Make a wheel with light restrictions for the loser; like tactic must have wingers, must have AMC....or loser must buy a player for X position, loser cannot lock any players in. Its a small punishment, that still makes it somewhat equal, but might need some work around in some cases.

I would love if every one season rebuild had like a certain theme. A youth version - can only sign players below 23. A senior citizen version - only 29 or above. Maybe restrict to certain nations/regions etc. Kinda like the last time in the Manchester United one but restricting the tactics everytime would get borring too. Or make them like sidegoals/quests that you can but not must follow for 25 million per sidegoal extra money on the next one. And overall would love more "rewards" - your player won a golden boot? extra 10 million. Highest avg rating in the league? 10 million etc.

please can you do a vanarama south face off with slough town and bath city . we have recently developed a small rivalry with bath as during a match someone passed out and the match was postponed for 10 minutes then the manager of bath city decided he couldnt play because his players had ‘tight hamstrings’ and we also beat them 3-0 last time

You should do a challenge where you both have to start the same ‘greyed out’ striker every game (one of the players that appear when you don’t have a full squad, you can offer them a contract) can build whatever team you want but the same striker has to play. Would be interesting to see how they improved and how many goals they can score. Can do the same with a goalie, defender and midfielder
You guys should do a rebuild in Brazil, maybe a versus with Corinthians vs Palmeiras; Flamengo vs Fluminense; Grêmio vs Internacional. There's a lot of rivalry here in Brazil, so a versus would be a lot of fun

You missed Rensch, Sweeting, Choupo-Mouting and Clerc as AI signings - which can best be described as a mixed bag. You should do a longer term academy only (say no signings over say 17) save with say someone like Southampton, Atalanta or even Athletic Bilbao etc because rebuilds where you're just throwing money around just arent fun I find. Although tbf if they do numbers then fair enough.

I think OD went a bit to “safe” in his formation especially for a one season rebuild - Luke went more attacking which was definitely the right call
