Born to Geese Howard, raised by Terry Bogard-Rock’s very being is one of mixed emotions and internal conflict. Despite having lived a new life with Terry, one day Rock finds himself facing off against a foe who claims to know about his past-namely his birth mother, and the fact that she is very much alive. Armed with this new information, the troubled youth resolves to find his own way through life-and fight on in order to make that happen.

South Town’s very own Legendary Hungry Wolf. Following his epic encounter with archrival Geese Howard, he takes young Rock (Geese’s son) under his wing, and the two are inseparable-until the events of a fateful tournament compel them to go their separate ways. Terry fights it out on the streets for several years thereafter, but when word of an upcoming martial arts tournament-“KOF”-reaches him, he realizes that another date with destiny awaits...

A young girl searching far and wide for her older brother, who disappeared when her mother passed away. As luck would have it she would one day run into someone who looked very much like him, though he denied all knowledge of the matter. But that was then, this is now, and Hotaru still hasn’t given up: determined to fight the mysterious stranger again and convey her true feelings, she sets off into the unknown once more.
■TIZOC (Voice Actors: S Jalen K. Cassell)
An invincible symbol of justice who now makes his triumphant return to the ring. Despite hanging up his boots for a time, the joyous cries of the children in his corner spur him into action-and bring him back home. Pledging to lift the spirits of one young fan in particular, he laces up and sets his sights on the squared circle once again. For the mighty Tizoc, one thing’s for sure: this fight will be even more furious than the last.
■PREECHA (Voice Actors: Mia Paige)
A scientist investigating the wonders and miracles of a fascinating principle known as ki (spirit energy). She also happens to be the star pupil of Joe Higashi, the acclaimed Muay Thai champ himself! While her martial arts talent can’t be denied, that’s not to say she’s only in it to win it either; indeed, Preecha fights for academic purposes, not accolades. She hates the pain, but sure is willing to endure it-as long as it furthers her research into unique and perplexing fight styles.

I'm so glad SNK managed to properly transition their style into 3D! Each new release feels more and more in-line with their 2D roots
It's 2.5d... Tekken and soul Calibur are 3d because you can sidestep in a full circle

@@ddtk85 It was incredibly expensive unfortunately. 3D is much more cost effective. Pixel art is no different from if the game was animated in 2D drawings, if you're familiar with skullgirls they have a similar issue.

Never imagined SNK would finally give their games an English dub after so long. And they're going all-out with things this time getting high quality production behind it. They're cooking something good here.
There hasn't been an English Dub in an SNK game since Maximum Impact 1 and 2.
@@user-rq3og1pd4k KOF 12 and 13 technically had English dubs, but we don't talk about those. They were not of great quality, to the point where everybody pretends they just didn't exist. Even though Maximum Impact 1 & 2 didn't have great quality either at least those dubs were still kinda memorable.
They finally figured out that using JAPANESE voice actors for their ENGLISH dub was a bad idea.

@@KerunouIt has a more comic book inspired style, like Marvel vs. Capcom 3. You can see it if you look closer at the shading. The character models are also more designed to resemble Shinkiro artwork rather than Eisuke Ogura like with KOF. Their aesthetics have developed quite a bit since their KOF 14 days.
Gotta say im really impressed with SNK. They improved a lot since they transition into 3D with KoFXIV. Graphic wise, i love they went with a more MvC3 for it's shading of the characters and the overall art direction. The models look really good, you can tell they put a lot of hard work and care into them. VFX look way better than in KoFXV. Animation wise i love they way that character animate they are so smooth yet fast and snappy.
Rock looks fuckin phenomenal. Bro got Geese's moonslash but out of everything they gave him fucking Power Geyser. Yeah, im happy.

Graphically I was expecting something more blasting but the thing that HYPED me is the speed, the pace, the sound, the gameplay, this trailer really surprised me in a very very positive way. I cannot way to try it.

oooo I'm liking what I hear from the English VAs, they sound way more authentic than what we got in those PS2 games. I wasn't sure Terry Bogard's charm could be captured in English but that VA really works, sounds like he'll have a super-distinct voice fitting a guy from Southtown. Similarly authentic sounding, excited for Suzie Yeung as Hotaru; she killed it in Infinite Wealth imo

Love the use of 3D space in this stage. Crazy to hear SNK characters dubbed and not even be off-putting. Game's actually looking pretty solid, digging the new character too
Their faces and expressions are very good, the characters move so fluid and amazingly, and the 3D comic-book style looks about as nice as ever!

