I've always felt it was B S. calling a catastrophic failure when a wooden handle breaks. Does it make a weapon useless? Yes. I just don't feel it's the blacksmiths fault and they should add some sort of contingency plan or something.
I kinda agree, but then again, if you weapons handle brakes in combat, your dead. And its still part of the weapon.
@@vladimirmihnev9702 but as a blacksmith thr wood is not your speciality. Thats like blaming the blacksmith when the horses leg breaks just because he made the shoe.
You clearly don't understand what a fully operational weapon is supposed to be ...
@@MichelLinschoten Right, but i dont expect the blacksmith to make my spear handle, i expect the wood worker to do that. That's like asking a plumber to do electrical work, it can be done but it wont be good.
@@MichelLinschoten You clearly don't understand my point.
I hate it when a broken wooden handle sinks a contestant. I've had wood handles from a hardware store fail.
They are mass produced, crap. These are supposed to be custom made beasts, ready for the challenge.
@@alexsherel3344 Yes but any piece of wood can have a hidden flaw that is undetectable.
Yes, but the point of the show is to make a weapon that would survive it being used in the way it was meant to be used. Detectable or not, a flaw in the wood should count as a failure. If you were using the weapon in combat and it broke because of the unbeatable flaw you would get killed. It has to be disqualified
The point of the show is to make an actual weapon, not wall decoration. A handle breaking in battle no matter the reason would get you killed if you were fighting with this weapon, and it broke mid fight. Even if the other contestant has a sharper more durable weapon, none of that matters if your handle is broken. At least if your blade is dull, edge deformed, you can still deal blunt force damage.
Using that as an argument, it's safe to say the goal of the show going over your head
Why the click bait you could of used any of the actual weapons and got views
You had a thumbnail of a weapon I hadn’t seen previously, but it wasn’t in the video! Very disappointing!!!
I came to see the blade in the thumbnail, where is it?
Click bait
Not there. I hate these videos because of the fake thumbnails
Lol, you got liked by the creator. They don't care at all.
@@gobirags5398 me too, I usually just block them if the thumbnail is click bait
there isn't one. its just like the other video I watched about Contestants cheating on forged on fire, which that was B.S too, and a bot talking and not a real person.
And up next. The kill. *30 seconds to mars starts playing*
What's the point of uploading the video if you're just going to spoil the results of each test seconds before the tests happen?
Of course the wooden handle breaks when you try to swing *through* that part of a cow skull like that.
I hate when you tell us the results before i watch it, and for that im leaving the forge before finishing the video.
It was always hilarious watching people lose because they swung it wrong or hit the wrong spot
Japans sword makers have left the chat in the first 5 minutes.
He doesn't say this blade will kill, he say this blade will keal.
I love to see that they made a blade that went withstand such brutality. Is sucks that the fact that the blade is scrutinized but it gets sent home for a piece of wood the field. I thought it was a blade test not a wood test
I just used brains and super hot copper and bronze!
Buddy hits these dudes weapons hard as hell but when I comes to the stuff he forged he babied the hell outta of his weapon when it was time for strength test
🫨
Why tell us before you show us?
The first contestant losing to a handle failure would suck. But a weapon is a weapon. If it's breaking under the 15 to 20 strikes an becomes useless, it's not a tool, it's a liability
The breaking of handle is not the blacksmiths fault its the weilder, he lack the skills to use it properly, that type of weapon is meant to kill instantly not to hammer something simultaneously
There definitely aren't spoilers in every chapter
I find the kill test to be ridiculous and nessecarry yet the most entertaining part! You can kill a person with a dang pencil why wouldn't the "weapons" forged kill..?? Has a single one ever been told your weapon will "not" kill...??
Great snippet, another episode of Doug getting his anger management under control (via the Kill test) 🙂 [and an important point here, unlike how they say it {KEEL, as in a boats bottom}, its correct pronunciation is K-ILL]- as that is what is shown in action, the slaughter of ballistic dummies, or real(but deceased) animal carcasses.
Why do you spoil EVERYTHING before we see it. Absolute failure.
looks like Emil Antonwsky after a toxic acid waste bath
If they wanted to make it completely fair they would use a dang robot or machine to swing the weapons for every test, the amount of force, speed, angle, and emotion will change per swing and isn't a fair way to judge the weapons worth. It doesn't even have to be intentional its just being human.
You know how I know it's NOT perfectly straight..... he made it in California.
I hate how they will cut through literall concrete with minimal dulling and then act like the knife failed just because it didn’t cut as well as a sharp knife
I disagree with a d.q. over wood breaking. The wood wasn’t forged.
Why in the hell did they have to wear a mask in the gorge but not on show?
I watched looking for the blade shown in the thumbnail.😢 no such luck.
Dumb judges..knives are not made for chopping stones..
Where's the blade from the thumbnail?
Why the hell you would spoil the result before, whats the point of watching the whole thing
The "It will keel" shit is so dorky. Buncha nerds making weapons..
Ive never understood things like chipping rock or hitting something else extremely hard and complaining about the edge dulling rolling or chipping no fuckin shit i don't know anyone who has ever beat there blade on rock for any reason
That always annoys me too. "I'm going to fuck up your weapon by pretending it's a jackhammer and hitting a lump of granite with it, and then complain that your weapon got fucked up when I pretended it was a jackhammer and hit a lump of granite with it"
I hate it when yhe weapons on your video screenshot aren't even in the video
why would you say whats just about to happen? No point in watching the clips then :@
Lies. Reported .
What the hell mark why u whispering in my ear
Dude, why do you gotta spoil what will happen? Can't you just shut up?
Your voice over is annoying
Crap again
