- This is the complete Sinead O'Connor Pink Pop festival concert 1988 in Audio only, I hour of that amazing performance with the mindblowing Troy near the end..... unfortunately I cannot find the complete video of her set that day.
Enjoy the live atmosphere, its electric.
If anyone has the complete video prog or more video clips please upload it before its lost forever ! It has to be out there, as two video clips,Troy and Jump in the river are on YT.
Nothing Compares to Sinead, she is a one of a kind. There is no one like her. Simply amazing!!!

Pinkpop 1988 was my first music festival. This performance is one of the most impressive I have ever seen. Everybody was blown away. I used to have this on a lost cassette tape - thanks for publishing.
Thats absolutly 100% true, I was there too... you could feel her voice and power.
She’s still with us can’t you feel her presence through her music 🎼 and the undying love and devotion she wrought with her tragic story loss of her son Shane most of all😢
OMG OMG OMG!!!! The long version of "the year of the horse"! To hear an unpublished (at the time) Jump in the River, and the B side Value of Ignorance!!!! and the "Hand that Rocks the Cradle" which I've heard her sing before (smiths) I had never heard this version it moved me to tears instantly!!! Sinead at her best! John.... god bless you!!! And Sinead.... keep rocking! we love you!!!

Which Boston concert? I was lucky to see her in 2005 in Boston right after the release of "throw down your arms" which was interesting because 90 percent of the set list that night was from the CD and she didn't open with the "emperor's new clothes" which she used to open with at every show I've seen her at.

I was at the Sinead's show at Le Spectrum, a club in Montreal a month before the PinkPop festival. I can recall vividly her cover of The Hand that Rocks the Cradle, her band featured Andy O'Rourke on bass and Mike Joyce on drums. The Smiths had broken up a year earlier.

I was there too. Just w my girl. Travel from London and back just to see her after seeing her earlier the same year back home at the Dominion Theatre.

Troy is her best song I think. its amazingly fantastic. Everyone Would Like A Drink Before The War, Mandinka, and the ones you said, Call Me Joe and Hands On Me. It's one of the best debuts albums of all time. She was something else!! A one-off, just the only one of her kind. No none compares.

The dutch television used to make the official video. But they didn't tape everything because it is a 2-day festival. Nowadays they broadcast a lot of it also but not back in 1988.

Nice performance of Jerusalem (16:53). I think that's her best original song, and I wish I could find more versions of it.
Just Like You Said it Would Be (12:15) is good.
Mandinka (03:17) is harmed here by the drumming in the chorus -- too harsh, interferes with the singing. It just doesn't seem right for the song.
I Want Your Hands on Me (41:44) is a crowd pleaser, dedicated to all the men, "particularly black ones".
Troy here (46:40) is powerful.
She finishes with a beautiful rendition of a "very very old Irish song", I'm Stretched on Your Grave (54:13).

There are 3 or 4 songs ON VIDEO from this concert inc Troy on YT.
I could swear I had an EP that included this version of Troy, along with 3 other songs. I can't remember 100% (it was over 30 years ago, lol). I've looked everywhere, googled, checked ebay. etc and I don't see it anywhere. I'm almost positive it was not a bootleg. Is anyone familiar with what I am talking about?
