That truck is worth 60000 today
Wow ! They should bring back the old style..and make them again !
He said 4000$ and I rolled my eyes, it’s always surprising how little these were goin for
Condition is everything
Truck reminds me of a time I wish I lived. The romance and ideas were everywhere. It was alive back then with hope.
Now everyone is a zombie staring at thier smartphone being filled with bs.
lol "It's the ONLY pickup I've got..." AND it's keeping that spot in the barn warm!
bargain at 55 today. it use to be fun to make old junk go again, now it is a financial nightmare for most of us
And a mental illness for the rest of us 😆
That was a steal at $5500
Some of us want to see the negotiation before knowing the selling price.
@@spoileralert3754 truth
Its was a steal for sure
doesnt want to sell it because he loves it so much yet leaves it full of junk for 15 years.
That is definitely a Vermont liberal- avoid Vermont at all costs - the cops are worse.
They'll ticket that truck right off the road if anybody tries to register and drive that..
UN Agenda 30
A Great Find... A Rare Year and in Amazing condition for it's age. Thanks for Sharing
I would have liked to see the Ford Galaxy. It looked clean
Yeah that was a 60 galaxy!
@@paulrinehart4262 Are you sure? Me thinks the Galaxy was a 62. My Mom had one. Acres of steel in it.
@1:40 Got to love the spare tire. I hope you brought your tools with you.
Wolf is like"I'm thinking on how much I'm going to have to put into it"..... Give me a break it's all original.... From the looks of it it's not going to take much some new fluids and clean it up..... That truck is a steel under 10 grand….. come on history channel give us a break
And steel in general.
Truck is worth 15 grand
We need to watch new episode!
That is the greatest American history
That was a great find and a great buy.
Classic old car hard to find. This is ONE, beauty waiting to be pick up.
I would rather watch Robbie than Mike on American Pickers... I like his attitude!
Man, that was 10grand easy, that was wrong.
i agree that was 10 grand easy they low-balled and screwed him. if he just kept it and fixed it up himself he coulda got a whole lot more and i know they'll do what he should've done. that's wrong when most have to pay 16k for something like that, or more, they only gave him 6 or 5k. plus if you need a truck and it's your only one why even let them buy it at all.
This episode was filmed like 10 years ago.
Nice car
My late father's first truck was a 1938 Ford like that
Not the same without Frank. I wish the parties involved could reconcile.
these guys are lowballer hucksters
Props to Gary for having temperament. I'd have politely told them to get out of my barn and dont let the van door hit you on your way down the road.
It's business. And the guy said he has NEVER driven it. It's a truck not a statue.
Exactly
It's also an antique piece of american history, not your grandmas Camry. Itll last generations stored in a moisture free zone like that versus galloping down the road for a few years at 35mph. Hes not in dire need, its luxury money. His grandkids might rather have the car someday.
He could have gotten 10 or more eaisly!! Ive learned a lot about oringinal & value
I think I saw a Ford Starliner in one of the last shots! Now there's something worth having!
It was definitely a 1960 Ford Galaxie. It could have been a convertible, a sedan, a station wagon, or a Starliner.
Glad you got the truck.
Dang....I sure miss my 39... same color and original paint also....memories....
Don't think he should sell if he likes it. Respect him
Danielle is Pricelesss....
Got the car and the substance for another episode of American Pickers. Not bad.
Good condition
From $2 up to $95 depending on your state. How long does it take to get my lost title back? Replacement titles arrive in two to six weeks from the date the request is processed and paid. Many states offer express services for an additional cost.
$6000 is a STEAL for that truck! He's nuts
Those guys will probably sell that truck 10 thousand no problem, as long as the engine isn't isn't stuck it's worth every penny of 10.
I never seen the beautiful arms that Danielle had before her tattoos all around her arms.
I hate the tattoos - But even so, Danielle seems so friendly and personable. I'd be glad to know her.
I know, looks ugly. I thought her name was "tatts".
Creep..
6k....no way...10k
At least they're not lawballing unlike the pawn star 😂
Key o moment after fifty five cut to c/u Miss D rolling her eyes
Hi mate over here in Australia that was called the beer barrel pickup truck.
Wow
Omg that old guy is an idiot for selling it for that truck at all. It’s worth more than by a long shot even in its condition Jeez
I would have rolled off 60 hundred dollar bills in a heartbeat!
Actually, just for the record, 1939 was the first year of hydraulic brakes - not 1938.
Yeah, I caught that as well.
Guy got hosed for 5500.
Awesome
He stole this man's truck. Poor guy didn't have any idea of it's worth....