My God, this is the most visually interesting Fighting Game Ive seen! Its like you take the already awesomely striking lighting from KofXV and have these crazy colourful hitsparks like from Smash Bros (But shaped like the shattering glass effect) and sell the comic book aesthetic... honestly way better than UMvC3 did. I love this

@mappybc6097 actually he always been called tizoc and looked like that. In kof xiv they changed his appearance and name as well as some of his moves. Even some characters like Terry and b janet recognize him although he has a new design. He was with team Mexico in kof xiv then he was part of team GAW in kof xv.

SNK is now back at full steam, the gameplay is fire, the game models look crisp but the srt style is so full of personality you can easily see this is not just some KOF revamp it really feels its won, I'm so looking forward to this!

Tekken, Street Fighter, ArcSys games - all fantastic in their own way. Also, a successor to DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi is coming up, I have high hopes for that one. And LoL fighter looks interesting as well.

I want to emphasize that the game's art style is very beautiful in addition to this aesthetic reminiscent of comic books, it adds an extra charm and so are the character animations, the special effects of the blows, the smear effect and afterimages when the characters move super fast (especially Rock) and I liked this new character, Preecha seems to be Joe's student or something like that but I liked her style and I also liked the voices in English, the only nitpicking I have is in relation to Terry's Buster Wolf, in Mark of The Wolves the tone the scream was more of excitement as if he really enjoyed using that attack and it gave me a vibe like "hey, he's enjoying the fight" and in the following games he started to say the name of the move more seriously, but that's all a silly opinion on my part

Yeah notice with Street Fighter 6 how most of the advertisement is English Dub, Guilty Gear Strive also, especially after people were so disappointed the last Blazblue game didn't get a Dub.

It looks phenomenal! It's also pretty cool that we're getting english voices. I was a little hesitent on Preecha but the second I realized she's, like, Joe's apprentice or daughter I was instantly on-board.
I think she might to be his apprentice. Joe has no luck with women in the KoF timeline, but Fatal Fury is a different canon so you never know.
No it's definitely a disciple, the original scrapped Garou 2 gave him a disciple character, plus it's only been ten years since Geese has been dead and we assume not much time has passed since then from the original Garou, meaning Preecha looking the way she does makes no sense if she is Joe's daughter.

We've had to wait for what feels like forever, but it's been so worth it. Everything about this is amazing.
happy they finally added English voices with real VAs. Their Maximum Impact and KOF 12 dubs, seemed like they grabbed the janitor and the receptionist to do voices. Now they got real pros that sound better. Japanese still is best audio.

The voice actors sound amazing. There are not just reading lines on paper but there is passion and I can appreciate this the character designs are masterfully drawing with excellence. Now I have to sit here and wait an entire boring ass year for the masterpiece of a game to come out but I'm happy there are taking this time to make sure they deliver us an amazing title. Can't wait
It's great to see more Muay Thai character (definitely has got to be Joe's student or something) but it's weird that they used a male name for her. I have a Thai friend with the exact same name and Thai names are usually gender specific - at least when named by parents at birth.
Makes me wonder if there's more to the character or the dev simply just picked a random Thai name that sounds nice. Nevertheless, Preecha looks hella good! I'm definitely gonna try her out first!

Mark of the wolves had cut characters with mockup concept arts of what would they look like in game, and one of them is girl Muay Thai fighter that takes Joe's place since he ends up being in recovery at a hospital, but again that was cut.
But now seeing Preecha in the game, im soo hyped that they finished the concept and put it in the game!
If your hunch is right then this is probably as good/organic as it can get for a trans character. That was like normal in Thailand lol. Sadly I'm sure the "modern audience" gonna use this character and come up with some bs again.

I have a feeling it's more of a lack of deeper understanding than trying to pander in this case. Just like with another Muay Thai character from Fatal Fury, Hwa Jai, which literally means "Heart", and this name is given to a very lean, mean, brutish looking character, known for his competitive nature and even violence.
To make the matter a little bit worst, the word heart in Thai is supposed to be one word, meaning that the English spelling should have been "Hwajai" but they split the word into first and last name as Hwa and Jai. So basically, the guy's full name is 'He Art'. LOL

Well, we still don't know the full story of Preecha, so it could even be that she 'inherited' the name or something. But if it turns out that she's simply a female character with a masculine name, then I'll just chalk it off that the dev simply picked a Thai name that they liked without looking into the cultural relevance. LOL

The art style of this game looks amazing. Looks like a true AAA Game. Congrats SNK! Keep up the good work!
Animations and spark effects are pretty goddam stellar, character models highly improved from XV too (although faces seem similar with Preecha specifically).
Rock using sawblade and power geyser now is sick. Not feeling Preecha's design but otherwise everyone looks good.
Cant eait to see Blue Mary and Yamazaki.
