    Didn't know about the grey/white sweet spot when placing truck stops. Will keep it in mind!

      Quite deceptive isn't it :) Just go VERY slow with the spending to start with. Have patience on that score, and do the opposite and use 4x speed to get the money coming in fasterer! Good Luck Dave!!!

    I'm late to the party, just started this series while playing myself.
    You should have placed the quarrys station on the other side, closer to the town, to minimize empty trip length.

    hey thanks for the video, I have to ask you didn't explain what advantage is when placing the truck stop closer to the stone, when it changes from grey to white?

    • @saspry
      @saspry  2 года назад

      I "heard" somewhere that it's "better" to have the stop closer so the resource is white and not grey :) But why? Who knows??? Well... I've now done some testing as a result of your comment - video to come soon LOL - and discovered that because the trucks cover a slightly LONGER distance, they earn SIGNIFICANTLY more money, and my actual bank balance was 50k HIGHER at the end of the time tested (3 years game time). Sure, the line rate and frequency was lower (I only used 10 horses in the test) but the money in the bank is what we are interested in, especially at this stage with horses.

      Yes thats true for all trucks, and trains ect...the longer the travel the more you make, what I do for a pointer is, sometimes you can have the trucks return with other goods, but that depends on where the supply and factories are located. I do the same with trains, ect..

      @@saspry You get paid for distance travelled from station to station (not industry to industry/town) as the crow flies + elevation. Given that all transport gives higher profit the longer it travels, you're better off (from a min-max point of view) ensuring travel time is at its maximum. You can game that further by ensuring the pick up points are at their furthest point in the opposite direction of each industry (passed the industry). While that is more profitable, for me, it's less realistic - so I place them just after the factory as opposed to before.
      Enjoyable video! :)
