- Father Martin speaks about the importance of "Prayer." He talks about spirituality verses religion. We believe that prayer helps with strengthening our spiritual being. Listen, learn, and pass it on to someone else. Good information should always be shared with others.
I've never seen this video on here before. Once I got the DVD I thought that it should be shared with others to benefit from this man's wisdom.

I can watch father martin again and again knowing that I'm focused on my recovery and being god centered.
How's it going?
I had the privilege of seeing him live in Ann Arbor in 1985. It was so memorable and I remember his story of the skein of geese.
We were given his life as a gift and I, for one, am so grateful.
I watch these yrs ago. Now I feel like I need to do it again to stay sober.
R.I.P. FATHER MARTAIN
Martian?
Are you still listening?
Father Martin, has been and still is an inspiration to me, bless his soul, Amen.
I don't believe one person caused or started any war. It took a village of minds open to the war idea to agree to start a war.
When I was in the hospital for alcoholism many years ago, they played a video by Father Martin called Chalk Talk. He made everything so clear. It was a big help.
Are you still sober
I love you Father Martin...we lost a great one when we lost you!! RIP
I can listen to father Martin everyday RIP.
I watch Father Martin every Morning.
Are you still sober
I will listen to him every morning from now on. I am 47 years sober. I must take life one day at a time.❤🙏❤
What a way to start the day

Through the 12 steps
Father Martin god bless you. You haved saved lives x
God bless 😊
Thks u saved me 6mths sober with my prayers and still on my recovery
I so appreciate these Father Martin videos. Thank you saving and putting on internet. I am old timer and miss the voices of my youth. This lecture is closer to original members. Don’t hear “adoring HP” in meetings today. We hear A lot of people adoring status symbols and themselves.
What a wonderful person
Thank you father for taking your time to teach us about the 11th step. It is a great talk. My desire to becloser to our Creator is so much easier and better. Love you and Thank you.
''Everything in the day is a prayer'' = true and the best prayer
May the Lord be with him
I like your comment
Rest in peace Fr. Martin
Amen, Father Martin. I listened to him in the 70's. He is gone now but he was loved!
❤🙏❤

Fr. Martin was a treasure. God bless him.
Thank God for AA and From Martin
So blessed to have found this! Thanks for sharing. I even love the clicking chalk on the blackboard.
God bless you father Martin
Prayers for you father.
God saved our lives
Ive loved and appreciated this dear man for 30 years when I first heard him. Being a bit picky here.. only difference I see in this talk is that I'm in the field that includes the idea that there never was a beginning. God and His presence, principles, color frequencies, sound frequencies, math,, geometry, sciences, faith, hope, love, were always here, there and everywhere. Always. Without beginning. Here and now.
Prayer is the food of the soul don't starve yourself.
I pray for him.!
God needs our help.
Having faith in Jesus Christ is what delivers me from addiction. No one can come to the Father except through him. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is what is missing here and in the programs of NA and AA. We must realize that addiction is a sin problem and must repent of our sins and be filled with the Holy Spirit.
Simply fantastic!
I'm going to Na but he was a great man and I gained some much listen to his insight
For info. Step 11 is set out clearly and simply on pages 86-88 of Alcoholics Anonymous book. Page 13 and 14 is the program that was set out by Ebby to Bill. Dr Bob was praying and drinking and didn't get sober until he met Bill and got the idea of trying to actively think of and help others.
Thank you for mentioning Ebby. His story is important.
Dr. Silkwood was important al
Ebby died drunk, unfortunately
@@michaelmccay123 did he ? I thought he was sober living in hostel
@@luckyman09 He was sober. I think about the last 8 years of his life.
Thank you!
Best wisdom on the planet!
Thank you Father Martin,
You're God Saint
Rest in peace xx
I cant stay sober and ive been trying for 9 years...longer but actually in AA.. 9 years. Jan 26th 2010 my first date. Now i cant get more than 3 months..i slip. AA seems impossible but i know it works. God please please help me stop!
@Scarecrow music5 Thank you. I let work and ppl slowly beat me down and bam...i drink. I have the regret and get up and try again. Somethings gotta give but failing over n over gets me down. Its probably not AA but me.
@Scarecrow music5 ..hi again
I was raised Catholic and still pray often. I work in. Casino and its just stressful and a bad enviroment some days. I am praying daily now and will stay sober. Im done. Im in California, SD county. Thanks for listening. You seem really cool and close to God. 💗🙏
I was as hopeless as I've ever seen,
In no way shape or form did I ever think I'd get clean,
I now work in treatment & have over 15 months of sobriety,
If I can do it you can..... Don't give up on your self & give it too god.
Get a Sponcer and work the 12 steps. Amen
Nate C. Please go to Cenaculo in Jacksonville, FL, or, Henceville, AL, it’s a free and they will help you
What do you think you should have done before you drank? I'm sure you know the answer...do what the book says to do....Rarely have we seen anyone fail?....You can't fail if you do the right things and go against your own thinking....
I just realized,it's only this man videos I go through without looking at number of views.
I love you God
Rest in Peace..
Prayer success is about obedience to God whether you want to or not. Just do it.
Thank god for AA and thank AA for god 💕
Great stuff! Thank You
The best at what he did.
Amen 🙏🏻
So be it and Amen
First watched Father Martin @Sunrise House 1999
Amen!
His will, not mine be done.
Woke up and got another shot at life
A true Saint 😇
5:22 "restored to the sanity..."
if it works for someone why so many negative comments. If it's not for you carry on. We'll see in the end
It works if you work it. Maybe they aren't working the program?
It works for some. Those aren't the ones giving the down votes.
♥
I came here because of Outlast.
This chocolate 🍫 creampie is dedicated to father Martin . God bless him
How does an alcoholic priest perform the sacrament of holy Communion?
I don’t believe in god but AA still works for me by acting as if there is one.
The video froze
is he still alive?
Sadly, he is not.

Put the plug in the jug Theroaringlion
AND THEN PRACTICE THE 12 STEPS OF AA.
Saint ?
The roman catholic faith is built on the following:
* A false gospel message that is not biblical
*Lifting up regular/sinful men (the pope) as supreme and errorless
*Re-sacrificing the Lord in the mass services
*Praying to dead saints
*They cling to huge religious buildings and a vast fortune
*They claim a unbroken line of popes to Peter that is a lie
*Lifting up and praying to Mary who was just a fallen person
*Unbiblical practices like baby baptism, purgatory, the idolatry of the eucharist and confession to a priest as the only way of forgiving sin
*A works based / man made religious system (Christ and His Word is not enough) that holds you in bondage and not freedom.
I think most religions are cults, just like aa.
411/must still be drinking..
Work at it for sobriety
chemicals
God is dead everything is permitted. Father Martin's sobriety was given by members of AA, Not God.
Very uncomfortable joke about the boy sleeping with the stranger.... Given the Catholic churches history with boys. Very inappropriate.
Was he a saint...NO QUESTION...was he a good man that TRIED to help others...NO QUESTION... but I look at him the same way I look at Sigmund Freud ...99.99% of the stuff that came out his mouth wasn't nothing but horseshit.... but it did get smarter people into the field
Keep coming back sir🙏
