I just subscribed and wanted to say I can’t wait to see the future of this channel grow and succeed! I love LEGO as well and started collecting again and being able to have a community that is so devoted and motivated is the best. Thank you for all that you do and keep it up!
Awesome review Emily and yes I like seeing older sets being reviewed. I too am looking forward to the medieval blacksmith and hopefully the return of the medieval theme. I like the theory of the tree being the future tree house and totally makes sense 👍
Great review! I bought this set sealed from a Lego convention a few years back and am super happy with the purchase. Just wanted to point out at 1:12 the sets/pictures you reference as being part of 2008 Castle are actually from the 2013 wave.
That is so cool! Its so rare to find people still subscribed to this channel after so many years! This channel started in 2008, so there's not many still around :) Awesome!! Glad you enjoyed them!
Actually the 10... series is the Expert series, including the modular buildings, large vehicles, fairground attractions and winter village sets. I believe the Jousting scene is also part of this series I bought this set new and paid around 250-300 USD for it. It was the only one I could find and it was worth it.
I always regretted not buying this set when it came out, BUT... I JUST got it for Christmas! It’s pre-owned, but in immaculate condition... It’s an awesome set.
Lego has 100% adopted the clamshell approach to castle. The creator 3-in-1, 90th set, and the Bricklink Castle in the Forset. Also i love that the creator castle had the return of the brick build birds! There's even one on top of the mill village raid. One word of warning for people, is that this set is notorious for having cracking / fragile reddish-brown pieces. The window frames and half arches (used for the tree) crack a lot at the base. I need to replace the pieces on mine.
This set got me back into Lego. Should review it too on my channel after doing all the modulars! LOL@ The more you know Oh yeah, I like putting the rooster and chicken on a roof so that when you close the building, they give each other a kiss : P
Great review. This is definitely on my list to buy but it is so expensive right now. It will probably go up more in price when the new blacksmith set come out.
I got this set when i bought lego for my daughter back when this came out. Love it. But since i got back into lego a year ago starwars has been the only thing that intrests me. Those cows r $20 each now. And above the pub is an "Inn". The gold studs all shattered on me tho so i never rebuilt it. And u think its same tree huh? Well that grew quick. Maybe when town had bad times somebody traded the cow for some magical beans and grew it along with jacks bean stalk😂
Didn't realise that medieval market set existed. Such a nice set and it will go perfectly with the upcoming Blacksmith ......Now where to find the 2008 set at a reasonable price!:-) . Great review as always Emily 👍👍
11:38 fun fact that *green* colour is actually yellow as in flesh colour. Yeah LEGO have this opacity problem printing a light colour on a dark background.
I got this older set last year (2020) and most of the dark reddish brown pieces were crumbling into fragments. Worse was that some of those pieces were irreplaceable. I had to send the set back to the store for a refund. I was so disappointed.
oh wow this is such a really cool set!!! yes old lego set reviews does really seem cool. just maybe stay away from really old Star Wars sets. just my opinion
Do you like seeing old (yet somehow relevant) reviews of LEGO sets? Let me know!

My brother has like half the castle sets sucks that the theme ended though
I have that set I got it when I was little but I have to rebuild it since i took it apart to build other things
Do you have the original blacksmith set?
Beautiful set. Feel so much older now that this set is called "old". 😄
I got this older set last year (2020) and most of the dark reddish brown pieces were crumbling into fragments. Worse was that some of those pieces were irreplaceable. I had to send the set back to the store for a refund. I was so disappointed.
