  • This guided meditation is designed to help parents relax and find stillness. Affirmations are powerful tools that you can use to calm your mind and relax your body. (You can read the affirmations below to see if they will resonate positively with you)
    You can use this guided meditation to help you calm down during the day, to fall asleep at night, or to take a break and recharge your patience during the day. You can listen to them alone with headphones, or play them out loud for you and your child. (It's very beneficial for children to be exposed to your meditation practice!)
    You can do this guided meditation seated or reclined with eyes closed.
    The background video is from Taughannock Falls State Park in Trumansburg, NY.
    If you like these meditation videos and would like to prioritize your self-care, please my Intro to Meditation course! It is completely virtual, and runs for six weeks through emails straight to your inbox: mariellenbrown...

    Wonderful meditation. I have a 10 month old and my husband just came down with the flu so I was feeling quite edgy and wound up with anxiety. These affirmations opened up a part of myself that I was fighting with. Now I feel more relieved and ready to tackle whatever lies ahead. Thank you 😊

      Thanks for the Video! Sorry for the intrusion, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you researched - Saankramer Increasing Abilities System (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? It is an awesome one off guide for learning how to produce positive mind blowing affirmations that make you feel amazing and productive minus the hard work. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my buddy at very last got cool success with it.

    Is it horrible of me if I don’t repeat some of these affirmations as some of them are just too hard to tell myself 😭😭😭😭 PPD sucks I just can’t bring myself to say it to my dr. I love my babies but the support system (s.o.) doesn’t help and it just sucks. Idk about myself anymore I am so lost. THANK YOU for the meditation.

      You can repeat the affirmations even if you don't believe them, that's okay! Or skipping them is fine too, whatever feels best for you. Just do what you can to help restore your own self. PPD is so hard, especially if you are feeling alone in it. It's hard to ask for help out loud but it's worth it!

    I just slapped my 8month old,cause she wants to nurse but I can't because I got UTI and I feel like shit,my sides hurt, her father is not interested and all my friends are in another country, I live with her fathers grandma and she doesn't get me. Anyways this doesn't work for me cause I can't hear anything through that fucking laud crying and my brain just denies everything is said.

    As a purely single parent with no access to someone else to watch my kids *for me* and meditating as my own form of getting time for myself-- this was actually incredibly triggering. Maybe I need to be more specific in my search, but...the constant "I ask for help when I need to" was just a frequent slap in the face.

    • @MariellenBrown
      @MariellenBrown  2 года назад +1

      Thank you for that feedback! I can see why that may be triggering. I can add the affirmations to the description so others can opt-out if they feel that the affirmations aren’t the right fit or won’t resonate.
