@@MrDiana1706 I think you can attribute Specter and Plague not using their items as them being ambivalent to fighting Shovel Knight. They don't care if they lose because they aren't fighting for a cause they believe in. King Knight on the other hand is just arrogant as fuck and isn't trying at all

King Knight gets so much crap.
He's called something as harsh as decadent dandy in Shovel Knight's campaign,
He gets shamed by Plague Knight and Mona when his crown ends up not being real gold,
And he's forced to wipe the floors in BOTH playthroughs while everyone else (except Treasure Knight) go on to live better lives.

+luigi580 King Knight mopped the floors because he dethroned a king, a pretty worthy punishment. As for Treasure Knight, we can assume he stole all of his treasure since everyone is seen taking it back. The other members never did anything explicitly wrong except for being members of the order.

I feel like in the King Knight dlc, King Knight should invade Pridemoor Keep and dethrone the real King by force
I kinda think the "Boss Battle" of Pridemoor Keep shouldl be the real king's knights swarming you en masse like Plague Knight's attack on the Armorer.
Probably will just be an enemy ambush for the boss but it would be really neat to see the real king fighting back anyway.
having seen footage from what appeared to be the demo, the King of Pridemoor IS the boss of that area. He does battle with a massive suit of what might be powered armor.

Jake Kaufman has actually composed music for quite a few games while at WayForward, including Shante for the GBC and Contra 4 for the NDS. He is freelance, now, and this is one of his first freelance works. I wouldn't find out who he is until Chibi-tech reccomended his FX4 album on Bandcamp.com

No joke though, you can in fact beat this boss with two health, no relics and in 30 seconds... it’s literally one of the challenge levels in the challenge mode.
I remember when I played this guy for the first time.

That theme is the reason why I love King Knight so much ! It makes him so epic despite what he really is xD He's so fab!

I first thought King Knight was a jerk but half way through the game I started doing a king Knight dub with my own voice

While I like the story we got, it would have actually been neat to see a King Knight that was actually a decentish (though misguided) guy eventually become the asshole he is now, both from the injustice of the world and his own entitlement. We already got Plague and Specter (moreso the former) for the opposite, so this would have made for a nice parallel.

From kicking the ass of Enchantress to the being the easiest boss in Shovel of Hope. King Knight did not age well.
He probably got depression from being all alone, and eating a lot because he invited people to big dinners just to eat all the food alone since no one came because they hated him for his treason. This turned both his mental and physical health in tatters when compared to his prime

playing as king knight is like eternally wearing the Ornate Mail. also i would much rather have a Propeller Knight campaign. if you hold down the jump button, you hover/fly for a short time like Plague Knight's burst. Flight of Beauty
If I had a choice, it'd be Propellor knight or Polar knight who got that last spot. Still, what we got was still good.

For some reason I'm hearing Fight On! from FFVII throughout this whole thing. Just me?
HicksZ34 Boss. And It's called Fight On! in Smash, the official soundtrack, and the cover by The Black Mages, so I go with that. Same with the standard battle theme, Let the Battles Begin! (Sometimes called Fighting or Those Who Choose to Fight).
There's a very similar rhythmic figure maintained throughout, but the actual intervals themselves are slightly altered.

So how would a king knight work? Is he a knight that serves himself, or a king that rules over himself?
Spoilers. He was given his title and rulership by the Enchantress, making his position and power meaningless, as he's naught but her vessel lord. And he betrayed everyone who cared for him and believed in him for it. Leaving him with an empty castle to rule over.

Why? Is it because everyone mutually hates him and for what he stands for?
If so, I feel bad too. Everyone seems to give King Knight a bad wrap, while every one else in the Order have cool quirks about them, I feel like people don't give King Knight enough love. Good thing his campaign is coming out.

Well, he was the first boss in the game, making him one of the first characters in Shovel Knight. So that explains his lack of difficulty. And I agree, the Order hates King Knight. Plague Knight says his crown isn't real gold, and Specter Knight insults him and says he "dawdles and plays at nobility." So at the end, he's the only character (besides Treasure Knight) who doesn't get a good ending. Even then, it's not like Treasure Knight can't get his money back. King Knight can't get his pride and nobility back. And it isn't even like he usurped the former king, he just pretended to be one. Specter Knight was the one who forced him to join, and therefore, did the work for him.
He may be a weak fight, but damn are his musics good

I really hope Yatch Club is gonna vaporizer his character in his own campaign. As someone else pointed here, he was called Decadent dandy by Shovel Knight, shamed by Plague and Mona because his crown is a fake, and he's also the ONLY of the Order of No Quarter (excluding Treasure Knight) who gets punished for his critics so when all the others changed lifes for the better. In the story of the game, Plague Knight is seen as the black sheep of the order, but IMO he's not at all. King Knight is. This character is almost as useless as Witson Payne frome the Acer Attorney series..... I hope they find a way to make him having a table turn.

Coming back from King of Cards, it's hilarious to realize King knight's such a fraud that he even stole his boss music from king Pridemoor.
Why is this listed in the King of Cards OST playlist? Is it a mistake or is it actually in the game?
It plays during the pridemoor bossfight. It's far from the only song from the other campaigns that plays in King of Cards, though, so I don't really know why it was just this one in particular that made it into the playlist.
