    First off, you are hilarious 😆 I was laughing through out this entire video. & your editing is on point! Awesome video!! Great job on doing research, a lot of people need to do their own research when going into any lifestyle change & talking to your doctor is a plus. Girl you are setting great examples for your viewers. I also tried calorie counting last week I did it for like half a day and I was like eff this 😂😂 I just got overwhelmed and was like nahhh, but you got this queen !

      Thank you so much, love! You're awesome! I totally feel you on calorie counting! It's hard because you don't want food to run your life. I've honestly been making my food and then put it into my calorie counting app while I'm eating. It helps me feel like the calories aren't in control because I already made the food and I'm eating it. I already decided what I want to eat. But it helps me not go overboard in the evenings when I tend to snack because the app clearly lets me know how much I've already consumed. I can't thank you enough ❤️ following your journey as well ☺️

      @@meaganbenton3381 you know, I wanted to do weekly weigh ins too, but I feel like the scale has the power to throw me off track. If I don’t see a number that I’m happy with I’ll just stop caring 😭 so my plan is to be mindful of my calories and stay off the scale for at least a month. I feel like I have not been consistent enough to see results and it’s because the scale messes with me, but I refuse to let the scale run my life! We definitely got this ❤️

    Super easy way to eat less without calorie counting is eating on a smaller plate, putting the fork down in betweem bites and drinking a glass of water with your meal.

  • @bturner2030

    Only way to loose weight=. Move more and eat less! Here is a challenge for you: for 6 months ride your bike everyday 30-45 min and a quick pace. Consume minimum 62 Oz of water, no coffee, no soda, nothing but water. Food intake : meat and vegetables only. No bread, pasta, rice, cookies, ice cream, no fast food.
    If you have not lost at least 2 lbs a week, then go see your doctor!

    Personally, I think intuitive eating could probably better suit someone in maintenance mode, so after weight loss. This way, the body and mind worked at developing healthier eating patterns and actually formed habitual behaviours. At this early a stage, the body will still crave the things that got it to an unhealthy state so I don't know if a person can totally trust their intuition, yet. Everyone is different though, and maybe this does work for some. I am no doctor and I'm right in the thick of my own journey. It's just been my experience that when I eat intuitively, I have not had a shift in my weight loss at all either way. I am very curious to know what your doctor thinks!

    Im currently doing a 30 day challenge. I have done many before and failed everytime. I no longer want to eat junk food (no chips, chocolate, store bought cookies and cakes), I can fully say I was definitely addicted to Hawkins Cheezies. I would eat them everyday and most time eating them over regular meals. So this was a huge problem and it made me feel like crap, both physically and mentally. So I started on December 26th and it sucked, the frist 5 days were terrible going through emotions I would normally just push down with food. Im happy to day its Jan 17th here and I haven't given it. I feel really proud and after the 30 days I am going to bulid on this success with a second 30nday challenge of eating protien witj every meal and snack. Great video, very motivating.

    I don’t think intuitive eating is safe for people who eating unhealthy (me lol). Intuitive for you could be your brain remembering how you always eat at certain times. So it can make you feel hungry at those times despite having already had enough calories for the day from previous meals. Instead I just roughly calculate . If I know I ate 1500 calories and burned 800 calories that day then I will eat when my body says I’m hungry. If my body says I’m hungry and I just been lying in bed all day and I already ate then I just assume it’s a habit and I ignore my body. An hour or so later my body completely forgets the hunger 😭 I think intuitive eating is only for those who grew up with a healthy relationship with food or for those who re learned with healthy eating habits, then they eat intuitively after losing weight . Looking forward to the day where I can not think about every little thing i put in to my body, even something as small as a piece of toast for breakfast 😭

    • @meaganbenton3381
      @meaganbenton3381  2 года назад

      100% agree it's for people who grew up or relearned those habits. I have a brother-in-law who grew up in a home with food insecurity most of his life. He always eats everything on his plate and eats whenever offered. He's very active so he probably needs a lot but still. I'm counting now as discussed in my recent vid but because I re-eat a lot of my faves it usually is rough calculations. The next vid coming out this next week is a "what I eat in a day" style vid and I tally it all on my Fitbit app but most days I can do it in my head which for me is at least easier like intuitive eating. 😁 Thanks for checking out the channel!
