- Today we're going to be talking about the Indiana Pacers and the start they've had to the 2023-24 season. The Pacers have been lighting up the league with their incredible fast paced play, which has them scoring nearly 130 points per game. They've had multiple eye popping final scores not even a quarter of the way into the season. They are being led by Tyrese Haliburton, who is quickly making his case for being one of the best point guards in the league, averaging over 25 points and 12 assists on great efficiency. But this team does have some negative aspects about it, leaving fans to wonder if their unreal fast paced style is sustainable. The Pacers are the epitome of going all in on offense and forgetting defense
They facing Celtics defense, their trump card were neutralized and flaws exploited.
@@Rihardololzno Halliburton
@@Rihardololzwe all know that they are not as good as the top3 teams in the league. What's your point?
@@zsomborszigeti6797we have a small team we need wings that play defense
New era Phoenix suns from Steve bash time 😅😂
don't forget Buddy Hield made the fastest 3 pointer in NBA history with only 3 secs on the shot clock after Myles Turner wins the tip on the start of the game🔥🔥🔥
Finally they're living up to their name. 👍👏
if haliburton didnt have that horrible game against the magic, his assist numbers would be crazy
Lmao that’s just the Magic defense
@@podcastsforcools7758So true
@podcastsforcools7758 youre right.GOAT Hali doesn't have horrible games
it was a horrible game tho@@REMINISC3NT116
Often wonder if this high-octane offense will urge one of the better defenders in the league to make the ship out to Indy. If their defense stocks up, there's no telling where this team will go
That Pacers v Hawks game was the best game I've seen in at least the last 4-5 seasons. 4th quarter was insane! They're this generation's Steve Nash Phoenix Suns.
Of course the pacers are a fast paced team 😂
Edit: but fr this is a crazy generation of basketball I still remember the Ewing days when they wouldn’t let opponents score more than 70 points
casual
"is crazy generation of basketball i still remember ewing days"

Boom Baby! It's been a rough ride since the days of Reggie and Smits with a few almosts in between but this is seriously the most fun I have had being a Pacers fan at 38 in decades
Same!
i feel like Pacers are crazier than the Kings were this time last year....already? damn
TH
I love my hometown team getting the love and attention they finally deserve. We grow basketball here not corn.
Great video
U nailed it like a freakin pro 😍😍😍
I would love to see Brandon Ingram on the pacers
You got me excited to watch their game against the Heat coming up. Maybe they can get Miami's offense fired up even more.
WW VIDEOOO! watching the pacers play is like watching a track meet
I'm looking at their team stats so far. They're 1st in PPG but 30th in rebounding. They're 1st in assists per game but 30th in opponent points per game. That's insane.
Concerning rebounds, the Pacers are developing Kentucky college player of the year Oscar Tshiebwe, who is tearing up the G-League. Help is on the way!
Pacers are the Kings from last season, who learned year that offense will get you into the playoffs, but defense wins championships. Still exciting and fun to watch.
Tyrese Halliburton is scoring 25 ppg on 51 46 91 shooting splits 😳
Just imagine if the Pacers ever got a whistle from the refs. The foul/ free throw disparity between them and their opponents is pretty significant, despite the Pacers having one of the most points in the paint per game in the league. Which doesn't make a lot of sense on account of them not being the #1 transition team (since the defense is bad and they don't get stops as often) in the league.
Though they did show they CAN play defense and rebound in those last 8 minutes against the Pistons last night. Maybe that performance makes it click for them and then they just run teams out of the gym. Embiid and Giannis looked like they were going to collapse by the end of the games when the Pacers beat them.
Doesn't change your point in total but the Celtics held us to 104 without Haliburton touching the floor in that game, Orlando was really the first time a team slowed down our first unit (and the Pacers were coming off a 5 day break). Haliburton is great playing slow offense when needed and has won games like that before
Hali only played 25 minutes vs Orlando and we still got to like 110. 10 more minutes on the floor and we'd have had 15 to 20 more points.
They get up and down the floor like the old Michael Adams led denver nuggets but more efficient
Run and Shoot.
Bball Style.
The hawks dropping +150 on ya is trouble
And the Celtics.
Points/Game 128.3 (#1)
Opp Points/Game 126.4 (#30)
Avg Score Margin +1.9 (#14)
This is just like what Suns did in the past, 7 seconds or less
Sun's didn't score 128ppg
God I love the Pacers

