Thank you for your review. To my star is one of my all-time favorite dramas of any genre! Free The Curse Of Taekwondo is really exceptionally. I love absolutely everything about it.
@ I rewatch both seasons often too. It will never get old. I get a similar sense of Let Free The Curse Of Taekwondo. Same great storytelling, angst, chemistry between the leads, and love.
people that get it, get it !!! to my star is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen, especially since I have not felt more connected to a character than Ji Woo. The way we process things is way too similar it was honestly scary. brings me so much joy that there are people out there that feel the same way :*) thank you for watching!!
@ I absolutely understand, As an introvert, i get Ji Woo’s tendency to run away or shut down when overwhelmed, although I was furious with the character’s treatment of Seo Joon in season 2! To My Star is perfection to me! So good!
I've been saving this for a special week. I know it is there, I know I will love it but I have so many other dramas in the background and I feel like this one will be special enough to savour.
I waited months for this series to drop knowing that it was a Hwang Da-Seul drama. I rewatch both seasons of "To My Star" every other Friday. Did you notice the connections to this drama? As to Ju-Yeung staying in touch with the father, it's because Do-Hae disappeared and the father was the last known connection. He pushed down any resentment towards him because he was hoping against hope Do-Hae would return. As to the time skip: 2 years of military service back then, yes? Ju-Yeung fails to make the National Team but didn't know what else to do, does his military service, then just trundles along, except when it snows and he remembers. Do-Hae faked going to uni, even attending campus but worked full-time as a tutor, and was assisted all along by Hyeon-Ho who recommended him for jobs, and helped him make connections, hiding the truth. Remember, he wanted to drive Do-Hae and Ju-Yeung apart ever since the entrance exam.
literally will be me from here on out!!! she just doesn't miss whether it's just what she chooses to direct or what she writes. I'm still confused how Ju Yeong actually feels towards Do Hae's dad though. Because yes at first it definitely is just staying in touch for Do Hae's sake, but then there's this whole arc of Ju Yeong wanting to take over the gym and wanting Do Hae to sell it to him. Also when he hears the news about the father's death, to me he looks sad. Death is sad, but for people with resentment like Do Hae I honestly think the news made him happy-I mean he tells Ju Yeong he says he thinks he's finally free. Next 12 years (more or less) is a long time to maintain a relationship regardless of if it's a relationship you're using to be in contact with someone else, so I wouldn't be surprised if Ju Yeong's resentment turned to affection (but I just wasn't clear what it actually was). Also yeah that is what we know about the timeline but I definitely feel like some years are missing in between, college, military service okay like 6 years, trundling (had to look this word up and i like it lol) along life for SIX more years??? That's a lot of time and it felt like not much changed and nothing significant happened within their lives-Do Hae has been working and lying for 6 years??? That's a long time. Also Ju Yeong's personality seemed exactly the same from high school and idk I haven't been alive that long to know but do people truly not change for 12 years???