The lady is just smiling
I like your chance n old car
Now they expect you 2 sell it for a 100 dollars since you told them how much you paid for it.
I bet its so fun to be a picker i would love it
Gary needs 600k for the grandkids college. I would have pain 10k in a second for that truck!
You and many others
Lol this is mikes doppelgänger!!
He low balled him from the beginning at $4000, that truck is worth $8,500 as it sits. They sell for $7,500- $11,500 in good original ,unrestored condition.the guys a millionaire and he trying to low ball the farmer
Agree , but trucks are really hot , that truck is about rust free I am willing to bet , have seen just the rear fenders bring 3200.00, Id probably go as high as 15 thousand .
I bought a 1955 Ford F-150 shortbed pick up for $600. Droppedin a mustang 2 front suspension with power steering, ac unit, roughed in the body work and primered it. I sold it for $20k. I considered that a win!
U sure it’s not a f100?
@williampodjursky868 Yes, it was an F-100. Just a bad habit to type f-150. But good news is that now I have a 1956 F-100, but it's not for sale.
the ford utility an australian invention hehe love them
Bandits
I would have given him 10,000 for that truck. That is what it would be worth to me
Thanks for not showing the other vehicles therev
I doubt you could buy that for under $15,000 in our area.
Que linda está la presentadora me encantó.
Pre 1960 in many states all you need is a VIN# and you can apply for a new title. Many states records don't go back past the 60's so they have no way to do a title search and simple issue you a new one. Unless it was titled after the 60's that is.
He gave the truck away.
I have one of these...i have a newold stock grille for it but I need the trim piece that surrounds the grille and the one that goes down the center of the grille... Also need a passenger side fender... Hook me up lol
5500$ , I would gladly pay him
Yeah Rob that man
Gary got ripped off, BIG TIME....
RIP frank
Say YEET if YEET is a good word.
More repeats!!!!
I would not mind seeing that become a transformer
I want that 60 ford
"you were at six..." Were? I am at six.
ชอบมาก
2:02 its the only truck I got, well trade it for that dump truck in front of you.
If he said 10k, i would have taken it.
O céu programa é um dos melhores do mundo
Eu queria que vc mandasse um presente pra mim, rua Costa freire 595 casa B vila pery Fortaleza ceara Brazil, eu sou Josué
American pick pockets!!!
Ridiculously cheap for how rarely you ever see them on the road.
Rob sounds like Joe from Family Guy
6k is too low. Years ago I bought one for 10k and sold it for a lot more.
Stole it for 5500
5500$ , oh I wouldn’t hesitate at all.
I wouldn’t sell those lowballers anything.
I WAS THINKING $10,000.
Chrysler was one of the first companies to have hydraulic brakes when a ford model t was still using mechanical brakes. Henry Ford wasn't one for making changes and repeatedly shot down his son Edsel's ideas.
I have a 1972 vokeswagon if interested let me know
Depending upon the state you are in getting a title can be easy or a PITA... In Texas you would have to file for a bonded title and they require you to put 3 times what the vehicle is worth as a bond until it is cleared...
In Vermont they don't use titles on vehicle's ten years old or older however you can register it in Vermont without being a resident and create enough paperwork to register in another state.
Still cheaper than selling a $10K+ truck for $5K....
@@johnharris7751 can't have same vehicle registered in multiple states guy..
@@dieseldabz7104 I never said you could all I said and I've done this you can reside in another state and register a vehicle in Vermont then you'll have enough paperwork to get it registered in my case NYS. I've done this several times.
Frame ( 5:56 / 6:37 ? Looks like a 63 ? 64 Ford
1960. My dad had 2 of them.
im here
OLD EPISODE!
next restation video
He said start a college your grand kids are gonna use it for a car
Well, all they need do is look in grandpa's garage!
@@jakemoeller7850 😂😂😂😂 those wont want those cars
Truck is worth about$15.000 maybe more, truck
is still in good condition for being in the 30s
my old man had a late 30's Chevy truck, some lady offered him 20k, my old man said no, then she offered 25k, he still said no, her last offer 40k back in the late 1980's.
Don't want to offend you but your dad was lieing
gary was robbed
That dude should say 10 000
It's funny how most of us old car guys on here pegged it at 10 grand, it's amazing how we know the right price to pay for that great old truck.
Final price
mr mike looks like hes been knocked out a few times
What a low ball offer - a steal ------ could have gone for $10,000 easily.
No title, repairs,it may be stock up,upholstery,shipping..to many issues 5 grand is a fair deal
Run them out..
Run them out..
ใช่ไม่คุ้มเลย
Low ball
This isn't the original american pickers
