A Motif is a decorative design or pattern.
The 4 leaf clover if done in a Celtic decorative style would be a Motif for luck.
This song is about quarrels. It is an old Folk song from Kazah Nomadic times that Dimash modernized.
I believe the the Motifs were something to argue about or bring unity to groups and the Cloves were burnt to chase away bad energies like fighting.
Nomadic steppe people combines symbolic elements into food and beverages.
Syrbaz is a fermented milk drink from Eastern Kazakhstan that is given to stimulate the appetite.
Dimash loves ancesteral motifs and had a special black leather outfit made, covered in traditional motifs to wear for his "When I've Got You" music video.
(Almost like a good luck outfit to counter any possible dark energies while playing the role of a Vampire in love.❤️😅😏)
    Great reaction👍
Dimash is often very formal and subdued while singing as a guest at other events. At his own Concerts he becomes a totally different person, almost high on the crowds energy and love.
    🥰🥰Much love from a Canadian Dear🇨🇦

Oh thank you so much for explaining to me what a Motif was. I love that every time I watch a new Dimash video it’s completely different. Different in style or pacing, but always super fun and incredibly well done. Thank you so much for watching!!❤️❤️

seamstress. He was very thankful for the blessings he has had.

Dimash does work out to sustain that energy for his 3 hour concerts. Swimming, soccer, tennis, boxing, taekwondo , horse riding,...he learns stunts for videos too. lol
Dimash always has something happening on stage while he's preforming.
If he could, he would start every concert by propelling down onto the stage from a huge height. He likes to run around, sometimes taking his shoes off. 😆 He recently tried aerial dancing on Sept 24th for the performance of "The Love Of Tired Swans".
    We were all shocked. 😄

❗Dimash is a direct descendant of a 14th century noble family of the Khanate Of The Junior Zhuz, genealogy of extreme importance in his culture. Raised from birth to assume the responsibilities of his position of ceremonial head of his clan at 18, he performs them with dignity and humility, such as Tusau Kesu the ceremony of the important cutting of a child's fetters when he is learning to walk.

It's a Kazakh folk song that, I think, Dimash 'rocked out'!
This concert was in 2022 in Almaty. Dimash sings many genres of music & we never know what we are going to get with him & I love that 😊🙏💞

I couldn’t wait for Dimash to come to my country, so I’ve gone overseas five times to see him. In Istanbul I talked to people who had come from New Zealand and two ladies from France, etc. People come from 60 or more countries. I’m from U.K.

Durdaraz is an old folk song that Dimash updated. I believe it dates back from the days when nomadic tribes would meet up so that young people could find wives and husbands outside of their own tribe so that bloodlines didn't become too closely related? Even now there's still a tradition before young people marry of publishing your heritage back for 7 generations.
Dimash's concerts are absolutely nothing like his solo performances. It's his show and he does what he wants 🤣 even though security may curse him for it later 🤣
Btw I had to laugh when you said about cardio, his backing singer Rassul said that he and Dimash were out running together every day possible in preparation for this concert.

    • @OldLaddie
      @OldLaddie  Месяц назад +11

Oh that might explain the confusion I had with the dancer/contortionist people he had on stage. Because they were dressed in a nomadic tribal costume I am guessing. Also I was very impressed by the amount of running he was doing all over that stage and still managed to sing like that was amazing!! I appreciate you writing and watching!!❤️❤️

@OldLaddie towards the end of this concert he asked the crowd if they were tired, then he said I'm not tired, I could do 5 more concerts. When he's on top form he's like the Energiser Bunny 🤣
Unfortunately he was quite ill for the Astana concerts in September running a 40° fever and although he still gave incredible concerts you could see he was glad to leave the stage and he looked totally wiped out afterwards. Normally he's so full of adrenaline it's hard to get him off the stage

Oh wow, I would imagine being wiped out after a regular day, I couldn’t imagine having to do all that and be sick 🤒. I bet the show was still amazing! I hope to get to go to a live show one day if he comes to the states, close to where I am.

👉 This folk song has a very lyrical text, but Dimash sings it in his native language very powerfully, almost in a fighting manner.
The song Durdaraz/ Quarrels by the Kazakh poet-improviser and composer Eshniyazsal Meidimululy (1834-1902). He was one of the most prominent representatives of Kui* in the country.
'Durdaraz' is a famous song from the golden pool of 19th-century Kazakh folk songs.
    * Kui are musical compositions for mainly string instruments (Dombra, Kobyz). Kazakh nomads expressed all of their daily life, surroundings, events and feelings through kuis. In Kazakh culture, kuis were learned by heart and passed on from generation to generation without any written fixing. The music is usually accompanied by stories and legends told by the kuishi (kui performer).
Dimash first performed the song 'Durdaraz' at the solo concert 'Arnau' in Astana, Kazakhstan in 2019. Here, in addition, synchronous somersaults in a confined space and elements of the kata (martial art) integrated into the dance.

What a great song. However, the lyrics can be a bit confusing as it is a traditional Kazakh type of music called Kui. In these folk songs, the Kazakh nomads used to express their daily life, such as misery, joy and freedom. The song is from the 19th century. The song really rocks and is incredibly awesome. I really love it.
If you like this song, you will love his recent video Kieli Meken.

First time watching you react to Dimash....thank you for your reaction. The Dears did enough explaining here, so no need to add more. I haven't been to a concert yet, hoping he makes it back to the States, too. In the meantime, I love watching his performances and Dears' fancams, makes me feel like I'm there. Thanks Dears ❣️ Dimash's music is one of a kind, like no other artist I've heard in my lifetime. From all I've seen and discovered, he's an exceptional person, too. I love your reactions, you are a very genuine person. Unfortunately the audio setting today for your own voice was too low compared to the performance and the intro/outro music.
