I came to Canada 1985 and just when I started learning English I remember started watching your show cheers my whole family would sit together and watch your show and that was a great bonding moment between us I am 52 years old now and I can’t begin to thank you enough for having this wonderful conversation between the three of you. I wish you health and happiness. You gentlemen are still making us smile despite of what is happening around us and you’re still giving us good memories, god bless you all.
Is anyone else watching this and just smiling at the fact that it exists? I was in a somewhat hopeless mood this morning until this popped up on my feed.
I just can't listen to the news anymore, so I enjoy playing this in the background while I am working. I only discovered it after Ted Danson was on Smartless -- my favorite podcast, but too funny & frenetic to work to. I'm glad to hear it lifted your spirits today. ❤❤❤
No. I loved cheers reruns growing up in the 90s and early 2000s, Frasier was good too. But this was just a good podcast. Ted and Woody are great together, you throw in kelsey then yeah they are going to skyrocket each other.
Lilith has visited. Roz is back. Frasier visited the old radio station in Seattle. Would be nice if an episode, maybe the season finale, would take place at Cheers with the old gang.🥰 Maybe they are easing us into it.🤔🤭
My ultimate Cheers/Frasier fantasy moment. They pull the old bar out of Parmount storage and have a massive Cheers/Frasier reunion in the old Cheers bar. Cherry on top: This will be Niles and Daphen's first appearance since the Frasier reboot. Mind blown.
ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS😊😊😊 GENTLEMEN THANKS TO ALL 3😊 OF YOU IT WAS AWESOME TO SEE ALL 3 OF YOU AGAIN LISTENING❤ TO ALL 3 YOU WAS A DELIGHT❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wow it’s amazing how all three of them are so different and get along really well. I would never have guessed that Ted is the introverted one. It’s nice to hear them laugh about their adventures together.
What a lovely conversation!! Really cheered this old broad up! I love actors and am glad I was one for years back when. Thank you for this!! Bless all of you!!
I've only ever seen Ted Danson in Cheers and Becker, so it comes as quite a surprise what a thoughtful, gentle and sensitive man he is. Guess he's a darn good actor too!
"if it weren't for gravity and mortality we'd all be partying like crazy and wouldn't have a spiritual thought" ~ a perfect summation, Mr. Danson. What a great interview!!!
I finally realize why they made Frasier a radio shrink (not a face to face one) - Kelsey has an amazing speaking voice. The richness of it really comes thru this podcast.
man.. TED is almost 77... Kels is like 70...and woody is 63 man.. crazy how time flies I think it debut in 82? ran for like 11 years.. I am 50.. so, in 82 I was like 8.. but. I remember starting to watch cheers around 87 or 88 probably on the second re-run circuit. and then it was playing pretty much all the time , I remember when Shelly was on and then Kirsty and the debut of Woody. yeah.. that music intro... it really is a classic track and so great.. you hear that first couple seconds and you know cheers is on..
Kelsey is my favorite. I was so happy they spun off and started Frazier. I was real young when Cheers started. I remember my mom’s friend telling her about this new show on tv. God knows the year, early 80’s- I immediately got hooked on Cheers at like 9 or 10. Then I remember watching the opening episode of Frazier in the early 90’s and thinking it was smart, witty, great. I lived in Seattle later when Frazier was in its later years. Such good times. Great comedy shows. Kelsey Grammer in real life is a class act. Good dude.
I hung out with Kelsey a few times briefly in N.Y in my local bar in NYC when he went on break during his Broadway show a few years back he invited me over to his table with his group talked about his X-men Beast role and comic books he’s a huge fan but yea he was fun , funny I hung out with George Wendt ( Norm ) a year earlier but in the day he just happened to be sitting at the end of the bar where I was ( like in cheers ) and his wife told me to keep and eye on him and don’t let him drunk shots ( he was bombed ) anyway I gave him a few shots and when she came back she wanted to kill me she barely was able to get him off the his seat . Lol
As a 42 year old man, I’ve been watching these guys since I was a kid. Cheers is still a show I revisit from time to time. Last week I watched “Periscope Down” for the first time. Really fun movie btw. Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for all the great years of entertainment gentlemen. To many more 🍻
These guys have had completely different lives, and are all so positive, gracious, thankful, curious, sincere, family focused. Spiritual yet in different and respectful ways. I will work to amplify those characteristics in myself to age into men like this! What great examples to aspire to be more like.
@@slipperyjim1497 that's a shame. At least in this interview, he was a model of good behavior and positive values. That can still be true, even if his religion or politics are vastly different from my own
@@guru47pino, the MAGA traitor is who he REALLY is. You’re still getting conned by a charming actor. His own kids don’t speak to him (yes, he lies about this).
This is your BEST episode, yet, and I’ve listened to them all! Thanks for going deep, unabashedly! This was funny, moving, loving, vulnerable, real, and amazing! I love all three of you, your work, and this authenticity!
I love all 3 of you guys. Cheers. I probably saw over 200 times each and every episode literally, I can sit there and binge-watch cheers over and over again, the same with Frasier. I binge-watching over and over and over again. I love Frasier, I love Cheers. All 3 of you guys are just awesome. The funniest people. I love and I can sit down every single day and literally watch your episodes over and over and over a hundred times each and every one of them, because I love them all, I thought you guys were great! I watched Ted Danson and cousins and other movies. He's done I love you more than life itself. Woody, Harrison my God, all the movies you've done. Love them all Frasier, I cannot get enough of Frasier. I binge watched that literally. I fall asleep to it, same with Cheers. I fall asleep to both of them in my ear. Because I love you guys so much.
Awesome. You like to see guys just being guys; throwin' the mix of life around; lifting each other up, most simply, because, "They were there!" Awesome.
That was a great and sincere interview. While I don't agree with Kelsey's political views (I wouldn't vote for Trump for ant stomper) but I have the upmost respect for Grammer.
Yeah I just don't have time for content anymore where the people aren't saying exactly what they're thinking without being afraid to get laughed at. It makes small talk seem so worthless to see emotionally developed men speak frankly about the reality of their lives.
What a wonderful hour this was. Thanks to the three of you, not just for this podcast but for your body of work. I still watch Frasier and Cheers regularly, especially when I need a pick-me-up. Binging both after my divorce did wonders for my mental well-being. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I’m so glad Kelsey has a great big family. It must help and be soothing to such loss at the beginning of his life. It was an unnatural amount of calamity. I completely understand his connection to art, Shakespeare, and spirituality.
Absolutely, positively, unequivocally loved watching the three of you! Whatever the argument was over was clearly a non issue now and the conversation was riveting! I especially enjoyed the end when you got on the topic of religion. I am not religious but we all have to deal with the fact that we are going to die. And the way Kelsey and Sam, Sorry, Ted, put there experiences and thoughts into it was genius. From a religious perspective, we are here for a reason. From a scientific perspective, of the odds of us even being here and string theory experts, that we should not be unless it was a plan of someone or something. Loved you all in Cheers, loved you all in your great careers after and hope you get together again because this was remarkable for me!
That was a great conversation with Kelsey. The 3 of you have always some of my favorite people from TV and Movies. I've been lucky enough to meet Kelsey briefly a few times at the Paramount lot. Cheers is my all time favourite TV Show, grew up with it like an extension of my family. Named my middle child after Sam Malone. To see these 3 Legends chat and reminisce just warms my heart. Love you guys ❤
I just discovered it on Paramount three months ago and I am obsessed. I’m a 90s kid so I didn’t really grow up with it but I knew of it. I actually like Diane 😂 I think she balances off the laid back bar comedy because she’s such an over the top caricature lol now I’m checking out Taxi. Those shows have such a nostalgic sound. The jazzy music and the gentle scenes of big cities. The jokes are very standard, nothing too offensive but also relatable.
Imagine those wild nights Woody (my grandmother's nickname) & Kelsey shared.Ted clearly remorseful he didn't partake in their adventures. Hope they find a project to reunite their exceptional talent & chemistry Grammer's a unique attractive being, his survival is astounding and inspirational. Given his understandable hedonistc days his family and the world are lucky to still have him. Great conversation with three wonderful real life characters. Thank you.
Big fan of Kelsey. Frasier is one of the best TV shows ever created! I’ve read his autobiography & he has had some awful tragedies in his life but he seems really happy and at peace with himself now, which is lovely to see ❤

