Yes i know that due to the limited amount of possible lab door codes, that you can complete this game in less than 10 minutes. But it's boring and involves ignoring pretty much all the main puzzles of the game, so i'm just focusing on showing the game as it was ment to be played.
This game changed my life. Took me forever to finish it, back in 1987, on C64, and I've been in love with PNC games, ever since!
if you havent try Thimblewood Park! awesome!
@@LuciRosseTV I have some live streams of it on my channel! But now that you remind me, I never finished it!!
Great job. Nice work with the annotations instead of audio for your comments.
Burned hours on this difficult and beautiful game..
One of the best and early quests
I used to have this on my C64. Loved this game. Nice playthrough bro. This is how a longplay should be done, showing all this game has to offer. I've seen lots of other playthroughs of this but none are as we'll done as this one is. Thanks for the extra effort. This is one for the archive right here.
Wow, I forgot this game was so cool, haven't played it since I was a kid and it first came out. Thanks for posting this, it brings me back!! :)
Would love a Special Edition of this game, just like Monkey Island had
Believe it or not they made a Maniac Mansion TV show. I kid you not: ruclips.net/video/4sGDyOL70e8/видео.html
Played the heck out of this on my C64. Bought it for my Amiga years later and was surprised (disappointed) that it doesn't make much extra use of sound. In fact there's hardly any sound at all! Still, fun to play and so was "Zak McKraken and the Alien Mindbenders".
Nothing quite like hard-panned amiga audio to clear your sinuses :D
I know that the playable characters were originally supposed to be actual kids, but it's quite silly that the name stuck even after they were aged up into adults.
I still have MANIAC MANSION for my
Amiga 500 as the Kixx XL release box version 😺👍🕹️.
"Don't be a Tuna Head!" 😹👍🕹️
Why is that Skeleton so Huge?! It's Twice the Size of Everyone!
Great summary, great form, thank you! : )
Oh hell yeah!! Finally I got to hear the Amiga music again :D
(In my opinion the best version out there)
I owned an Amiga 500 & 2000, but, played this on C-64. Didn't know there was an Amiga version! Plated DOTT on Amiga. :) Epic Music. Same with Zac McKracken. Great music as well
Totally agree. I had a Commodore Amiga 500 in 1987 and it was a great game machine 👍
Hate to nitpick, but it's the GREEN tentacle that Bernard is scared of.
Bernard is not afraid of purple but of green tentacle.
Great work! Loved it!
You missed one Ending Version! Bevor getting into the Lab with any other Kid then Dave: Kill Dave by the Microwave and the Atomic Water. If you now Rescue Sandy with..let Say Bernard, there comes a Sequence were Dr.Fred (after being Cured) Promisses to Build a Maschine to Reanimate Dave. This Scene plays beside Daves Headstone outside the House. Thats no Fake, i Found that out myself only 2 years agoe. I am working on a Remake so i learned everything about the Game to make it Right. When I bought the game I tried that for fun
Looks a lot better than the NES version, but the music is what makes his game great for me, and that is only on the NES.
Who wouldn't want to be "mandary".
Imagine what a PC Engine Super CDROM port of this would have been like.
There is still another possibility. You can give the meteor to the carnivorous plant.
As far as I remember that was added in the NES version later only.
Excellent vid, why did I never play this game :( off to eBay I go, hope I find it :)
It's a must-play, important piece of gaming history. :)
Yes, I'm 9 years late, but just FYI it's only a couple of bucks on STEAM nowadays :)
I think feeding the meteor to the plant was an NES exclusive ending, I can't find anything about it on the PC version.
JonBaekDK You've missed one, you can also feed it the Man Eating plant :)
That does not work on the Amiga (or other PC) version(s). It's NES Only.
I think that is only possible in the NES version
GET THE KEY GET THE KEY!
I just wish it was done with the deluxe edition, better graphics (a bit) and music in the background
They used most of the music from Day of the Tentacle in Maniac Mansion Deluxe
I love this game. However, I think 15 action verbs is too much, with 9 is fine.
wow the graphics are great for this version but..where are the tunes?
agree the music is what made this game so great on nes, Benard and daves muisic were the best
Mopar4life440 dave's theme rules.
The music in the nes-version was fuckin atrocious, kills the entire vibe of the game imho. But that might just be me, cause as a kid I was just to playing the c64 version.
there's no music?
Yes, when Razor plays the piano. 1:02:44.
COOL😀😀😃😄
Os recomiendo esta entrada sobre el ''Maniac Mansion II'': welcometothedvas.blogspot.com.es/2016/02/recomendacion-maniac-mansion-ii-el-dia.html
My girlfriends name is Sandy, I would just leave her there. Bye bye Sandy!
Good graphics but doesn’t have the same charm as the NES version. You need that music in there!
mhmm
Why is Jeff even a character? Nobody picks him.
I pick him up on NES to only hear his music theme.
My theory with Jeff has always been that he was intended to be a "hard mode" character.
