Bhai I respect Abhijit 's geopolitical knowledge but his reservation logic was worse than an 8yr old's understanding of the same So called "Minority castes" already have a share to 100% of the pie after having 50% of the pie already reserved only to them General castes only compete on the left out 50% of the pie. Simply put: In a class of 100 people comprising of 50 GCs and 50 lower castes, if there are 50 seats... Say 25 of the reserved caste students get more marks than anyone else... They automatically get the first 25 seats The other 25 Reserved caste students perform lower than the General Caste students but they still get the rest of the seats based on reservation So in that situation the General Caste students will get nil
Aisa nahi hai bro. I have seen UPSC final merit lists. Even toppers from SC and ST communities are admitted on reserved seats only. Open category toppers get only on open seats. Everybody is selected on in his category no matter what your scores are.

Also, AIM has said this with Kushal Mehra also many times about asking for more top rates institutes.. i agree but it not always about that. It is also about feeling betrayed and treated with injust. Like if a top rated cllg is in my vicinity, and another almost equal top rated cllg us in far away city. With better marks i can't get admission in nearby one. But with 3times less marks, and with same facilities that i prepared with (since that person is 3rd/4th gen beneficiary of reservation) gets admission in my preferred cllg but i don't get. I will feel bad. Won't I? Sometimes you understand that overall reservations are needed in country amd the example of student in fr9nt me are may be handful, but that still hurts. And this creates a different hatred among reserved and unreserved in urban areas where actually the caste divide otherwise is not that prevelant. Also ppl forget it is the policy that is unfair may be, but not the ppl taking admission through that. So current reservation policy irrespective of how many better institutes are formed, will create an artificial divide and hatred if not revised properly.
