WOW! What an amazing display of the best bonsais in the world. Imagine 300 & 400 yrs. old trees growing and alive in a small pot. You can just imagine the amount of care, dedication and passion devoted to them by the caretakers. They deserve our admiration and we should honor them for allowing us to see the product of their passion and for the next generations to see, love and appreciate these bonsais. Watching these bonsais warms and enriches one's being and soul. Thank you so very much.

Absolutely stunning work! The sublimity that comes from imagining these tree's long life spans, really everything they must've been witness to, is so captivating! It's added onto by the fact that our assumed host is 56, yet he looks so young! He looks about 30, I bet he's done just as well taking care of himself as he's done with his plants themselves!
Bonsai is something that is very close to me. This is because most of the houses in my neighborhood do it. But what's on display here is really awesome! I can't help but admire how they've grown it so far. It is important to take care of both Japanese gardens and bonsai.
These trees have great spirit and energy, imagine the responsibility one has when entrusted to care for a 450 yo Bonsai, you can't say Ooophs I forgot to water the tree.

I think the art of taking something that is supposed to be 5+ meters high and making it a foot tall and bending it into really beautiful shapes is just incredible. Like the natural forms of these trees are like normal tree size. That's so impressive.
Yes, I have really enjoyed the video! Thanks for posting! I miss so much beautiful Japan! I remember when the gardeners came to my house, they plucked away plenty of pine needles from the branches of the old pine in my yard, so that the tree ended up just like a bonsai!
3:40 That Bonsai gave me energy & encouragement across space and time, right through my monitor, BEAUTIFUL 👍👍👍 So I agree with this guy wholeheartedly 👍👍👍
Wonderful trees! Pretty neat when the gentleman was describing what a Bonsai represents, and them giving you strength. Wish I was there to see all the variations in person.
My mind cannot fathom seeing something so very alive and thriving continuously growing for 400yrs??? If I can master care to my bonsai for 50 years I know no one that would care for it to live even another 2 years lol
As far as I know usually there is no price for such trees, they go generation to generation. Sometimes owners put incredibly high price that person wouldn’t dare to buy it.
Who the hell dislikes a video like this. I get it this isn't for everyone... But you have to thick as the trunks of some of those trees to not be able to appreciate effort, patience and tradition like this.
i disliked it for 2 reasons...#1 the music used in the production was terrible, absolutely no depth of feeling for the subject material, rather insulting. #2 the technique used to record the images reminded me of the local 5:30 news, like someone said, "hey you, here's how to operate this camera, now go in there and shoot video of some little trees". think about the time, effort, love, and work that went into creating these masterpieces and "they" sent amateurs to record the story. frankly this whole production has quite sent me off the deep end. overall this video, in no way was "able to appreciate effort, patience and tradition" of the artisans who created and continue to sustain these magnificent, living things.