Anybody notice how at the start his cross was
perfectly synchronized,
Talk about OKC.
Haliburton is Driving the Pace car ,Hands down M,V,P, GO PACERS,
Its like their coach forgot to say we have thirty seconds on the shot clock slow down
And now they have a chance at being the first ever NBA in season champs. Do not sleep on this team!
Is this a Dom2k shadow account?? You sound just like him
The glass cannon Pacers.
Chino Hills of the NBA
Devry got a basketball ball team
Ima save this video for your guys first round exit
heat in 6
Maybe history repeating itself 🤷🏾♂️ 05 Suns in the modern Day
The Orlando Magic shut them down real quick
All we need is to get into the playoffs for us to take this defense serious. Just a little open opportunity for us to get in an we should be ok. Pacers defense is really not that bad
It's pretty bad. That's the trade off though. But they have shown they can play situational defense and make clutch stops when necessary down the stretch. They also have a coach that is willing to close a game out without regard for a players image meaning hell play the hot guy. If they can continue to be constantly tested in this area they will improve and by seasons end they will be battle tested.
Steve Nash build
#1 in offensive rating, dead last in defensive rating, crazy team
I disagree a bit with the "one of the toughest teams to beat in the playoffs" one. As they always say, things slow down in the playoffs. They're gonna lose that advantage whether they still run or not. Once they lose that advantage and still play bad defense, their near 0.500 record will become 1-4 max in the first round.
You're confusing Smith and Nesmith toward the end. Only reason why you don't follow Nesmith more is cause you haven't watched enough Pacers games. Check out his recent Sideline Guys interview. He was the guy they sat down with following the dub against Hawks. He has actually been a dynamo since Celtics days, but you only see who is on the highlights. In Indy he has recently developed offense, but basically anchors and helps design the Ps "random" D.
Yeah he realizes he mixed em up already lol there’s a correction in the video (@ 9:40 )
this was how the nba felt when magic johnson set his foot in the league
To be fair Tyrese didn't play against Boston and only logged 25 minutes vs Orlando. So neither one of those teams actually slowed them down.
meanwhile 666 views. THATS PURE EVIL!
The game against the Celtics Haliburton didn't play
Except against the magic
thats why their called the PACERS
That’s why they have great pace because they are the pacers 😅
Ty makes the Pacers good, but when you play as a team. That even better. Let's go pacers let beat Detroit.
*Jalen smith
how about you know the difference between Aaron Nesmith & Jalen Smith
Pacers lost to the celtics that first game because Haliburton didnt play.
He played the celtics just the other night and beat them in a electric game. Pacers defense even stepped up at the end to seal the deal.
This team is a legit threat to anyone in a 7 game series
They gonna e worn out by the time playoffs get here that 7 sec scheme isn’t good for start of regular season
Yeah it’s all good until the playoffs come that’s going to slow down real quick
Like they say, the best offense is a completely nonexistent defense
Why are they named pacers?
And the Magic shut them down with ease😂
Only 110 points against the Trailblazers last night, and they loss.
This take surely aged well.. 😬
One game defines the season? How about beating Boston a finals favorite in the in season tournament. Or how about beating the one seed bucks or the 76ers. In really trying to find your point here.
They’re called the Pacers for a reason…
The Boston game doesn't count when evaluating what this team is capable of, because Haliburton didn't play that night, and this team is not the same without him. Sure, it counts in the standings, but it is not an indicator of what this team's ceiling is.
I think Tyrese Haliburton is actually the best point guard in the league. On paper, he's a 6'5 Joker. A walking bucket who dishes crazy dimes. He just doesn't grab boards like Jokic. The man facilitates the fastest offense in the league, and does a damn good job, and is on pace to have one of the most absurd 50/40/90 seasons we've ever seen...and like NOBODY is talking about him. ESPN hasn't so much as whispered his name. He's the only guard who's name even has a chance at being dropped in the same sentence as MVP right now, and if the Pacers can get some good defensive pieces by the deadline, and really look like a strong top 3, top 4 seed come playoffs, he might just steal it. I don't think he's a top 5 candidate today, but I think he's the only guard who has the chance at making a legitimate case by the end of the season. Yes, Luka looks like Luka and is doing Luka things, but he's still a dribble first guy who's gonna get a bucket before he throws a dime.
This has been done before by the Nuggets during the 80s it never really worked in the playoffs
Pacers the new Warriors, bad defense tactic all offense?
Warriors had good defense
whos here after the blazers just cooked em
You think this brand of basketball is… exciting? The NBA is on life support.

hehe, "Pacers"
Lakers victim
9-7 record so far with an overrated point guard and zero defense. Yeah, really “breaking” it.
They should trade for Zach Lavine because he doesn’t pass either
They average 30 assists per night how does this team not pass
Well What do you know the Indiana “pacers” are one of the fastest play style teams in the league 😂
I don’t think this works at all in the playoffs. Which I feel like this team will be in a limbo of not a deep playoff team but good enough not to get a good pick.
Dude you going to far for a team that is not even 20 games in the season, stop it
This shit isnt sustainable lol
We are just going to have to find out
As a Indy native and pacers homer Ima enjoy it as long as I can I always complained how slow they played for years and the lack of offense this is a breath a fresh air for me 😂
They gonna trade McConnell
Did people just forget about the Sac Kings or what? Kings never get the credit.
