I think the way Pac viewed it was that Big was supposed ride with him because Pac would have done the same if it was vice versa ("if my homies call"); whereas Big viewed as "hey man I don't have a beef with those guys, I'm just trying to do my thing". Point being that if Pac was your friend he was the type of friend that'd do anything for you and he expected that in return (seeing he was raised among militants) and when he saw Biggie didn't jump on board he felt betrayed. Nevertheless it didn't justify lying about the situation. One thing we often forget is these 2 brothers were very young.
Truth is truth, to many people hug the nuts of everybody. Nobody is beyond reproach.

I'm a huge Tupac fan. I almost feel like he helped my mom raise me to become a man. Pac did way more for the world than just music. That was just the vessel.
