Another gem, thanks for sharing. 👍🤓
No problem 👍
I had a 2017 ford fusion, with an Aftermarket key. Cut & programmed it no problem with a KM100. The buttons worked, and it started in the slot. Removed it from the slot and tested the proximity start and that also worked. I unplugged, got my stuff gathered, shut the door and locked it with the remote, unlocked, tested trunk, all checked OK, got paid and left.
I got a call 30 minutes later that the car would not start
Got back, tested the buttons, that al worked. Got in tried to start it via prox, and no key detected. Put it in the slot, and it started. Removed the battery and tested it at 100%. I carry many 2032s so for the heck of it, I tried one, still no prox start.
I did an all keys lost with an OEM and the after market and the OEM worked perfectly, but the aftermarket buttons worked and started in the prog slot only , but the prox function would work only right after programming with the programmer plugged in.
Sounds like the key wasn't unlocked right. I have ran into that a lot with refurb and non OEM stuff.
I appreciate you man. I was able to program the remote/ transmitter on a 2019 Jeep Compass
Glad to help. 👍
Hi I really like your channel. I am a locksmith myself. I use mainly xhorse remotes and they actually have this one for this car.
I have all the Xhorse stuff in the truck to do it but, people look at me funny when I hand them those keys. I like to stay OEM as much as possible. I only use it as a last resort.
Amazing ,thank you so much for the great video .
Glad you enjoyed it!
I noticed the passenger door was open when you first tried the aftermarket keys when it should have been closed and it was closed when you used the factory keys
Doesn't make a difference
When You read the Pin with the 508 did you use the same brute force cable or the 12+8 cable and connected under the dash like it asked? Great video!
Same cable.
Why did u pull the civic cylinder just duplicate the key or was it to worn to copy… I love my adc2011 star connector bypass cable saves so much time on 2018 up on DJC I ran into this same problem doing a prox for a 2016 Jeep renegade with an aftermarket prox then my Autel im508 told me I needed a oem key so I tried an oem jeep prox & still had the same problem & I still never got it to program that’s was the first one I haven’t been able to get for some reason but it had me only hit the unlock on the prox one time within 30 seconds not like the others chargers durangos challengers etc that have you hit the unlock repeatedly until it goes through
It only take 30 seconds to pop the cylinder on the Honda. I just pull it and put the key back to factory specs. I haven't had problems with OEM keys on the Jeeps.
solid work as usual 👍🏻👍🏻. definitely enjoyed the jeep never seen one done before.
Glad you enjoyed it. I thought it would help some guys out.
@@locksny definitely helped
Great Stuff With Professional Problem Solving Skills : > )
Thanks again Stephen !
And that’s why I gave up Auto 😂
What an arse ache that Jeep was!! Glad you got it done in the end with the OEM remotes Jay.
I still love working on cars. Nothing like OEM stuff.
👀
Looking at the thumbnail to this video: I'm like, "What the heck are you doing now?" Now I gotta watch and see if I can learn something new.
😂
Ah.. Gotcha.. But did you learn anything ?
@@locksny um… Hondas suck. Don’t purchase prox keys from international key supply. Oh and keep a locksmith friend on speed dial. You didn’t didn’t show how to use the kaba D-59 installation key tho. How will I ever learn that? 😂 good shit tho
@@SamtheoriginalClassic It's in one of the other videos I did 😁
@@locksny dang it. Now I have to watch every single video. I might have done it once or twice on my own, but you never know. Maybe you have a technique I haven’t seen yet.
@@SamtheoriginalClassic You never know, you may learn something else 😁
Hello , great video a quick question please . What about renegade 2019 blade key ? I searched most of the car but i couldnt fine anywhere gateway mod . I found pin with can h can l connection like this but this is the most i can do . Any idea please ? Needs immodata but i cant pull .Thank you in advance
I'm 99% sure I've done a video on the Renegade and the location.
@@locksny i was able to read pin but i couldnt retrieve immo data to make dealer key .
great video good job where vyou buy the jumpers you used
Thanks ! It's the Brute Force cable, I'm sure most of the larger auto key suppliers have them.
I've been out of the game for a 10yrs-ish but on the Jeep, it doesn't have an OBD to hook to or you can't for various reasons? ........good 'real world' video as always, appreciate it.
It has an OBD port, you just can't use it for programming keys, the older stuff you can use the OBD port. You have to tap into the hi and low information lines to program the keys.
@@locksny huh, good to know. thanks man 👍
What's amazing about your Chrysler work is you are doing it one handed for the most part...... Kinda like the way I handled puberty 🤣🤣...and maybe quality control at IKS?
seriously though, Thanks for the content, Jay! This will be an important reference video down the road.
Thanks 👍 I figured a lot of guys haven't had the chance to do one yet and it would be good reference for guys to know what wire goes where. Not to mention, it will save a lot of messed up headliners in the back. Hahaha
I’m seeing a few bypass cables with the probes. Which one are you using exactly??
That's the Brute Force cable.
I've tried on a jeep compass 21 same location but the IMMO was locked Add key I'll retry again today and see
I haven't done a 21 yet. Are you using a brand new OEM key or refurb ?
@@locksny yes OEM and I've done it finally
@@locksnyjust worked on another 1 20 f crazy just couldn't get the pine 2 hours.
I tried every f thing.
2mo I'll try wiv other tools.
Hi, is it the same process for a 2022 Compass?
Yeah. The 23 is different.
did you check for batteries in those smart keys ? and remember the gas here is twice what you pay
Batteries was the first thing I checked. I gotta get a moped. Hehe
I don't buy from them anymore because they don't work. And I stopped buying refurbished keys anymore because I'm tired of having problems with them not programming. But I don't have a problem with blue rocket keys and you should always make sure the vehicle battery is fully charged because most won't program if the battery is below 12 volts
I have a Blue Rocket keys that needs to be sent back, I just haven't got around to it yet.
Wow your videos look great in 4K on a 75 inch TV. I can tell how dirty those cars are!
I think I saw some hair on the seat of that jeep
Yes that was definitely hair
Maybe it came off my arm. LMAO
Did you Lishi the door for the emergency key?
Yes, SIP22
Wow, what a gigantic pain in the $@&$ saga that was, so much time wasted because of the bad after market keys, then the OEM ones just worked the first time. Good to have buddies who can help you out though! Thanks for sharing, loved seeing under the plastic and tapping into the signal lines even if it did end up being a PITA 🤣
It's always good to have friends in the locksmith business. I like to show the cars that kick my ass also, it's not always as easy as it looks.
19-20 wrangler or gladiator OEM keys also
But away American key supply
Blue rocket brand better quality
The Wrangler and a few others I know of with the OEM keys. I have bought from both of them, I try to stay local so I can get it faster.
Do you own the business? Or work hourly/commission? Curious
Own
No need for all of that on the top of the trunk there is the connector like jeep renegade
I thought it would save a couple headliners :)
I heard those cable ADC 2012 Doesn't work on the newer model like 20 plus and I probed On to a jeep location at the trunk used im508 never worked
I'll bet the keys from IKS were refurbs...... They are virginized wrong. No big surprise. 😒
Bad keys like that end up costing $$ in gas at $4.50 a gallon with driving back and forth these days.
