I love this! I hope I can buy one in the US or at least import one from Japan. People saying that this is creepy probably don't have the imagination to interact with stuff like this. Yes, it's just a computer running a program, but if you just let go of that just for a moment and pretend you found a unique creature, it's fun. This is the closest you'll get to interacting with fantasy creatures.

@@JapanGo Specifically, I think the camera/mic tower sticking out of the top of the head massively takes away from the cuteness. Generally I think I just find them a bit sinister and can’t get away from the fact that it’s a robot ‘pretending’ to be cute. I entirely accept that my reaction might be different if I went to the cafe and was able to try interacting with one.
@@novanine Aha, I know where you’re coming from, as I felt the same before visiting. But you’d probably get a different feeling when you actually hold one (one thing is that it’s warm, unlike most robots). And I almost forgot about the stick on the head 😇 - Yasu
As a child i surely would have loved them as a toy! But as an adult this thing is not interesting compared to a real animal/pet as a companion. At the end of the day its just a machine ,it has no soul and no real feelings,it just mimics things that its programmed to do. So i prefer real pets that show you real emotions and affection. The microphone sticking out of its head and the plastic bottom are also not appealing to me. If i was there at the cafe i surely would watch them with interest, after all robots are kinda cool, but as soon as i would spot a cat outside i would burst out the door to greet and pet it lol.

Wanted to watch the whole video but the ostentatious mask wearing made it unbearable for me, not everyone cares to see people indulging in fashionable delusions of magical killer monsters in the air. As for the matter at hand, very nice and realistic design from what I watched, this is quite impressive.

I think it looks kind of like a little hat or a tiny but tall afro.
