  • Nancy Sinatra singing her hit "If he'd love me" on a black dress and without her boots in 1965.This song is taken from her LP "Boots", first successful album in America after several records (LP's and singles) that weren't hits in USA or other countries in America.
She looks pretty, but we miss her boots in this clip¡¡¡

Isn't she absolutely gorgeous? And that beautiful voice. And that special way with a song, any song. Forget that she was Frank's daughter; she was always able to stand on her own merits and still does.

Her singing looks effortless. Such a talent. My two year old son loves her whole Boots album. We have it on vinyl and he’s obsessed with it. Our vinyl player is broken though, so RUclips it is 😊

Superb! Nancy kicks it out of the park. Neat trivia: This great ballad on the classic Boots album was written by singer-songwriter Mirriam Eddy, wife of legendary guitarist Dwayne Eddy. In 1970, Mirriam would marry Waylon Jennings, change her stage name to Jessi Colter, and score some of the biggest hits of the 1970s with Grammy-nominated country/pop sensations “I’m Not Lisa,” “Storms Never Last,” “What’s Happened to Blue Eyes,” and her big-selling Capitol albums, all self-written. She was also the original “Lady Outlaw” featured with Jennings and Willie Nelson on WANTED : THE OUTLAWS-the first country album certified platinum. I think it’s great that her success started with Nancy recording one of her songs on a landmark album. She sings it brilliantly.

This isn't bad, but she was better a year after this when she adopted that tough-girl stance with her first huge hit and signature song "These Boots are made for Walkin'"

*Sigh* I can't believe I'm saying this, but this is unfortunately one of Nancy Sinatra's better songs. I've listened to the entirety of "Boots" and she has a very inflexible voice. Whenever she doesn't feel passionate about a song, she only does the bare minimum, and she doesn't really convey emotion very well. I know that she's not as good as Arethra, or Tina, or Barbra or even Cher when it comes to her vocals, I was expecting that. But she is just not that great a crooner. Other female crooners at the time like Brenda Lee, Liza Minelli, Peggy Paige and Doris Day danced circles around her. And as for her attempts at rock and folk, I'm sorry but when you're going up against Patty Smith, Joni Mitchell and Grace Slick, you'll lose every time. Now, I'm not saying she's a bad artist. "Boots" is a decent album and she's a good singer, just not a great singer. And when your best song is the theme to a James Bond movie, maybe your back catalogue isn't as deep as people think.
