His off ball game is so underrated, I never hear anyone mention it! Guy is legit a nightmare to stay with when he can run freely with no ball in his hands

      That’s what I’ve been saying!
He can set screens and just take off into open lanes into literally the easiest lobs I’ve ever seen.
The way he’s able to pull double teams and see over TWO defenders to feed his teammates when the defense collapses is extremely impressive as well.

his offball iq is something rarely seen not only among rookies but from all nba players, even vets, it helps that he is the biggest lob threat in the league right now so his cutting offball is very dangerous and something defenders have to resect but still, that one time against giannis is not something anyone can pull off and that's giannis, anyone else doesn't even need that much effort

It’s also impressive how he’s able to defend without fouling, too. I think in this game he only had 2 PFs. That’s impressive for a rookie because usually they’re the ones most susceptibles to fouling when defending.

I've been a Spurs fan for just about 30 years now and I don't even live in SA, I live close to Boston and I do like the Celtics, just not as much as the Spurs. I was just a kid wearing a Spurs hat, to now with grey hair and still wearing a Spurs hat. During the 20-21 season when most of us were still on lockdown, I probably watched 78 out of the 82 games. All my years, this is the most excited I've been to see the Spurs. The thing I'm more impress of is how calm he is. It looks like he's just out there having fun, enjoying the moment. It's probably why in every arena he plays in, the opposing fans are cheering for him. ATL, Raptors, and Wizards fans were going crazy when he scored. Even Boston and GSW fans were cheering him on. And we Bostonian fans don't cheer for anyone unless we like them.

I'm a Canadian who's 35, I've followed hockey my whole life and never really was attentive to basketball until the Toronto run, but I was a Habs fan... so I couldn't follow Toronto and just kind of followed the sport for a few years.
However... this Victor guy, as soon as I heard about him and looked at his stuff I decided I would follow him to any team he went to and would align myself with that team.
Can't say how happy I am for that choice.

To be honest, even if you made a good point. Those two eras are really different in term of style. 90% of the shots taken in David Robinson's era were mid-range or points in the paint. There was no spacing at all. So if you're an elite defensive center like Robinson, you can have an immense impact on the game. Plus there was way more post-up game and more opportunities for elite defenders to get a block shot. Dont get me wrong, Robinson's rookie year is in the top ten rookie years in all NBA's history, and even if Victor is amazing, his rookie season is not better than Robinson's. But man, on the age, skill set and potential, Victor can be the future face of the NBA and a litteral generational icon for the sport. Sorry for my bad english and go spurs go !

Rudy is the anchor of a good defense as Wemby is the only Spurs defense. It doesn't mean Rudy is better, it means NBA will give him the award despite he isn't.

Wemby in the "Rising Stars" game. -- 5 turnovers in 11 minutes against G-league scrubs. The NBA season hasn't really started yet. He hasn't seen a real defense. Wemby's days are numbered.
