Dang getting posh now with all these great mics. You work hard on these videos and do great. people think you point do the video and upload it's so much more then that with the editing and your on point with the whole video down to the editing.
Sweeeeeeeet! Thanks, Bark! I like the detailed low end and the clarity up top. I agree with you that the low end's perfect!. Not too low to muffle or too thick to sink the body of the voice. It's just fattening the right details. The clarity up top is just right too--- not the fatiguing kind of sharp, it seems to control the "ssss" sounds very well! Listened on ATH-M50s. It's also a 9 for me!
@@ObscureMics We appreciate the content so much, Bark! Thanks for taking the time to produce these! It's nice to come back to videos like this to be reminded of the sound signature. I hope you keep this one for some time as It sounds awesome on your voice! It's just so balanced, it's unfair to the more expensive brands. Imma stop now for fear of sE raising prices.
Man Bark that was an amazing sounding mic hence the price point. Though you showing quality affordable mics is so helpful to beginners heck even non beginners who want quality on a budget. It's so nice to see your channel flourishing bro. Loved your video as per usual! Cheers!
Great mic for the price. I love the looks and the sound. SE seems to make great stuff that offers very good value. This one sounds great on you - keep it!
Delightful review. The plosives were a bit much, but then again you were being fair and nearly directing the vocal test straight-center into the capsule of the SE, and a little angling woulda helped that, but you were being fair/objective. Also, it seems to be a somewhat sensitive mic, so maybe not too much gain is required. This makes for a nice combo with the self noise of only 9db; someone needs not turn up the mic input volume too-highly and that allows for a clean sound, which at the price, is nice. The internal EQ of the mic seems to be a bit "chocolaty & buttery", which might be great for women needing a nice VO mic for audio-books (kinda like the difference between a Røde NT1 and the Røde NT1A). Also, that Se might be fabulosa for singers (or VO ppl) with a slightly "sharp" voice needing to round things out. (Speaking of which, you have a cool singing voice; very 2AM FM radio circa 1982). Plus, that shock mount plus a great case? Nice value for money (the case reminds me of the case included with the AKG C214, which is a great mic but the internal-noise is higher), meaning a "value meal", if you know what I mean. Very well done, and thanks.
Kinda reminds me of the Lewitt LCT 440 Pure (which is a bit cheaper though) and I love it to just mic up an electric guitar speaker cab. I wonder how this sounds in front of a cabinet. But yeah.. this is definitely a 9 on vocals!
"that's not that much for a mic but that IS that much for me" is a mood I share I liked both the mics but I think I liked the Oma a little more, which I did not expect. I'd need to do a deeper dive to really make up my mind on either though.
With so many nice offerings you might need to change of the name of the channel to something more appropriate like "You know you are gonna want it mics!" LOL Thanks for sharing.
A very attractive microphone indeed. But the price is a bit high. Hey friend, I'm here to give you a tip and make a request: there's an obscure microphone that will definitely make a great video with its review. The Takstar Tak55 is incredibly cheap for its crystal clear quality. The construction is also great, and it comes in a very stylish case. Try it out. Greetings from Brazil (Rio de Janeiro)

lol cool thing with sE is they dont really do that!
And thank you!
Glad to see you covering these! It sounds fantastic on your voice!
Absolutely. It’s as close to perfect as I’ve come across in a while
That SE Mic looks nice. I also really like the mic you were using to start the video. I really like the flat and thin microphone look. They are sleek.
Me too. Honestly not sure which sound I like more
The looks …heck that’s kind of a toss up too. The ohms is prettier….bit the sE is more compact.

We shall see if this is the keeper….or if it’s the T1
Not surprised that this is a good sounding mic as I have the 4400a model and love how it sounds :).
Absolute banger
that thing sounds quite nice
Excited to hear the T1 compared to it

Great feedback
Mechanical switches do what mechanical switches do! 😉 I like the sound of the SE a lot.
Click click boom

Both are fantastic
The ohma has a sweetness to it
The sE has a coffee like thickness to it
Both are delicious

I’ve had my eye on some takstar mics!
Thank you!
A national lampoon's reference. That alone is worth the watch. Lol. The mic does sound amazing and.... looks great, little full, and lotta sap
Definitely sappy. Reeeeeal nice comment
Those are some sexy mics.
Super hot. That thin profile hits just right
Good to see ya in the comments!!
