- in today's video, we are repairing a ford fiesta that had some rear bumper damage
in RUBY RED which is a 3 stage pearl colour so tricky little repair but all sorted now and looking fresh again 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙

Another good video grant. Its important to note that 3 stage Pearl's require a series of spray out covering atleast 5 coats of layer 2 to accurately match the colour but I'm sure that was all done off Camara. I'm enrolled in my ATA accreditation in october but perform these all the time. They can be a pain as a spectrometer often cant read them. However ruby red is a stunning colour. Keep up the amazing work mate.

By the looks of that finish you don't need spray out cards Grant as that was spot on and looked absolutely mint, I think I said before that I have no idea how you would blend and colour match a 3 stage and after seeing that I still have no idea how you did it😂I do like these 3 stage reds my fav being the Mazda 46V👌👍

Great job your are a pro smart repairer Tec. you are not a bodyshop Tec spray out cards not needed .you are not going edge to edge with the colour so crack on .
As long as you use the correct base /ground coat you will be fine on edge edge on a bumper you will be fine .

Sometimes I get them to melt in perfect and sometimes I have to sand them a touch 👍👍👍

@@grantssmartrepairs my wife has a mkv5 Mondeo I bought it damaged 5 years ago I remember the guy to painted it said it was 3 stage he also said the clear coat was tinted expensive job that was but a really nice colour worth it though 👍
Yeah some schemes will be tinted clear my one wasn’t but yeah not cheap 👍👍👍
