This is Phreak's whole problem, and a bigger problem with Riot as a whole. They rely entirely too much on data to make decisions when the systems they're making decisions for are too complex for that. With the amount of data the game generates, they could come to any arbitrary conclusion they wanted to by just looking at the right data points out of their whole context.
Like, of course Yasuo and Yone's winrates are higher if they rush IE. They were ahead enough to be able to build IE first item. Lol.

Morello is understandable but stacking thornmail on top is entirely pointless when you can pick up frozen heart, dmp, or randuins instead and not waste gold on something you already have especially on singed. As for the karthus ult thing no you can’t always just type karthus ult because one of the best ways to climb is to disable chat to avoid tilt. If you had a problem with someone spam pinging you could just mute them and that was the end of it. Now you can’t ping most things because why would you be able to conveniently communicate in a team game.

The way you play Yone is really clean and calming. I played my first Yone game in PVP today and I had fun, but it was nowhere near comfort wise as you make it seem. You are so relaxed on him.

It‘s not even him being wrong for me, it‘s his attitude. The way he is always so absolutely sure that he is like the smartest guy ever to have creative power over this game is the main problem for me. Him having this view of himself was always blatantly obvious even in his patch Note videos. He should really try to have a broader view of the game and respect the opinions of people like you that are actually good at it. He‘s also not apologetic at all every time they roll back some changes, it‘s always so casual then, as if nothing ever happened.
Used to like him a lot back in early seasons actually, can‘t say if he changed or this new position got to him in some way, very questionable for sure.
That's the weird part for me. Obviously balance team is multiple people differing inputs. People can be wrong about changes too. But it's the ego for me. Phreak acts like he's some kind of all knowing sage, and constantly berates the community when he's wrong. Idc if he's on the balance team or not, he should NOT be allowed to do PR anymore.
He's always been like this. Anyone who remembers Phreak from his old Warcraft 3 days already knows this. He always had a huge ego and rarely took criticism well.

I've been playing Greeves, Botrk, zeal IE with fleet on Yasuo, feels thee best for me, tried the Conqueror PD into IE (no boots) setup and felt pretty weak but i can see why people like it. I'm pretty new to Yasuo, Loving the champ atm, i think its definitely better to learn a champ when its weak then when its strong, have to work for solokills. I play around in emerald so maybe my build works less higher elo.
I've had more fun playing Yasuo now than I did back when he was in a better state solely because of how much more you need to think in order to play him well. Lethal Tempo being removed is completely fine, it's just the item changes that really fucked his build pathing over

@@user-kz9rz8ui1cyeah I did Navori as a second item and it's fucking painful. He's got absolutely zero damage. I was 13 minutes in with just the AD from the rune page. It just makes no fucking sense, there's no longer any good items with stats that they want all together and it forces you to build an AD item first and deal with the awfully slow attack speed, or build an attack speed item and have your crit chance cap pushed back
At this point I'm pretty sure that only the most committed people are gonna touch the brothers, rest are gonna jump over to fuckin Irelia or some shit.

The thing is they nerfed him again and again (E early damage, W cooldown, overall damage...), but now that they somewhat revert items and remove LT, sure we're back to how it was before. Plus nerfs.

Lets summ up the changes for yasuo/yone.
Lost lethal tempo which is the best rune ever for them
Went from kraken/ie to pd/ie which is less AD, no dmg passive from kraken for more AS (wich is kinda useless be cause u already had AS cap with kraken), more crit dmg (less effective on them cause of the dmg reduce from passive) and the 5% crit chance increase on the crit items are useless as well.
Oh yeah and the botrk is nerf as well :D

Did you watch TWP yasuo video? His build is interesting, with PD buff and fleet you don't even need the atack speed boots since you have enough move speed and atack speed, so you can go another more defensive boot
Please make a guide on laning against darius, without tempo and all the items nerfs and darius being indirectly buffed by items, idk how is yone playable anymore on top lane.
Do you think the new Navori Flickerblade has any place in Yone's builds? The attack speed and movement speed from PD feels good but the increased W and E uptime with navori is kinda nice for more trade windows or dodging skills with E.

i may not be correct but i have tried some games with pta and the build i went is greaves, pd, yun tal, bloodthrister, ie, navori and it worked for the games, so does this build work in the long run. I am not that good at yone, and very confused on the build and rune path right now. say your thoughts on this dzukill

They nerfed dagger to 10% to get that sweet multiple of 10 OCD checked, calling it rn. They did it with a bunch of items recently already like amp tome went from 435g -> 400g for no ap loss, but in our case we get a nerf in stats but gold value stays the same. Yay.
honestly it would be fine if they made it like 250 in cost. then you could go double dagger start which sounds good to me... at least on yas i think it would be good.

