While samsa is a bit overrated, it's the song that introduced me to pjsk so I'm very grateful to it :)
That's very nice! I remember that id smile was one of the first song i heard in pjsk, amd it's still my favorite song despite it being quite popular

Honestly, yeah, I also think these are overrated. Though I was never a fan of any of these to begin with, so I do have my bias.
Rad Dogs I do generally enjoy, especially the Sekai Symphony version (even if I personally would change the line distribution a bit), but it's definitely not my favorite Toya comm (that would be Mirai). So I suppose it could be overrated.
Beat Eater and Samsa are currently my favorite comms for Kohane and Kanade. The only way I'd like the former more is if Kohane's VA got to redo her lines in her current style.
Damn, a rare Mirai fan in the wild. But overall happy you agreed to some of my opinions!
I agree the most with bug. The song is good, i've listened to the song a bunch of times, but the other mafuyu comms need more attention like empurple n saisei. Where are the saisei fans?💔
The songs are not overrated, but it depends a lot on the tastes of others and if many people really like a song for no reason or because it really sounds good, but just because you don't like it doesn't mean that it is overrated.
Rad dogs fir me its not overrated, still 3 years and is one of my favourite songs on the whole game

Tera Tera: I agree with this one, this song is very overrated. As much as I really like it, I don't think that's all they think(Also, Vocaloid ver. Better)
More Jump More: This was once my favorite mmj song, and I still love it.

Rad dogs: I vibe a lot with this song lol-
I can't say it's overrated
Bear eater: At first I didn't understand the hype, but after listening to the song a few times, I understood why it is so good for so many. So yes, she's a little overrated, but not by much.
Tondemowonderz: It's a good and energetic song, I only started to feel a little meh about this song because of that damn chart(But it's still one of my favorites too)
Glory Steady go!: Virtual Singer ver. Better fr
Bug: Is it overrated? Yes. But is the music bad? No.
This is like one of the songs that I most relate with in the game, and it has a rhythm that sticks in your mind. I love it
Samsa: It's an addictive song, and really cool! For a song that introduces N25 Kaito is a good start. It's overrated, but it's still a good song
Honorable mentions (my opinions are a bit controversial-):
The peachy Key: I don't like how they sound in this song. The instrumental is ok, but it's not wonderful.
Srage of Sekai: I can NOT understand the hype they put on this song... I didn't like Len's choice in this song, Ichika's voice doesn't seem to match the instrumental. Only the final chorus that sounds good to me
「1」: L/N sounds good in this song. But I feel like there's something missing from this song.
City: I like more acoustic music, ok? But City is a case that I can't like. It's the same case as Stage of Sekai, I can't understand the hype.
ID Smile: The music isn't bad, but I don't treat it as if it were the best music created in the entire world, and also that I love Virtual Singer ver.
Seeing peachy key and id smile on your honorable mentions kinds hurts ngl. But i do agree, stage of sekai and city is pretty overrated
I agree especially with bug but all the songs are great
Bug and tondemowonderz imo just are not good. The rest of the song in the list still has some stuff i like

personal opinions:
Leo/need : TERATERA or SHOW OFF (I bought the Saki alt for this song just so I could get an achievement for her CR.)
MORE MORE JUMP! : MORE! JUMP! MORE! (it's on my playlist and I really like the jumpy vibe and how easy an choreography can be created for it, but it's SO OVERPLAYED. I'm sorry but everytime that song got selected I disconnected, I don't do that anymore and I just go over it casually since the chart is nice, but still..)
Vivid BAD SQUAD : Kashika (It's nice and all, I like Akito's vocals, but it was very overplayed by the time it released it made me tired of going through it over and over.)
Wonderlands x Showtime : Mr. Showtime (I honestly dislike this with an burning passion. It's not catchy to me, and overall it's just an.. no. Songs like Showtime Ruler, Becoming Potatoes and even the overplayed Tondemo Wonderz are better.)
Nightcord at 25:00 : Bug (An hard choice. Bug is catchy and the lyrics are awesome, their vocals are nice and Len's tuning is bearable, but it also has the same problem as the previous ones: it's OVERPLAYED. Or was, we could say, I don't really see any people choosing it much.)
BONUS: Virtual Singers / VOCALOIDs. (I know they are not commissioned for the game, but I just had to point this out.) : Tell Your World (It's annoying when beginners keep on spamming this song on CO-OP and I have to keep playing the Master chart over and over. I don't dislike the song itself, it's awesome, but the beginner spam thing is an problem.)

I FEEL that for one overrated is very broad as a concept and because it's fundamentally subjective, there's no such thing as objectively overrated to me, but I also think most of those songs if you want to be as unbiased as possible (which... I'd say you cant not be biased at all) for the most part 'deserve' the recognition they have and I do think some you listed, for instance TeraTera being the first LN song to come to mind for a lot of people, are there for... a reason? Them being overplayed is fine but I wouldnt necessarily say that anything that's tremendously liked and seen everywhere is necessarily overrated if that love is warranted. But that's obv just my view, yours is also totally valid !!! ♡

I think that Glory Steady Go is overrated. The others are just really really really really good songs and deserve all the recognition they get!

