LongSnappersLivesMatter No. American football was modernized by 1880 (Walter Camp's rules and changes), meanwhile Canadians didn't modernize their version until 1903 with the Burnside rules. So Canada was really playing Rugby all that time, not football. The more you know, read up. Adios.

For all the american haters telling that omg canada also lost in hockey !!!
First : You guys need to know that in hockey Canada and Usa were almost always the two best teams with the best players. The rosters of the 2 teams are usually as strong. So don't start making comparaison in hockey and basketball
Second: Its maybe time to assume that you guys just lost and that it was a good game.
Third: Don't blame the roster of you're player cause all the Usa players are great players. they just don't have that much of exposure. I really liked watching this game so the american haters please accept the fact that you're team lost.
    Thanks :)

As an American myself, of course I was upset about this result. But being salty and a sore loser like some of my americans can be a totally separate thing. Canada was the better team this time. You can rather stand up and respect that or get laughed at. But if you look at hockey it can be the same way but with Canadians when they lose. Like basketball in America, Canada adores Hockey. And when they got beat by the someone like the US, such as earlier this year (5-4) canadians dont accept that they lost. We both need to stop being sore losers when we lose. Canada was the better team, and im happy for them.
    Peace from USA

Camorree Tinsley nba mentality, jack up 3s or drive hoping for a foul. no finding the open man whatsoever. Playing Heurter much more wouldve helped. He won a gold last year and actually played.

Camorree Tinsley Coach Cal clearly didn't train, he was too busy riding camels. He is more of a scout than a coach. Coach K would have won these guys a Gold. But team USA is still the better basketball country by far, and has more gold medals than Canada in all age groups.

USA had lots of good players at home under 19 that didn't play in Egypt. Collin Sexton, Marvin Bagley, Zion Williamson, etc., that aren't in NBA yet.
And likewise, Canada also didn't bring all of their top players either (besides Barrett). So it would have been interesting if they both had stacked teams here

Sexton and Bagley are older than Barrett from Canada. Williamson was born within a month of Barrett. Canada had another 17 year old on their team; Lithuania brought 2 players that were even younger than Barrett. Etc.
There was nothing stopping USA Basketball from taking some of their younger players. And perhaps if they did, they would have not lost in the semi-finals.

Marc-André NUMA Michael porter jr, Kevin knox, Mohamed bamba, deandre Ayton, Marvin bagley, Zion williamson, Collin sexton, ect. They are definitely beating everybody by atleast 30 if they all played

You also have to know that Canada was missing some great players also. Also, building a team is another thing than picking all the best players and making them play together in almost no time. That Usa team was playing together which takes time to make. Also, you need to know that maybe Usa wasn't having all their elements. {-> Canada has 35millions of people and canada is not one or the biggest sport. In usa there is 231 millions of people and basketball is one of the sports played the most}. And lets not forget that Usa has a way better level than canada so to face the truth, i just think that for the players that were playing canada just played better than usa :).

Canada beat a USA team, coached by Calipari. He was more concerned with recruiting for Kentucky and going on camel rides during this tournament. Has he focused like he should have, ISA would have won with ease like they always do in U16, U17, U18, U19, and like they used to when U21 still existed, as well as the Senior/Pro team does. And this is U19, so all of you Canadians saying you’re “on the rise,” need to get a realty check. This was a fluke win. You will never be better than USA. But since arrogantly bragging about your only win ever vs. the USA is so important, let’s talk about how team USA has more U18 hockey golds and has kicked Canada’s ass in the Word Juniors 3 years in a row. As well as having won more gold since 2010 World Juniors.

LOL fluke win. It just goes to how that our basketball program is on the rise. And I love that you had to add the condition "since 2010" to your argument. Check out who has the most gold medals in the world juniors. Take a lap , beta.

well 4 years later, can tell you you are right and wrong. Yes USA will always have more depth in basketball but Canada will have more depth in hockey. But in basketball you only have a 12 man roster and right now Canada can put a pretty solid team together, all NBA players led by SGA who by the way could have been on that under 19 team but chose not to. So right now on paper Canada has the second best team in the world and upset could happen when playing the USA. I always say USA b team could always beat any other countries b team in basketball and that Canadas hockey B team could beat any other countries B team That`s why I thought it was crazy Italy didn`t make the World Cup of soccer with all their depth but know inside Italy second best team would beat most other countries B team. Anyways hope you`re doing well and let`s look forward to 2023 Fiba World Cup of basketball. Can tell you SGA, Murray, Barrett, Dort,Olynyk, Powell, Edey are committed to playing and Mathurin, Wiggins and Boucher say they will play for Canada too if needed. And yeah you`re right about Calipari, Kentucky basketball hasn`t been quite as good last few years, could have used canadian Shaedon Sharpe last year. lol.

funny because lonzo, fultz, tatum, giles, Adebayo, fox, miles bridges, monk, Jonathon issac, and jarret allen could make up the best us u19 team and they would've easily beaten this Canada team

lol while this is true let's not act like we didn't send a team capable of winning this thing because we did. Good for Canada. We were bound to lose sooner or later. Can't win them all. it's been what 7 years since we lost a game at ANY level in international play. Think about that for a second. Forget winning championships we hadn't lost a single game at any level of play in 7 years. that u16, u19, u17, whatever you name it we have been dominating the world. A run like that is just flat out silly when you think about it.
