  • With so many knitting patterns out there, how do you choose which one to purchase/follow? Which details/information should one look for?
This video is part of my "Spot the Differences" series where I compare similar looking patterns. This video focuses on raglan sleeve sweater patterns by PetiteKnit:
    1. Louisiana Sweater
    2. Marble Sweater
    3. Caramel Sweater
    4. Louvre Sweater
    5. No Frills Sweater
    6. Monday Sweater
    7. October Sweater
This is intended to be a fun practice. No pattern endorsement or shaming.

Thank you for your expertise, it is striking to state how similar these patterns are ! I think it comes from the sewing craft to have popped during pandemy and new sewers needing simple patterns.

A cardigan roundup video would be amazing!

So helpful!!!! I now know that the October Sweater would be my preference because I like the staggered start. I would have loved a comparison of how the raglan increases are made. I do not care for the kfb increase...

I do think she makes such minor changes and charges for each one. I am not a fan of that. I know we all need to earn money but that does seem a little much!

I’ve knit all of the DK weight ones except the october sweater 🙈 The caramel sweater has some shaping in the body, and the rest is knit straight down. Probably have to knit the october sweater as well to complete my collection.

I'm Just struggling to choose between No Frills and Monday 🙈 any suggestion? 😅 is Monday more loose? How is the bottom part?

@@monka8710 In therms of fit I think they are quite similar. I see the monday sweater as like a "rolls royce" no frills. It has a double collar, three raglan stitches and finishes with italian bind off. The rib on the No frills are knit on smaller needles, while the Monday is knit with the same needle size. This is easily adjustet tho.

I'm currently knitting my first "staggered start" raglan and the fit is amazing for me. It's the Soft Structure for Adults sweater by Jennifer Parroccini. I'd probably gravitate towards the October sweater for this very reason!

I’m currently knitting the Caramel sweater, and there is a bit of body shaping. I opted out of it though.

I’ve taken to buying the junior version of petite knit patterns as I’m a small person and don’t want to swim in my clothes
