal
Nice cover! Love this song!
Shaina is the star here. Kim’s amazeballs-he’s legend. I’d literally give a body part to be where she is- at 47 I experienced the Watershed that was and continues to be grunge. Shaina fucking crushed it! As a singer myself I watched an absolutely thoughtful treatment and kick ass performance of a worldwide anthem critics and trolls will pick apart. Let’s Not forget those who don’t know any better. Shaina thank you for a fabulous fresh take on a well weathered tune-Let’s have another!
My life is now complete.
I really enjoyed this a TON. Great version and very respectful of the original!!!
Where she came from? Wow, she rocks
Kim's sound and that voice wow, it's been a while. Get her and do stuff together man.
2:04 wow great harmonies
Mi tema favorito de AIC
hermosa voz y gran interpretación como de los musicos y ella 👌
The set up is amazing!!! I love how professional you all are to perform!!! 👍👍👍👍
Awesome cover, comes to show how much of a beast Sean Kinney was tho
This is really kinda great!
I only gave a like because this song deserves to live. That's all I got.✌
No worries, it's more than enough👍
Wow the vocals are killer!!! Well done!!!👊😎👊
Goddamn this is great.
i dont know who she is but the hairs on my skin stood straingt up...wow!
She’s so cute, hot, charismatic and great performer!
Damn, this good!!!
Great work👍👍🙂
Amazing!
Amazing event save Alice in chains !!!!!
What happened?
goosebumps
Brilliant performance! What a fitting song for our times,, we can and will persevere! Love!
The Last Action Hero thanks you!
Awesome
wow cool!
more please
Comparing this work with the original one is funny. Even Cantrell will appreciate this work .
Nice!
WOW amazing voice...
Great cover!!!
The 2020 gift that keeps on giving. THANK YOU SO MUCH THIS WAS AN ANTIDOTE TO COVID solitary living. I hope this chick fronts NUDEDRAGONS
Mejor tema del tributo!! 🔥🔥
I'm straight BUT she's my girl crush❤
Last action hero😎
That soundtrack was one of the first actual compact discs that I ever owned.
banger
That black chick is fucking amazing, didn't expect to like it at all, but it's a really good interpretation
Awesome
Oh
Cover Alice in chains
Is that Bubba playing guitar? Sounds like him…..the best!
This music isn't in the main playlist with the others.
Eric Andre on rhythm guitar ladies and gentlemen
i liked her take on it ain't like that well enough, she got stronger as it went on, but here it's pretty rough. really out of sync with the other guy as the vocals on this track are all supposed to be harmonized. but thayil looks like he liked playing this song maybe best.
it’s such a good song that it seems hardly possible to ruin, yet Mrs Sheperd (I don’t know) almost managed to do it. saved by the instumantals ...
Totally. Lacks energy and charisma
@@charliehaddad1370 lacks a good singer.
her re-imagined vocal line just didnt lay down right anywhere..I kept waitiing for the new melody to find a home but it never did. Layne and Jerry had a harmonic product far more complex than most would imagine. Try singing anything from Rotten Apple. Kim is awesome tho. But this cover should doesnt capture the spirit of the song
I can't hear this song, with this voice... Oh noooo
Wow..tribute by grunge band..
Alice in chains
Soundgarden
Nirvana
Pearl Jam
Stone Temple pilots
Nice cover. Just more proof what a brilliant singer Layne was 😥.
I feel the same way...her take grew on me...but the notes she picked to be able to handle the vocal just didn't sit right harmonically and they.pivoted strangely with the other vocalist.
Ive seen Layne live and one just had to marvel at the power..
range ...timbre and texture of his voice. A huge cyclonic vibrating column of air with a machine gun diaphagm...he is missed.
Kim on the other hand took the chart and ran with it all the way home with it. Im glad the tune is seeing the light of day.
@@clutchinson7438 I think she did good on the verses, but lacked the punch in the chorus, that's where Layne went for the knock out, he was a monster
Respect, I gave it a "like"...but the vocal doesn't really work for me.
What the hell did you do???
Yeesh, the harmonies could've used a bit more rehearsing. Kim Thayil more than makes up for it though
Trying very hard to like this. Just that Lane's vocals are so HUGE it's dwarfing this. Still, I will give few listens.
@@vincents9620 Right. What did I say?
I love the riff; my least favorite of all the covers though.
Metallica was the worst imo
Spellbinding
Ma chi cazzo lì mette i pollici giù?
Troll solitari?
It's like Gwinn Stephoni trying to do Whitney Houston...there are certain songs that can't be remade no matter who you got up there, and it's great but it's not AIC n it cannot be remade, I hate having to say this n they are way more talented than me n are top notch but not Layne n not 1997.
#savealiceinchains
whats wrong with them?
Wtf you talkin about
Save MoPop!
What's the name of the band oh I no The masked bandits. Great cover but dam your more than 12' apart 😅🤣😆
Nobody like Layne
She sounded like bad karaoke. Kim is awesome though.
I agree. The vocals did not feel right.
Her vocals were messy as hell..
It’s not bad at all. This is an outtake for a reason it’s not perfect but it’s awesome to see Kim play Jerry’s parts. She is still an amazing vocalist and the harmonies are pretty sick even if it’s not perfect
A different take on GREAT underrated AIC song. The chick vox (Shaina) added some cool Soul/R&B vocal texture. She did her own vox interpretation of the song instead of just trying to imitate Layne Staley's vox. If Layne Staley was still alive, I'm sure he'd be flattered. Thayil playing Cantrell...now dat's some COOL ROCKING!🤘😷🎸
@@niroshanfernando4784 it sounds like she’s only heard the song once or twice before in her life. A lot of talent but this one was much more of a train wreck as it went on then It Ain’t Like That.
I can't believe how many people are saying how great the vocals are. They're off key and she sounds like a cat being picked up with pliers.
WTF am I listening to?
Good effort but not Layne
Layne just can't be covered.
Thayil is the only thing cool about this video.
The masks are not an art form people. It's a form of control. Not artsy fartsy but conformity.
Looks like the machine forever.
Lmao at them with their face diapers. Couldn't watch due to the sheer stupidity.
Yeah. Breathing the same air from 15 feet away put Kim in real danger lol.
bro it really shouldn’t effect the watchability of the video lmao
@@YeaMits it's the woketard, leftist, liberal virtue signaling equivalent of a MAGA hat.
@@bensteele5753 it’s really not that deep
Stop it!! Please!!
Sorry, but this cover made me sleepy...
Wearing a mask
They have too
Cool cover
Wow ugh
Here voice is awful for this style of music
Yeah the face mask isn't very rock n roll mate
Wonder if those masks are helpful 🤷♂️🤡
Bout as lame as wearing the masks
Eeek
Horrible singer, ruined it
I thought I listened to something entirely different than everyone else by the compliments, the vocals were horrendous , weak , not in rhythm , that’s probably the worst cover I’ve ever listened to vocally. What a great song she butchered .
awful......btw do you know what is most horrible ?? ... the ideology in this video
@EndofMusic sorry man i can't say more about.....u know what i mean
@@julianotriton5056 Humor me. What specifically do you mean?
@@itsasquid He's probably referring to the mask wearing.
@@MrSucc-qi9ru ;)
*looks at them wearing masks*
"Muh rites!"
The best groove riff ever
