Komatsu wheel loader L-2350
This is a massive wheel loader that works at big quarries and mines. The dump truck it works together with is huge, too. Each wheel has an electronic motor which works as a generator that lets us reuse the electricity created when the driver steps on the breaks. (Hybrid Drive System)

This is the L-2350 Le Tourneau loader after the company was purchased from Rowan by Joy Global and renamed P&H( Pawling and Harnischfeger) by Joy. Komatsu pur- chased Joy Global in 2017. The late R.G. LeTourneau was a well respect- ed man and name in the earthmoving industry.

That loader is massive but looks small next to that truck.

P.S. as in compari- son to the mega ( ultra) sized dump truck, the loader looks small, but notice the size of the coal bucket on the loader 70 cubic yards. The standard bucket for this loader is rated I believe, at 53 cubic yards.
The capacity is 67 cubic meters. Because they enlarged the bucket, in the workshops... they took it to the limit of the expanders...

Komatsu didn't build the L2350. They just bought the company that did.

I parked my '91 Explorer in the bucket of one of those or a sister version. I still have the polaroid. It was like pulling in a long parking spot and exiting without using reverse. 4 of that model left Peoria, IL via river barges. circa '92 or '93 I think. Hopping over the grouser teeth bump wasn't bad. A street car would scrape.
The bucket is about as big as a 40 foot transit bus
@@milestone_achiever4634 Umm, nowhere near that big. I won't go check but those machines do have operating limits. Ref.: The tires are approx 13' dia.

Actually Komatsu bought out Joy Global which owns P&H so really it is a Komatsu now
Youre deffinatly wrong info..joy global is still joy global corp.. Theres no official statements deal between kumatsu and joy global..

It depends. If it's a rental, you can use it for anything. Even marble 🤣🤣🤣
In a LeTourneau video a salesman makes sure everyone knows the 70 CY bucket is for coal exclusively. If You are loading rock You need a smaller 🪣

So now anything thats been bought from that is labeled Komatsu Mining (KMC)
And everything else Komatsu is still Komatsu.

Hate to correct you but it’s Not A Komatsu it’s actually a P&H Letourneau L 2350 they’re owned by caterpillar now. It’s manufactured in Texas do you know what they usually say Big things come from Texas😀
