Oh my goodness, Cooper is exactly like my Skipper, same crazy needy stuff, including the fetch vs cuddle routine between my husband and me. Amazing how similar these dogs are.

When my dog needs worming tablets I just eat some food, show it to him and as he is begging for food I drop the tablet... usually I eat the cheese I am meant to hid the thing in but he spits the tablet out... So I eat the cheese and drop the tablet XD Of course he gets a treat

Maybe the reason Koda is not able to go up and down stairs is because the hard wood surface is too slippery for their paws. I suggest getting a runner or padding on the stairs so both dogs can roam freely.
