Yeah I was surprised at first too. Sagar said now the wheelbase is longer while everyone else is saying that it has gone down. He even said it feels more stable but turning is a bit difficult now. Now I've started to doubt his experience.
You have nailed it in your comment. It wouldn't have been this big a blunder had he not said "that the bike is more stable due to the longer wheelbase, and is therefore more difficult to turn" 🤦 Unfortunately, ALL reviewers have been pretending all along. @@NewsXAuto my understanding about these bikes is these are smaller cc bikes and at the end of the day we will ride it around 80-100kmph max. And at that speed I don't think even the most experienced rider will notice the loss of mere 9mm. For me the loss of rpm needle is more heartbreaking 😅
@@cykablyat8935 you'll be glad to know that I had been requesting Bajaj to NOT do away with the analogue tacho. They did try for the longest time as they themselves are enthusiasts. Unfortunately, they had to give in to the public demand. We are in a minority bro 😐
The most important matter is that I don't rely on moto vloggers, I always prefer to take a test drive of myself and decide which one is best for me. Currently i am owning 200Ns bs3 2012 model and it is still fulfilling my need in great condition.

Honestly speaking ive rode both n and f250 and i personally wanted f250 to get some update and attention bcoz i rode both bikrs at 130+ but f250 was more stable and achieved top speed earlier due to fairing , and ngl f250 was a better machine due to its handling and stability overall . Idk why they discontinued it somehow 🤡
I agree. Had ridden both at their first media ride a couple of years ago. Had clocked 139.kmh on N250, and 145 kmh on the F. That too at the Chakan track. Both bikes were beautifully planted. This one unfortunately isn't.
My priority is highway cruising. Considering the VFM factor for N250 can I buy this instead of hunter or ronin because those also comes around same price range or slightly higher.
The Ronin is a fantastic city bike but a horrible highway bike. The Hunter is a good city bike and an okay highway bike. The N250 is great in the city, and better than both on the highways. So, yes, the N250 indeed it is for you.

You mean decrease. While Bajaj is claiming that the rake is the same, I doubt it. There is no way the wheelbase would have seen a 9mm reduction if the rake was the same. From what I can tell by putting in around a 100 km until now, the steering geometry has become steeper/sharper. Hence the instability at higher speeds.
@@NewsXAuto change of wheels? Tyres from those designated to accommodate too. More weight at front and stiffer, change in Tyres with basically same set up? No wonderbit feels less natural and stable. Apart from rake how else can wheelbase have shortened? Presume they thought it would make it turn on quicker and more sporty like but you need balance. No tech knowledge but seems common sense. They would have got very lucky to change forks wheelbase and Tyres and kept what was considered quite well balanced bike?
They put in fatter tyres, right? Did they increase the rim width? If no, It may pinch the tyres causing it to feel nervous. Check karna agar bike hai abhi bhi to
Arey nahi yaar, you wouldn't expect a mainstream manufacturer to do such silly mistakes. Koi roadside tyre waale ne upsize nahi kara hai 🤣 Plus, almost all stock rims accomodate a 10 per cent wider tyre without pinching. This one's less than 10 per cent 😃 Also, if the rim pinches the tyres, the bike rides funny at ALL speeds, and not just immediately after 120-130 km/h. I still did check it though on the first day of riding, that too within the first 40.km. They just messed up the steering geometry on this one.
So for those who are watching for the full review, this is my review. I had own F250 from 2022 Jan End, I live in Hyd done nearly 19K km till now. mine is a single channel ABS as at the time of launch there isn't a dual channel option. I have upgraded the tires too front is 110/70 R17 rear is 150/60 R17. Regarding ride you can do long highway tours on this at 80-110 easy. if you are doing 80-95 it gives you around 38-42 kmpl. if you pull over 95-110 then it goes down to 35-40 kmpl. I don't feel any vibrations on the bike. each service will costs you around 2-3K per visit approx. Ask me if you have any more questions :) this being an oil cooled it performs really well and 5th gear is more than sufficient for this bike, till now I didn't feel the need of 6th gear in all my tours. but I would suggest to take a test ride of this.

Test this machine as well someday like you did with others!