My opinions on this takes
TeraTera-While yes, it is probably the most popular Leo need song I dont think is overrated, I actually like it a lot.
More Jump More-One would even argue Momoiro no Kagi should be here, neither song is bad, I love all Airis comm but yeah, more jump more its catchy and repetitive at the same time, just like you said.
Rad Dogs- I never understood all the hype for Rad Dogs. I not the biggest fan of Mirai, I also dont hate it, but it breaks my heart seeing Hollow and Blender being so underrated because of Rad Dogs.
Beat Eater- Overrated or not that song is a banger, no one can convince me otherwise.
Tondemo Wonders- Never understood the hype. Overrated and Overplayed
Glory Steady Go- Never Understood the hype.
Bug- I used to love this song, and co-op ruined it for me.
Samsa- Can get repetitive sometimes, but pretty good song in my opinion.
Now for some songs I think are underrated
Made to Order- I know that slow songs are not everyones cup of tea but omg, I have seen people hating on this song so much and I never understood why, Leo Need and Luka sound so gorgeous.
Awaiting Clear Skies- This song is overshadowed by all other Honami comms.
Purpose- Same as Awaiting Clear Skies, it gets overshadowed , especially by Peaky Peaky, which is one of my favorite comms.
Stella/From Tokyo/Aioi/SureSure- TeraTera overshadows them all, Stella is very very good, From Tokyo is so Saki coded, Aioi gets so much hate I will never understand and SureSure is a banger.
Teammate- Some people hate this song???? This song feels like the end of an era, very fitting for an arc ender.
Ai no Material- I get that the "I know Ai no Sympathy, I know Ai no Material" part can get very repetitive, but I love that use of words,and the song its so cute, the lyrics made me cry. If Ai no Material has no fans that means Im dead.
Color of Drops-Nothing much to say about here, good song.
Ice Drop- THE BEST AIRI COMM
Once upon a dream- I dont get why this song is hated.
Starry Sky Melody- Same as Once Upon a Dream.
Tricologe- One of my favorite commissions of all time, I wished more people talked about it.
Nomad- Im gonna say it, in my opinion, Nomad is better than I Nandesu and Watashi wa Ame, you can hear Enas emotion, she sounds in the verge of crying.
Reborn- Same as Made to Order, I get that slow songs are not for everyone but dont hate on it just because its slow.
Give me your Night- Very comfy song, love the lofi instrumental, and omg, Mizukis vocal are phenomenal
i agree that tondemo wonderz is both energetic but empty at the same time, but i still prefer it over mr. showtime 😓. (sorryy)
Here's my opinions:
Tera Tera: For me, this song isnt really overrated. Maybe a slight bit overrated, but their are more l/n songs that r more overrated than tera tera
More Jump More: Not much to say here, it is kinda overrated, but still really decent song
Rad dogs: Yeah. This one is really overrated. Their are way better toya comms like mirai
Beat Eater: I understand why this is overrated, hands down the best kohane comms
Tondemo Wonderz: after hearing what you said, tondemo does feel happy but empty at the same time.
Glory Steady Go!: in my opinon, its not really overrated.
Bug: Definitely agree with this one. It kinda gets annoying and repetitive after a while. Songs like saisei deserve more love
Samsa: in my opinon, there are more overrated songs than this one. Still kinda, but not as much as bug
Anyways, here's some underrated songs that should get more love:
purpose: not my favorite shiho comms, but still a pretty good one that needs more attention
icedrop: my favorite airi comms just below the peachy key, this is definitely an underrated song that more people should listen to
give me your night: ON MY TOP 3 BEST MIZUKI COMMS. One of the most underrated mizuki comms, it has a special place in my heart, sorry idsmile, but this is just better
saisei: i dont get why people hate this song. It describes mafuyu well, and its just such a good song that's overlooked
Filament fever: i feel like not enough people are talking about this tsukasa comms. It's literally so good and also feels overlooked by tondemo wonderz and mr showtime.
Float planner: my all time favorite haruka commission. It's just so good
once upon a dream: on my top 3 favorite emu comms. EXTREMELY underrated and overlooked, fight me on this one
Mirai: how is this song underrated?! From the cards to the song, hands down the best toya comms to exist
Gekkou: not a huge fan of akito comms, but this one is an underrated one i dont see much people talk about (atleast for me)
Hoshi wo tsunagu: though ichika comms are not my thing, this one in particular is the one i listen to and play alot. Idk why, but good song that needs more attention

i love mr showtime bc of the lyrics but yeah 88 stars and filament fever are simply better, but I adore all Tsukasa commissions (probably biased bc Tsukasa is my favourite character)

Tsukasa:my guy where is the agressiveness? YOU SOUND WAY TOO SILLY
Rin:everyone’s voices mesh with each other and then there’s her
Emu:would be better if she used her lower range
Nene and Rui sounds perfect (nene always sounds agressive so) I hope they gets alts

Some songs are overrated because they’re good (teratera, more jump more, tondemo, glory steady go, zamuza) and some songs are overrated but shit (rad dogs bc of the line distribution and i personally dislike bug bc of kairikibear being a weirdo and the sekai version is just not good, Mizuki carried) (imo!!)

big agree with all of these, but i think lower one's eyes should've been here too. the sekai version is super flat and boring sounding to me and i don't understand how it has over 21 MILLION views. the production is interesting at points in the instrumental, but then the chorus hits and i just feel nothing