Am I crazy for thinking that yas and tone aren't that bad rn? I feel like it's more about transition how they play rather than changing builds. I feel like a more passive play style that focuses on a higher damage and attacking slightly less frequently could be good.

they completely killed blue-ezreal and critplank. there´s only 1 item left that gives cdr and critrate, which is essence reaver. there were 3-4 before including collector and quickblades.

Esse Phreak realmente não entende de nada. Mas, mesmo após nerfs indiretos, eu acho que Yasuo e Yone continuam bem fortes, essa mudança de tirar o ritmo fatal era pq o ritmo falta estava tão forte que ele realmente quebrava o jogo, pq bonecos que deveriam ser fortes late game, ganhavam no EARLY GAME de bonecos early game, não faz sentido. Yasuo, Yone e os ADCs que geralmente ficam forte após 2 itens, estavam tendo um tremendo spyke desde o nível 1, não está certo kkkk. Realmente precisavam tirar do jogo.

To be fair, Phreak wrote that you should go PD into IE or Bork into IE. I think people misunderstood his comment. He probably saw that Yone players didn't build IE at all and was pointing that out.

That was perfectly fine and no one complained all those years ago. I'd rather have to get IE every game and have a choice for the other non-boots items compared to last 2-3 years where every adc had its own must go mythic item.

It's not like yone nerf was the reason he lost. Yone nerf doesn't suddenly make you have a worse team. I guess I come at this from a perspective of other mobas where 1v9 wasn't exactly a thing. I'm used to winning games requiring a team effort in high elo games because at the end of the day it's a moba. I get that league is different, but I wouldn't be opposed to a lot of different champions getting the same shafting if it led to a more balanced game.
Yaaah he can 1v9 if it was the last batch men we are talking about Challenger and a main champion no matter how worse your team are to go thet high with one champion it's the biggest nightmare do you know how big the shiit you are going through

Biggest problem with the patch is that its just kind of... half the patch.
I definitely agree with removing stuff like tenacity runes, outliers like lethal tempo, reducing how hard tabis counter AAers specifically etc.
But those are just half the changes. They removed so much tenacity, yet did not nerf a single CC by midgame? Despite having gradually buffed up all hard CCs since the rune system released?
Changes like they did are good, as they allow for better long term balance - cant balance AAers properly when the cheap and ubiquitous Tabis are so strong. But if you just nerf tabis, AAs are simply.. too strong. At least they did get rid off lethal in the same patch. Same goes for CC. Sounds pretty impossible to me to balance hard CCs around potential ~50% tenacity.
The ADC item changes also just feel completely meaningless. Like change for the sake of change. ADC doesnt feel bad to play - despite being strong - because their items sucked.. they were quite great actually. They felt bad to play cause supps outduel half the game and damage is way too high, kinda leaving you without a job and exarcerbating ADC team reliance.
I also find it really weird that they buffed jungle despite openly stating that jungle is currently strong.
Phreak perma talking about adjusting champs because of winrates. Also PDFreak: "Yone has 47% wr and thats fine because everyone is building attack speed instead of IE on a champ that scaled with AS. Oh btw we also removed all ad on AS items with crit so you cant build defensive tank items on Yone untill 4th item unless you only want to settle with 80 ad from IE or sit on 50% crit" 🤗
i mean he had to come up with some reason why the winrates are low after removing lethal tempo, what a shocker that the winrates went down after removing one of the best runes. also it doesnt make sense, wasnt the entire point of removing lethal tempo to be nerfs to yone and yasuo, they said exactly that but now we are just building wrong? how stupid are those people?
Just use Lethal Tempo to max the Q cap with IE first ?

Makes sense to rush AS on Yone since Q and W scale off it, on the other hand Yasuo Q scales same way but E with MS, not being as important and also ult can be procked from any knock up, they need to balance around that
