Pokemon Tournaments are the main driver/playability, like you say.
Raging Bolt is another hyped up example. Prices spiked in light of possible playability with Twilight Masquerade. I pulled the illustration rare and gold ultra that week and made some good quick cash. Great video! 👍

So true - classic example of groupthink lol. Interesting to see some of the tubers who do the weekly / monthly “what I’m buying”. Sure enough, the next month when they review the prices have shot up. No duh 😂😂😂. Self-fulfilling prophecy, can’t say I blame these dudes for leveraging their influence though 🤔. People just need to start investing in what they are interested in
