In Holland, pretty much all pro (and enthousiastic amateur) shooters wear MSA / Sordin Supreme. The rest wears 3M Peltor (so do I, Peltor Sporttac). Walker, Howard Leight and others are very rarely seen. Some people wear a cheap chinese copy of one of the other brands but I would NEVER gamble my hearing for a cheap price. Those chinese copies are not tested and some sounds that wreck your hearing cannot be easily heard. So even if it sounds quiet, you can still get hearing damage. Just get the good stuff like 3M or Sordin.
I bought the Walker 100 Xcel Digital Electronic Muff w/ voice clarity and my husband and son Love them! Now they are not the razors, so I know they’re different, but they’re still made by Walker and they said that they work great! To each their own.
Thank you for the informative video. I am a new gun owner and I bought the HL Impact Sport. Went to a gun range two days ago and my right ear is still plugged. And they were not very comfortable just as you described. I just sent them back and I'm going to try the HL Pro.
Do headphones properly attenuate sounds at closed ranges? I work at a shooting range, sometimes spending up to 12 h nonstop there. I need something that very well suppresses the sound of firing both from 9mm and 7.62 greetings
What I'm hearing (pun intended) is that the best hearing protection is the cheap foamy ear plugs or the silicon ear plugs and stay away from the expensive electronic hearing protection all together.
Everyone has their own opinion. However, I bought both the Axil and the Walker Razors. My experience in an indoor range was similar to what you described in that I found both Axil and Razor severely lacking. After I heard the first shot fired from three booths down, I literally ran out of the range to put on my $14 H*** F**** active headset back on which worked so much better. Same thing when I tried the Razor headset. Looking at the Peltor and AKT, but for now, still using my bulky $14 ones.
So..the ENTIRE point of hearing protection is, well, HEARING PROTECTION right? So not one mention of the decibel rating (level of protection) on any of these in your video? SERIOUSLY? Comfort is secondary at best, and it's all you talked about.
The impact pro that you mislabeled as walkers are nearly identical to the impact sport with how the earmuffs articulate and adjust. What’s the point of this video?!
I looked at the Howard Leight's because they're supposed to be made in America, but other sources say their country of origin is China. I ended up going with a pair of Pro Ears. Same reason I went with a Trijicon instead of Holosun. I realize that not everyone can afford the extra cost of buying American and I can't always either, but I do when I can.
Spend once cry once, buy quality 200-300 and have them for 6-10 years or buy budget and rebuy it over and over with lower overall user experience. Buy MSA Sordin, OTTO, maybe not AMPs but you get what I’m saying, I’m guilty too, I have a garage full of garbage to prove it. Trust me spend for quality on your ear pro. You won’t regret it.
I traveled 7 hours trip bought myself a set of impact sport H light they are crap mate ,buy once cry once get the pelators only one set of ears mate don’t waste them
There is no such thing as Walker Impact Pro - Notice he does not provide a link for that - He is clearly holding them up and talking bout them and referring them however the headphones clearly say Howard on them....Can we really trust this guy?
If he is saying even Sordins or Peltors are also meh then idk, ear pro industry needs to shutdown. But after watching many reviews, Axil and Howard Leight get positive reviews and of course Sordins and Peltors are praised as the top tier. But I personally would not trust Peltor after they lost their billion dollar lawsuit in liability payouts from bad design that failed to protect hearing.
i hear you i just want to see the proof every video i watch is just people’s opinions nobody has brought the facts yet except for Garand Thumb he did a good video but only the expensive ones tho
I just want a good pair for hunting. Both archery and rifle. I shoot a crossbow now so the Walker Razors will not get in the way of any bow string. You said that you can hear a mouse a good distance away. So that sold me on the walker Razors. Thanks

Funny this is about sound. If I turn it down to where the shots don't annoy me, I can't hear you.

You must’ve got some defective Axils because they are fantastic
So, you were mentioning a Walker Pro but held up a HL Pro. So, the winner is the HL Pro then, right, aside from the Pro Ear?
Bwahahahahaha I saw that 2 was like wtf... Label your $[!%
@@HaV0K8Z3rO Great catch! Thanks!
I messed up, thanks for catching it! :) Howard Leigh Pro was my #2 pick! :)

Always double up on an indoor range ( wear ear plugs under your ear pro's ). Even expensive ones will not give enough protection indoors.
So..the ENTIRE point of hearing protection is, well, HEARING PROTECTION right? So not one mention of the decibel rating (level of protection) on any of these in your video? SERIOUSLY? Comfort is secondary at best, and it's all you talked about.
I prefer the Walker Excel versions over the Razors
The newer walker xtrm set is pretty nice
The impact pro that you mislabeled as walkers are nearly identical to the impact sport with how the earmuffs articulate and adjust.
What’s the point of this video?!
So walker razor for hunting.
4:58 you mean Howard Light Impact Pro. Not Walkers. No such thing as Walkers Impact Pro. Thank.
The head band in the video even show Howard Leight as he calls them Walkers and as the text on the screen incorrectly says "Walker Impact Pro"
I take it the impact pro's are Howard Leight not Walker

MaDe iN uSa!
Keep thinking you're actually buying 100% American made parts.. This country has sold out to China long ago bud
Howard Leight Impact Pro are not Walker's. They are made by Honeywell. You need to correct your video.🤔
Good catch, unfortunately, RUclips doesn't allow corrections, but great catch!

4:46 well, that's the last one
Yea that’s cool but where’s that jacket from I love it
StrikerICE Climate Jacket - Red
Axil ghost stryke 2.0 are so good
I traveled 7 hours trip bought myself a set of impact sport H light they are crap mate ,buy once cry once get the pelators only one set of ears mate don’t waste them
😂😂
Bro you jumpscared me with that shot
thanks for the info 👍

I wouldn't trust him, unlike you, evidently he occasionally misspeaks occasionally! lol ;-)
Audio too weak. Funny on a hearing protection video...

anything walker just breaks and does not last for crap.
I've had mine for 8 years. Not a single problem with them. How long have you had yours ?
I can't hear you! It sounds like I'm wearing ear protection. WTF
The volume on this is terrible
Walkers are the best earpro.. what you say is totally wrong
i hear you i just want to see the proof every video i watch is just people’s opinions nobody has brought the facts yet except for Garand Thumb he did a good video but only the expensive ones tho

I agree I have the walkers razor slim that he said sucks and I love them. They are very decent for 40 dollars.
I just got some and they were ass. That’s why I’m looking at these videos to get better ones
Sounds like someones never used ProEars.
PLEASE GET TO THE POINT.
I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR SO MUCH ADDITIONAL.
I WANT TO KNOW WHICH IS BEST PROTECTION---PERIOD!
Context is pretty important when judging things. Seeing as it's all opinion based and not everyone has the same opinions about things.
they are all made in one factory in china......
