It sounded like she was about to discuss the change in voice actor for Wario, but said she’d save it for later, and I’m legit curious what she was gonna say. The most “of course they’d announce THAT now!” for me was the Tomb Raider remasters, I’ve been itching to replay the old PS1 games again and was in the process of looking in to all the ways to fix up the old games for more comfortable modern play on PC (like proper controller support and the like), but now this is announced and I’m like “welp, I’ll just wait a couple months now, lol.” With Metroid Prime, Mario vs DK, and Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door all being remade with a year of each other I feel like a teenager again because I played the hell out of all three when I was 14!
Also, it's weird that they brought back one of the old Mario vs. Donkey Kong games, included multi-player, and DIDN'T make the other player Pauline. Seems like an obvious change given Pauline's popularity (see the Mario Kart update.)
mario vs donkey was the very fisrt game i ever played and owned as a kid and I've been wishing for a port for the LONGEST time and now I get a remake of it with it also possibly being Charles Martinet's last Mario performances. I can die happy now.
In future, you should try watching the Nintendo UK/Europe streams of directs because they have subtitles as opposed to dubs of the presenters as well as the stream being essentially the same. Just a thought!

@@Semudara I know. I love this game and Paper Mario 64's depiction of Peach. I didn't really play it and I don't have a Switch. Well I do but it's complicated. I love how instead of making her a strong character that can fight, she can't fight against her captors like in the mainline games, but instead she has her own set of qualities. Her sweetness and her intelligence are the most interesting to me, and they allow her to help Mario in her own way. Being a ruler, I feel like her being quite intelligent works well, and her kindness is a well-known trait of her, I think even in mainline games where she's a rather flat character. It's so much more interesting than what Miyamoto does with these characters (no offense to him, but "almost no story and no character writing, gameplay only" kinda sucks after a while, especially with characters so iconic). Also a little extra detail that could be added is that the sweet Princess Peach that everyone sees may hide an interest in adult activities with her getting drunk if she wins in the original japanese version of Super Mario Kart and hiding a "XXX" in her room in Mario RPG. It's two very little details but I think it adds a little layer of depth to Peach to think that, despite genuinly being a sweet and caring person, she isn't entirely the "pure Princess Peach" that she pretends to be. Probably a persona to show to her people.
