I caught this also! Crazy you can scan and see what’s inside. It’s good from a purchasing perspective, you know it’s sealed and, to an extent, an untouched card that you might PSA grade. I’d never buy a scanned or weighed pack myself.
The few people who are going to use this service are going to quickly realize how much of a waste of money it was after they pay $8,000 (on top of the cost of the boxes) to find one or two Moonbreon. Nothing to really worry about unless the prices to scan a box becomes less than $70, and right now that is the cost to scan one pack. It could hurt the vintage loose pack market, but that is becoming more of a niche area of the hobby anyway.
when it comes to vintage packs, I am sure high-end buyers will spend the money to see if their investment is worth it or to sell it through false ignorance. There are collectors with collections totaling millions
