Unfortunately, I haven't had any time to mess with it because of work and life. My brother now has it and is going to school to be a mechanic. I'll post an update once he starts messing with it. Sorry about the late response.
Did you guys get around to finish wiring the 150? I’ve been stuck on my 2019 icebear fuerza pmz125 4 stroke for almost a year because I can’t find any videos about how to require
if I can offer a word of advice; I wouldn't disconnect ANY of your components , like CDI , reg/rect, coil, etc. . the reason is , your new harness is probably different from your existing one . If I had it to do over again I would unplug each plug and plug into the new harness one plug at a time and when I ran across a difference then figure out what to rewire etc. . I didn't have a schematic for mine either ; 2014 150 cc TaoTao - and can't get one . I got rid of my cluster and all plastic for naked scooter . new Chinese switches for handlebars . unless you know elec pretty good , you're in for a good time . all the best , good luck . I'll be watching
Hey! Do you ever offer advice to others looking to wire their own stuff? We've recently got a 50cc moped, but it's got major wiring issues. And we're trying to put the thing together.
Honestly, if you can find a new or used stock wiring harness, go that route. I spent hours trying to figure out my wiring with no diagrams and the previous owner screwed everything up! If you do get another harness, take pictures of your current plugs and where everything that is correct is connected.
Good evening sir I’m watching here from Philippines. I have a prototype of your scooter dayang scooter 150 cc. If you don’t mind I want to know how to order the spare parts particularly the set of electrical wires for my scooter too.
Thanks for watching! Honestly, I've found most of the parts on Amazon/Ebay. The wiring I bought for this bike did not match up and will need to be completely re-routed. What is the exact model of the scooter you have?
@@TyposGarage ito a 2005 dayang scooter 150 cc model I think it’s a Chinese scooter too which I bought in Manila. It’s hard to start then so I decided to buy a new set of wire harness to replace it. That’s why I’m looking for the spare parts Shop to fix my scooter. Thank you for the time and for your help.
So, i'm in the process of figuring mine out and then I will make another video. I think i'm going to just splice in the new wires I need and clean it up. The new harness I bought came with zero instructions. Do you have any wiring at all? or is it missing it?
Could you help me find a motor shop or store to shop for the spare parts particularly set of electrical wires for my scooter 150 cc dayang brand exactly the same size and prototype with Mr Christian Smith scooter on video. Thank you for the info and I will be happy for your help. I’m Celedonio SENOSA jr from Davao City Philippines.
I would assume a bad regulator rectifier. You can buy one pretty cheap to test. The other issue could be the stator, which is a little more involved. If you have a voltage meter, it wouldn't hurt to do some testing on all your wiring to see where you are losing power.
No part 2? I guess you bit off more than you could chew, lmao. Its a pain in the ass without the wiring schematic from the manufacturer. Its probably easier to just rip out all the old wiring and start from scratch instead of trying to fix someone else’s mess. These scooters have no EFI or ECU so the electrical system is not that complicated, it just takes time and patience. Some China scooter manufacturers do a slightly better job of providing info than others. Some are built slightly better than others. I have a ZN150T-7G made by one of the better Chinese manufacturers ZNEN (Zhongneng Vehicle Group). The US importer BMS Motor Sports rebranded it as the Prestige 150. They have a decent website and they do a decent job at providing parts and support. I was able to download a PDF of my bike’s wiring schematic to help me figure out how to trouble shoot my headlight issue after my regulator rectifier blew out and started puffing smoke. My bike has a better charging system than most of the cheaper 150cc scooters. My bike has a DC CDI, 3-phase stator and a 6-wire R/R. When the R/R crapped out my headlights went out. Come to find out my scooter has a headlight controller/relay box which is rare on these scooters so its hard to find a replacement and its expensive. ZNEN likes to do things different than most. All my lights get DC power straight from the battery but my headlights get DC from the R/R via that controller/relay only when the engine is running. I replaced the R/R but still had no headlights. I went digging up some info and came across the wiring schematic that helped me figure out WTF went wrong. When the R/R went out it also shorted out that controller. Now I’m in the process of replacing that controller with a simple on/off switch to have manual control of the headlights. The more you tinker with these things the more you learn. Until all patience and beer runs out…
Hey, is there a part two? I can't seem to find it on your channel

You neverd finish? Im doing the same
I haven't worked on it much since this video. I'm trying to source an oem harness instead of rewiring the entire thing.
