If this road don't have a name, it SHOULD be called Hanbleceya Ranch Road! Good job, Jason! It was fun watching how it is being done! I hope you put some kind of grid on the culvert just in case the beavers decided to dam it up again.
I like that idea but it is already named!!😉 Thanks so much! We did put the grate we had over the old ones up. We put it out every spring and take it down in early winter before the freeze. We don’t want the flooding caused by the beavers again! 😊
When you put the bench in, and you cut away those bushes, please, put some beautiful perineal flowers in the place of the bushes. Flowers that will grow and come back each spring and summer.
Great video and awesome job getting that taken care of Jason ! If you find the need to put another culvert in anywhere I else put it in flipped. The bell section should receive the water. In the event it was two pieces the bell end would be where the connection of the pipes would be. Not at all picking. Just sharing some knowledge. Take care
in my other life i worked on miles of woods roads for international paper co in northern ny and looks like ya did a good job there congrats to ya miss those days sometimes carry on
Hi Jason. I just bought 90 acres north of your Homestead near Island Falls. First thing our contractor wanted to do was put in to long culverts and lots of gravel. It was quite expensive. It would be interesting to me if you gave out some figures, just ballpark figures on how much this stuff costs. I'm in over 100,000 and the shed hasn't even been delivered yet. Butch
Hi Butch, we’re quite a bit north of Island Falls, that’s a great area. Our culvert was $476 delivered, 18” x 20’. We did the work along with a neighbor. I can understand the challenges and frustrations you’re facing, starting a new homestead. Happy to deep dive with you, email us at hanbleceyaranch@gmail.com. Have a great day!
Hi Jason n Jen, Shew what a big important job y’all done there! Thank you Jesus for good neighbors! I know this is a super load off your minds. Congratulations!! Is it possible to slowly shave off the road where it’s higher (hill) so winter time won’t be so hard to travel when iced over? Or is that impossible? I mean if it’s a steady going up along ways, I know it would be impossible. We done ours out on the farm years ago but it was /^\ type of hills. Lol nothing real long. How did you Like 👆 drawing 😂😂😂 oh don’t mention it, I’m a great artist 😂 Have an awesome holiday weekend! Stay safe, happy and God Bless ❤
Hi Pam! Good to hear from you!! It was a big important job and we are glad we did it!! Don’t have to worry so much about the flooding anymore. We have amazing neighbors that are always ready to help when needed. We are blessed! There are hills up and down the road. Not much we can do about it. We all work together using the ash from our wood stoves to get a better grip on the hills when there is ice. The first year we were here we had a local guy come down and drop a sand/salt mixture. He was a lifesaver!! Hope all is well for you and you have a wonderful holiday weekend! Take care and God bless! ♥️🙏♥️
The ROAD OF NO RETURN sounds great
👍😉
Nice work Jason and neighbor! That culvert will definitely help come next spring when the water is flowing during the thaw!
Thanks so much!!👍 It will definitely help. Can’t wait to see it in action!
Great job folks ❤ love the view from the end of the culvert.
Thanks!! We needed that culvert! Been wanting to do it since we moved here. Don’t think it would have lasted another year!!♥️
What a trooper you are! Great job!!
Thank you!😊
Be interesting to see how that changes the water cycle patterns in that swamp area. Appears to be a big improvement.
@@JimTexas806 We’ll keep you posted on how it goes. 😊

We pulled out some alders and laid gravel. The damn alders still come back right up through the gravel. Alders and I battle every. single. year.
Alders always seem to win…wish the garden was as resilient as the alders!!🤣
I seen the light! Great work!
Yes!!😂 Thanks!👍
this was enjoyable entertaining.
Thanks so much for watching!!😊
Thumbs Up
Thanks!👍
Looks 👍. Nice to have neighbors with a backhoe. We had to do our culvert this last fall. Good thing ro it was broke in 3 places.
We love our neighbors!! They are always willing to help! Ours were completely rusted out!!
Great work! Good neighbors. Does your neighbor live on the same road? Great team work. Happy for you. It is a thing of beauty!
@@donnalf184 Thank you for the kind words! I’ve always said that a big reason for our success are our incredible neighbors 😊
Good job, another job done woohoo😊
Thanks! We are so happy to finally get this done!! 😊

Could you grow blueberries or cranberries in your boggy area off the roadway?
@@dolphinbear661 I never gave it a thought but I suppose we could… hmm… 😊
Do you own the road and the property on each side?
No we do not. It’s an unmaintained road. We do own the property across from the marsh, from the culvert to the border.
