- The UN Security Council has passed a resolution calling for an "immediate ceasefire" in Gaza, after the US refrained from vetoing the measure in a change from its previous position. The text also demands the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages. The body had been at an impasse since the war began in October, repeatedly failing to agree on a ceasefire call. The move by the US signals growing divergence between it and its ally Israel over Israel's offensive in Gaza. Sherwin Bryce-Pease has more.

The food is allowed to go in, but corrupt Urwa officials working with Hamas are not allowed. Check the status right now, the food is just in just waiting yo be distributed.

If the present ceasefire opinion is correct why was the earlier one wrong?
The bottom line is that you cannot find a place in Gaza that has not been bombed and a residential building that has not been destroyed.
So there was no pause in the war.
For example:- A patient is delayed by neglect rather than treatment,
Then when the patient was on his deathbed i.e. shortly after he was taken to a reputed hospital where the patient died.
There is no cost to that treatment

Japan withdrew from the League of Nations (early iteration of the United Nations) when their invasions of the mainland, including China, were condemned by other members. Israel might just do the same at the U.N.
