Today I'm playing the game Buckshot Roulette that was just recently added to steam. The game is playing Russian Roulette with a 12 Gauge shotgun against an AI dealer.

6:30, the dealer uses items that he wants to use in a random order, so he used the magnifying glass, saw a blank, but he also used the beer, which ejected the shell, and because he doesnt know the shell's status, he randomly chooses who to shoot. Also, it is always better to shoot the dealer, because worst case, he will get to go, and best case, he will take damage, wheras shooting yourself worst case, you take damage, best case you go again, and when the dealer goes and he doesn't know he will randomly choose, he will usually screw himself over even if he gets to go.

So for normal mode unless you have confirmed a round is a blank either by tracking shots or with a magnifying glass it's always the best play to shoot the dealer. This is because the dealer has a 50/50 to shot himself on any shell he doesnt know. The dealer always knows what the last shell is, and only knows any other shell if he checks with a magnifying glass.
Edit: there are exceptions to this rule like if the dealer has a saw and the loadout is one live one blank, but if you always follow this rule you will statistically do better than if you "play the odds"
