Totally agree! A buddy purchased the Echo musky in March. SA Sonar Titan full inter 11wt was also the recommended purchase. He didn't cast them until a few weeks ago and ... eesh. I casted it and it seemed like a very poor marriage! Hoping different line will save the day. I have the G. Loomis and have started to like it more. What drives me absolutely insane is that I have to check the ferrules frequently on every outing because they frequently become loose.
How does the Limit Creek Force M1 cast? Positives, Negatives? I know they are very popular with some of anglers where I live. I have heard its a great rod without breaking the bank!
very similar to the gloomis so its a great rod. they are not winning any "awards" from us since they have severe durability issues. that being said, you get what you pay for and its a solid stick!
on the right rod, you could cast most lightweight lures and pretty much any fly ever created. We regularly cast 18 inch huge musky flies with added weight.
@@muskyfoolflyfishingok I’ve been throwing the salt pro around as that’s all I have but it’s been kinda tough I think it’s my fly line. I skimped on to many things. I have the salt pro in a 12 wt is there any line you could recommend that I could use right now and down the road when I get a nicer 11 wt?? Ik it’s. Little late on the reply😅
I think my casting is pretty good though I can throw smallie bugs all day and accurately and fly Muskie line I have with no flies but when my flies get on it’s just not it.
I would love to see a follow-up to this video...your favorite flylines to pair with these rods.
You got it! Thanks for tuning in!
It’s been argued that the line is more important than the rod. I’m just getting into Muskie, but in all the other fly fishing I’ve done it holds true.

I love the comments you get when casting at a park
Great review. Very helpful info as I’m looking for an 11wt for use specifically on lakes.
glad to hear it! Thanks for tuning in fella!
I just need one so I can get a line wet, best beginner fig and setup to get me husky fishing
Echo musky, whuff river wolf, orvis Clearwater are great options!
I'm surprised the TFO BC didn't even make the list! 😮 I got the 8wt and 10wt and love em. Some of my favorite rods.
it did not! overall very solid predator rod for slinging meat, but i fear it misses the mark as a dedicated musky fly rod in some ways.
Thanks for your support, Daniel!
@@muskyfoolflyfishing What do you think it lacks as far as being a dedicated musky fly rod?
Chippewa 10wt 1 piece has been working for me for 4-5 years now. Only reason I’d try something different is if I wanted to throw truly huge flies.
Such a great stick!

How big of a fly could you cast with a 800 grain line?

@muskyfoolflyfishing Wow that's crazy!
Could the Echo Musky 8'8" handle a 600 grain line?
No. 500 is a lot for that rod.
@muskyfoolflyfishing ok thank you!
Could you recommend a line that you guys sell. Mainly for lakes and reservoirs. Throwing 8-12 inch bucktails?
Where maxcatch salt pro😢!!! Just kidding a $100 budget is a $100 budget
Probably the best musky fly rod for $100!

I’m fishing medium to large sized Mississippi River stretches. But bouncing around to big lakes to.

I bought one just to see what it can do ,.. works fine ,.. just try different lines to find the one that works well for you 😊
