As a 26 year old who just bought an unused one from 1988 I am glad there is a video for the set-up. I am checking out more safety videos about the machine though, that was neglected here. Thanks
Поздравляю коллега, с покупкой этого станка! Он уже работает у Вас, настроили его? (мне всегда нравился инструмент DeWalt , поэтому тоже покупаю их вещи)
Very helpful when it came to the blade.. I was stuck on that with mine which is very similar . It's a Black and Decker but technically DeWalt so this helped a lot.. subscribed and thanks :o)
🙂 I bought a 2nd-hand DW721 a couple of months ago. Also has four bearings. But no brake, it seems! I think the Powershop came with the Electrostop brake, right?
@@woodensurfer, it does take quite a while, yes. I've also noticed some people in videos braking the motor by pressing a small button on the top right of the motor housing, but there's nothing like that on mine and I haven't located anything else like it anywhere else either. I don't really mind either, however, because I love the saw so much, I sometimes feel like starting it just to listen to it! It has an induction motor, so it's just about the quietest tool/machine I have, except for the lathe.
Ebay, Craigslist, LetGo, Facebook, machine auction sites, public auctions, high school wood shop closings. This stuff is no longer made by DeWalt/Black and Decker. Stay away from Craftsman Radial Arm Saws. Craftsman radial arm saw accessories are OK to use on DeWalt or Delta machines.
No accessory for sawdust control, or any mention of dust elimination via a workshop vacuum. In the rip section the dust is flying into the operator's face ! Those were the days.
Hey. hey, did ya notice: all those scales are metric. Must be this tool is only sold in metric places. Thanks a lot lawyers. What kind of blade is that? Looks like a 24 tooth ripping blade. Your crosscutting with a ripping blade. Are you crazy! Sure, chop up your fence and table with a whole bunch of slanted, angled, beveled cuts and then offer a mitre fence attachment. What kind of logic is that?.
Hey did you notice the narrator has a British accent? Dewalt is an American company so you will get an imperial version. The blade featured is supplied by Dewalt when you buy the saw. Tooth count doesn't have to mean its a ripping blade, thats a tooth geometry thing.

Only three bearings for the travel along the arm. Mine has four bearings. Powershop 770.

@@stadleroux Without brake the blade will take a long time to stop.
