This is the one my wife used in the 70s. I would appreciate it if you could tell me where to get an old-fashioned decant , it would be incredible .What memories. Thank you
I'd love to know if Tom Ford's Champaca Absolute was popular with chic Filipino women. When the flower and the scent is connected to culture and memory I think the bottled fragrance must surely resonate more? It's a love or hate fragrance, a bit like the ghastly 'Oriana' by Parfums de Marly. Thanks for drawing attention to this quiet old classic fragrance. Lanvin's Arpege in the 1980s was gorgeous. I don't dare to try the contemporary version in case it's insipid in comparison and turns 'weird' on my skin instead of remaining dense and full of connectivity and 'charge' (like most vintage formulas always did). It's hard to put it into words exactly 'how' the classic old formulations differ to the modern ones but people familiar with the old and the new instantly recognise an inferior version.
I will have to revisit TF's Champaca Absolute. Generally, culturally, Filipinos are very hygeinic. Smelling good is a must no matter the demograph. Filipinos typically like freshies and light fragrances. Total opposite of what I love. 😆
@@paologomez1698 I'd love to watch more of your videos where you talk about your individual aesthetic direction and your unique taste in defiance of the context of culture and market trends in the Philippines. My mom used to wear Arpege and Knowing all the time, always reminds me of her! I also remember a very unique scent that came in a burgundy glass bottle with a gold tear drop shape cap. The perfume itself was a milky white liquid, and the scent was very sweet, almost candy like. I can’t remember the name, does it ring any bells for you?
Jeanne Lanvin is a woman. There are many reasons why perfumes get reformulated...a few would be: to cut down costs...or sometimes a certain oil or note becomes very expensive, they have to find an alternative...sometime because of IFRA where they would restrict the use of certain notes...and many more reasons...
Totally different scent. This one is classic. Eclat is a modern freshie. Not a fan of that one. Sorry. Not because it is a modern scent. But it's just not my style.
1. Make sure you are getting from a reputable source. 2. Well, I am assuming (good assumption though) back in the day they never made fakes of this perfume. 3. Take note there is a risk that the perfume might be stale already. Going back to number one, you need to know your seller.

@@JuanTorres-tl5km ebay. But be careful. The modern bottle is still great though
Top review. I was actually curious as to the wear ability of this fragrance. I will now be purchasing a bottle to add to my collection ✌️✌️✌️✌️
Please let me know what you think once you get your bottle.
My Signature Scent since 1996. Vintage Extrait is The Best formula. 💫🥂✨
Wow. I haven't smelled that one. I'm sure it's amazing.
Thanks Mona, I'm going to hunt this down. I so appreciate you giving it your seal of approval. 💖
I just blind bought this perfume online. I can’t wait to smell it and see if I like it or not. It’s a 100 ml bottle and don’t want to waste it 😅
@@EllinooraAlexandraCamilla excellent choice!!! Very classy and sophisticated scent.
Not related, but do I see Ombre Rose on the top shelf behind you? Would love to hear your take on that vintage fragrance!
It's a powdery rose. And a bit resinous. Beautiful stuff. Performance is great as well. Literally like a rose scented talcum powder. =)
Thanks for describing aldehydes, helpful video
Thank you very much. Glad you liked.

She has great taste. 😉 Unfortunately I do not know the third one.
The perfume in the burgundy bottle is called Samsara by Guerlain.

Why do perfumes get reformulated? I thought Jeanne Lanvin was a woman! Thanks for the review.

@@paologomez1698 Thanks. It is just so hard as so many of my favourite perfumes have been discontinued or in the case of Arpege, reformulated.

I have lanvin princess but like i wnt to try this but im hesitate 😂 ,pls advice me ,❤
Princess looks like a modern fragrance. Arpege is a very classic type of scent. If you like Chanel 5...it's that type of scent.
