Also ich war schon auf einigen Joe Satriani Konzerten und kann dazu nur sagen, wenn Joe das mal hört würde er seinen Respekt aussprechen. Sehr präzise gespielt Jens!
Great cover. Just wanted to say man I found your profile on the Rig Exchange whilst looking for a good Satch amp/tone and I freakin love it, quickly became one of my favourites, decided to Google the creators name and see if I could find who made it which brought me here! Thank you dude :D
@@DavidJosephBoth Hey dude! What you hear in the video is the Kemper. I enjoy this piece of gear a lot! For me the dynamics a great on the Kemper and I don't really miss anything from a real amp. I changed to the Kemper because of the logistics and variety of tones for recording at home. If you are perfectly happy with the JVM and don't need all that I'd probably go with an attenuator. But in my opinion the Kemper is amazing and offers a lot of possibilities. I don't feel like you can go wrong with that one. Depends on what you want to do with it and how you use it though.
Very nice. I know this tune pretty well and I did a play-along on my channel and I'd say you pretty much nailed it. I don't have any gripes which is shocking because I always find little differences in people's cover attempts but you did a great job on this one. Mine... I didn't copy it 100% and also I didn't use a backing track. I would prefer that but I prob couldn't find one at the time. So, you're like what, 20 or something? I saw some vids 7 years ago on your channel and you look like a young kid. hahah keep rocking man! You are good!
Thank you very much! I appreciate it! Just saw your vid. I'd say you did a pretty good job as well! Yeah, I'm 21 now. 19 at the time of the video. haha pretty cool you saw some of my first videos! Rock on!
Awesone Jens!!! I am thinking about buying a Luxxtone in the near future. It would be my first Floyd Rose guitar... I´ve heard really bad things about FR equipped guitars regarding problems when bending strings due to the floating nature of the trem. You don´t seem to have any problems with your perfect bends... Your opinion? Also, it seems you´ve had your "El Machete" for quite some time now. Do you still consider it a good buy? (the price tag is sincerely quite high, and nobody stocks these beauties in my country, so I got no chance to test them myself...) Thanks and keep the great videos coming!
Hey, thanks mate! :) I don't have problems with my bendings. It's basically the same as a normal tremolo system you find on a strat but it stays in tune no matter what you do with the whammy bar. The only "problem" is that if you bend one string the others go out of tune a bit because the hole tremolo system/Floyd Rose shifts downwards. But you have that problem on any guitar with a Tremolo or FR. You can compensate that if you press the side of your hand against the FR to hold it in place (stole that trick from Mr Guthrie Govan). But I would recommend to use a tremblocker with a Floyd. I have one on mine and Luxxtone can install it for you. With it you loose the ability to raise the pitch with the Floyd but in case you break a string you don't go out of tune. That's a hugh plus for me because I play a lot of live gigs and don't want my guitar to go wildy out of tune if I break a string. And also restringing is alot easier. With a tremblocker you can also tighten the springs in the back of the guitar to press the sustain block hard against the tremblocker. That way you basically can achieve that you don't go out of tune if you do a doublestop bend because the FR won't shift downwards if the springs in the back pull hard enough. But I don't do that because you have to put a lot of force on the whammy bar to press it down and I don't like that. For this video here I actually removed the tremblocker because I needed to pull up on the whammy bar to raise the pitch. As you can see/hear I had no problems with playing like that. So yeah..I never had any struggles with my Floyd. It's easy to handle, stays in tune and you can do awesome dive bombs. Yeah..I have my Luxxtone for a while now. It's still my favorite guitar and my main live guitar. It plays like a dream, sounds awesome, has a wide variety of tones and it looks insane (in my opinion..I really like relic guitars). It's a lot of money but I think it's absolutely worth it. I tested 3 Luxxtone guitars here in Germany and than ordered my own because all 3 were great but not with the right specs I wanted to have. I don't know if you want to order one if you didn't tested one of their guitars once but I think you won't be disapointed. A lot of words.. but I hope that helps! :) If you have any more questions let me know! Cheers!
Jens, thank you very much for your quick and comprehensive answer!!! Just one more question. How long did it take your custom order since you ordered until you received your guitar? Also (please feel free to not answer if you don´t feel comfortable about it) how much did it cost including customs, shipping, and taxes? Thanks again!!!!
Yeah, I think the Kemper that good. For me the Kemper isn't missing anything a real amp has. And I have the problem that I can't really get my tubes of my Marshall working because it's just too loud. With the Kemper I profiled my cranked Marshall once and always have great tones at low volumes. So it's perfect for me :)
Well...a 10 on execution, sound and fidelity compared to the original...I'd work on the Stage Show, some bombs lighting fire smoke machines lazers and hot dancers...but otherwise it's a 10 across the board.
Superb! Great tone
