In this video I show you 2 businesses we bought and how we structured the deals. The first example is about how I was paid £50,000 to take over the business and the 2nd deal is about managed to buy the business with no money down.
I've bought many failing businesses over the years and these 2 deals show how you can bolt on companies within your organisation and make them way more profitable.
This video is all about buying businesses.

Really enjoyed this one James - thanks. Out of interest, when you’re buying the freeholds on these commercial buildings, are you buying and holding them in your personal name?
I think obtaining the freeholds is a great plan, I hope your accountant is claiming those capital allowances…? 👀

@james cheers for the vid. Two questions...
    1. If you had £1m cash in your bank because you'd sold your business, how would you invest it? (Perhaps a video idea)?
    2. What books do you recommend reading on the subject of buying commercial property?
    Cheers, Luke

      Hi
On Q 1, I would set up another business. A million isn’t enough to life off solely investment income but it’s plenty to start and grow a business really quick. ( if you know what you’re doing)
On Q2, I haven’t read any commercial property books but I have read lots of business books.
Lastly it’s difficult to give a fair answer to Q 1 without knowing more details.

You said the seller will only get ETR at 10% on the first £1million.....what Tax level will the seller pay for the rest of the sale price.?..and, does that still aplly if he takes the price by deferred payments over few years.?...I know this will be all in your University but asking for all...thank you so much for these snippets

    MFI missed a trick.
It's getting a bit click bait though.
    It's more like a £50,000 discount.
Nevertheless good vid, and fair play to you on that last podcast. Must have been frustrating.
