Calm mind set, most important. Relaxed body loose hands. Let your natural talent take over. Hit the ball where it tells you to hit it. Do not predetermined. Power initiates from ground to feet. Energy transfer will flow better to ball if your are balanced and relaxed.
What I have learned....follow this channel. Take notes, and BP is essential!! Best all around channel for getting better at the game we love!!! Cannot thank you enough for your time and discussion break downs!!! Pure enjoyment and max learning curve!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤
Love your BP videos. Only complaint is that you don't post them often enough :) Thanks for your tips. The conversations you guys have are my favorite batting insights on YT.
"You gotta watch the ball hit the bat". This might be basic 101 but I never do it, too eager to get running to first base! This is now my new correction to work on, thanks bro!
Cole, I’ve often wondered if I would forget one time that I’m in a game and not BP while mistakenly tapping a ball back. Glad to know that I’m not the only one. 😂 Good tips man.
Kp always been my fav player. Cole n ervine bout to take the top. What a swing cole got. If I could mimic the way someone hits it's gonna be cole or ervine for sure
I have such a hard time with timing the pull ball, but the push swing feel sooooo good. I feel like I collapse a lot when I'm trying to pull the ball, but the don't collapse at all when going backside.
@BigRed1654 try two things. Let the ball get as deep as possible and keep your hands basically stuck to your body (close to chest) and work your way from middle to pull. And, also try to go out with your body with a soft front leg to pull it. By "go out" I mean almost jump forward to go meet it
@TrevorTynesLocalSEO the difference is in the mechanics. Fast hands mentality should keep you from making big movements that pull you out of form. Big leg kick, pulling the bat way back, flexing your arms through the swing, being too tight. All of those things will actually slow your swing down. But in my mind, if I'm trying to create fast bat speed (and not a hard powerful swing) then it keeps me smooth.
@@hittingwiththenation amazing. Thank you. I tend to try and pull the bat way back. You've given me a lot to work with and practice on here. Keep bringing the awesomeness.
When you finish your swing, where is your weight? (Front foot, back foot, balanced) --- I'm sure this is a dumb question, I've been playing for a few months and just got my closest hit to a homerun that was about 290', our fence is 300'. I'm having a hard time figuring out my issues. lol
@ashtinw.4555 tricky question. But I would say balanced if doing it "properly". At contact you are pushing off you back leg to twist the hips. So weight is technically on a straight front leg. But the front leg is pushing backwards to twist the hips so your weight is coming back to your back leg. Lol
@@hittingwiththenation That makes sense, I've noticed it feels like I lean back at contact which makes it feel like my weight is on my back foot. Just one of the many things I need to work on lol. Thank you for the reply and all of the content!
Fixed some audio mistakes on the slow motion parts

Thank you for posting these videos. First time playing slow pitch and I’m trying to get better at hitting. So these videos are great.

A softer swing at a higher pitch!!!!🤯🤯🤯 I get caught on those often so I’m looking forward to trying that.
Best softball videos on The Tube. 🙏

I need to go to the Smoky mountain Classic next year to watch!
I didn’t need another reason to watch this again….but imma do it anyway!
Players miss that point of aiming gaps and if it goes, great. If you miss the dinger it’s usually a hit/double

Love your videos. How do you swing fast vs hard? To me, it's the same thing, and I need help separating them.
