Nice! Really nice! Just missing the Davis Diesel Head for pee wee... I broke one crank as even at lowest compression setting, was to hi! Now I sand a little the contra piston and waiting to see if this will work.
Thanks. Are Davies diesel heads for Pee Wee still available? Do they come with a stronger crankshaft like those for 049 reed valve? Don't be impatient when grinding the CP, do it for a few seconds, then measure/try for fit. Rather doing it frequently than having to start all olver again when you overshoot. Please do a video to share experience and that's how we learn from each other. Regards.
Hi!!! well, DDD for pee wee are not longer available, but seen on ebay some from time to time, i know some came just the head, and others with crankshaft. mine is just the blue head. my Heads are now at home. hope to run them on weekend. Best Regards Rodrigo
Nice test! I have a .15 with a muffler like this, but its compleet frozen and will not turn.Must try more heat. But nice to hear them them with it.And indeed, the rpm reduces very well with it! Thumbs up. I just saw the clip today..Missed it. Thumbs up!!
Hi Peter, thanks and yes, I enjoyed doing this series. Does the shape of yopur muffler ring look right? It might be deformed and stuck to the cylinder, otherwise try soaking in kerosene for a few days. You must be busy as we are still waiting for your 0.12cc !!
A rough running engine is no good. Just crank down the compression screw and work the needle. It should run really smooth. Davis says you must change the crank or it will snap.
@@davidhill5621 Ha, there is a nuance in the smell but whatever tickle your fancy. I always find the exhaust from glow fuel a bit pungent and irritating to eyes and lungs, may be due to the nitromethane.
Thanks, yes, more compression then lean a little, repeat until you hear a sweet note like music in your ears. Then you back off a tad on compression and rich needle a bit and away you go!
That is a perfect engine

Really making it work with an "8" on it LOL.
It's more than happy to swing it :0)

Where's the soot on acceleration? Need higher proportion of kerosene maybe ...
Diesels wi require lower compression wi bigger props. ma PAW 1.49 runs wi the bar almost screwed out wi an 8X4
Whats the exhaust smell like?
Sweet and pungent, instantly evoking pleasant memories of childhood.
@@mylittlediesels i always loved the cox klotz kl200 and castor smell but never been around them on diesel

needs more compression
or more fuel

heheh
Once it is poor man engine now it reverce
Yes, the Medallion .049 was affectionately called the poor-man's-TeeDee as it's a lot more cheaper but obviously performance is not in the same class.
those stupid teflon disks, these engines are made for glow, and glowe only,...if u want a good diesel engine get u a paw 049 !!!