I'm obsessed with Frasier, so happy you have Kelsey on! The three of you together bring me so much joy! Ted, you are great at this podcast thing 👌🏽 Cheers 🍻
Your podcast is always interesting and entertaining. Ted, you’re an engaging/easy-going conversationalist. And Woody offers his own likable energy. Obviously, you guys have a history and still have a wonderful chemistry. Kelsey Grammar is always interesting in or out of the many different parts that he played. Wonderful to hear the three of you connect, talking about the great times and some not so great times. It’s like you guys are “war” buddies who relied on one another in a foxhole of sorts. “Cheers!” (from a later CMU alum,Ted) 🍻
I’m not a Kelsey Grammar fan, exactly, but this was good to hear. Sad he endured so many horrible events when young. There but for the grace of God . . .
That was an AWESOME podcast! Really enjoyed seeing all you guys together again. Okay, so when are Ted and Woody making a guest appearance on the new Frasier show? You gotta do it Kelsey. :)
. I can't for the life of me, figure out why, but seeing and hearing Kelsey Grammer here, makes me IMMEDIATELY think of Tom Hanks.......not, of course, that the two of them are at ALL alike, because they are not, but there is just SOMETHING about both of them........two INCREDIBLY likeable, INCREDIBLY talented, INCREDIBLY charismatic people that just makes me wonder what it must be like to be able to be around either, or both of those amazing men in real life...... 🤔 .
What a trip to old times. I actually think that it is great for Conan to stay out of this one, despite how much I love his commentary. This is a true gem!
This is almost like the final episode of Cheers on steriods. But to Kelsy's point about the voice of God ..... experiencing myself, the only way I can describe it is.... you just know when your master is calling you - it is unmistake-able. Usually happens when you're in the depths of hurt, despair etc just so it is more apparent who it is.

36:00 Frazier, Season 2, Episode 16 "The Show Where Sam Shows Up," was Ted Danson's guest star on the original show.
I think he was probably referring to the new show, and how scared he was at the idea of playing Sam again after so many years.

Ted, Kelsey, Woody ... You should make a movie together and showcase Fun, Emotions, Friendship, etc.
I never end a podcast with Kelsey without smiling. I love his soul so much! 🤍
That was suprisingly personal. Very interesting and inspiring to watch.