Which one should I buy N250 or ns200? I have hard that NS doesnt has good low end torque as N While N has somewhat wobble issue and good low end torque
I would recommend ns200 or rtr 200. We don't know how spare parts availability of n250 will be after 3-5 years. NS and rtr are very successful bikes. So, their spare parts should be available. I own rtr 200 and it's a very good motorcycle. I think RTR has better suspension, better mileage, handling and less vibrations than NS and likely more reliable than NS 200 too. NS obviously has more power with higher vibrations. If you are already riding 15+ bhp motorcycle NS will be more enjoyable than RTR. If you want that raw power even after exceeding 100kmph NS is better. I don't know a lot about NS vibrations at high speed. RTR has vibes between 5.5k - 6k rpm. After 6k vibes go down. Below 80 kmph at 5.5k rpm RTR is so smooth that you won't even feel a slight buzz. After 80 kmph there's a buzz on my right handle bar and right foot pegs.
Shorter Wheelbase, I consider it a Cost Cutting Mesaure. Had they increased the Front Suspension length, this problem could've been avoided. A bigger front Rim can also solve this issue, but I'm afraid that it'll interfere with the ABS performance, hence will require changes in the Rear Wheel too to balance it out😎
No, there's no cost cutting involved in shortening a wheelbase 🤦 In fact, they have been way more generous with everything in this iteration. They just got the steering geometry incorrect this time.
@@NewsXAuto May be, they might've changed the Castor Angle to make it more Agile. I was thinking that as they've changed the Front Suspension to USD this time, so Cost Cutting is also a Possibility😎
@@oshoosho8466they say that the caster hasn't changed. Like I said, I doubt it. But how did you arrive at "cost cutting"? How is going to a USD setup cost cutting? It's more expensive than the conventional right side up fork, so how is it cost cutting? 😃
@@NewsXAuto I felt that the OEM Vendor of USD Forks might be having some Standard sized USD Forks and Bajaj just bought it. With all the competition indian brands have, why can they better the performance of the newer iterations over the older ones? It's night time they got too serious. Giving new features is a must nowadays, but performance has to be bett. Gone are the days when they used to launch newer versions with changes in STICKER & PLASTIC. VERY VERY NICE AND TECHNICALLY PERFECT REVIEW. THANK You, KEEP ON THE GOOD WORK PLEASE.
Thank you so much for the kind words. See, this is not a newer model. As a facelift, it's not a sticker job like Hero does. It's a proper facelift with upgraded suspension, TC, dual channel ABS with ABS modes, and navigation. I don't like gimmicks in vehicles, but it's a fact that nowadays we need navigation. Even TC is beneficial for newer riders. The only chink in its new armour is the lack of stability post 130 kmh. But below that, it's a pretty good motorcycle in all aspects 😃

as per my concern for the overall package, why not the ns200 which comes with 6 gear and liquid cooler whereas the n250 comes with only 5 gear and oil cooler. I would like to hear from you.
I see many reputed youtubers & media houses (dont wanna name any) are saying that the addition of a 6th gear would have done wonders. To my knowledge of riding a pulsar 220f for 9 years now, oil cooled engines domt require a 6th gear or the need isnt there as much as a liquid cooled unit for say. Also on day to day riding conditions in city , we dont cross above 60-65kmph & a long fifth gear will just do the job. I dont understand why people focus more on gimmicky things rather than tractability. Pls do explain your thoughts on this. Thanks in advance
Gear ratios and the type of engine cooling method used have nothing to do with each other. 😃 Those media houses and journos unfortunately have zero technical knowledge, therefore they end up saying the same things over and over again. Will this become better at cruising if it gets a 6th gear? Yes. Does it REALLY need one BADLY? NO. 😃

@@PoweRHousE_N250you need to check again. The bike starts to weave BEFORE he changes lanes. Another RUclipsr has highlighted this issue. Also, for a moment let's assume that the wobble is because of the road undulations or even the darn stripes, that further stamps the fact that the bike is unstable. Very nice effort to show us the cruising RPMs and the respective vibes at those speeds. Yes, I too don't think highly of reviewers who love to pop wheelies on all the bikes which demonstrates more their skills than the bikes' potentials. However, targeting people can lead to bad publicity because I've seen people are very passionate about their fav youtubers and feel offended. Anyway, apart from that, you're very right that when wheelbase drops without change in swingarm length, the steering geometry has been altered, specifically the rake angle has been tightened. So while this will definitely decrease high speed stability, it should improve slow speed agility and make it easier to change directions around corners and other city conditions. So please see if that part has improved as that is much more useful than stability at 130 plus speeds. Also I felt sitting more on the bike than in the bike, do you feel the same. I feel less confident in corners when I feel I'm sitting on the bike than in it. Otherwise it's a lovely engine. Would also love to see your take on the Maverick 440, I'm surprised you've not reviewed it yet. Nice video and great effort.

Coming to the bike, it was already a fine handler. I rode the original extensively in Pune at the launch ride, both at their track and in the real world. It was fantastic. As per my understanding Bajaj is using this bike as a test bench for features to trickle down to the ns200. Expect the next ns to have TC and fatter tyres. At the same time Bajaj is trying to keep this bike below the ns series. The OG N250 was performing far better than the bs6 ns of that time, reaching 151(speedo) even with 5 gears where the ns lost it's breath at about 142 143. They actually affected ns and domi 250 sales. With an ecu update they made the limiter lower and now my bs6 n250 hits limiter in 146~147(very disappointed). Needless to say my N250 2022 end bs6 dc abs seems to be a much better bike than this update even with skinnier tyres and basic telescopic forks. My bike still reaches 140 effortlessly and goes 146. This seems to have a longer 4th gear and a shorter 5th than before(indicated by the cruising rpms and the struggle to reach 140). Paired with the shorter wheelbase Bajaj is trying to make it a nimble city bike which the first version struggles a bit in my opinion. Initially I felt this kind of instability too but I swapped the rear for Apollo S1 140/60 and there is literally a hell and heaven difference. The bike goes straight like a missile even at 145. Recently went on a 500km ride with a pillion and two bags and the bike was happy sitting at 100 to 115 all day long!
No changes in the gearbox or sprocket ratios. And the bike doesn't struggle to reach 140 either. This isn't a top speed video. Here, I was.gradially increasing the speed to monitor the rpm properly. @@NewsXAuto I know this isn't a top speed test but I've seen other speed tests and saw it losing breath after 138 and could manage only about 140. Now I'm not sure whether they corrected the meter error but knowing bajaj they're probably using the same sensors from the previous bike so yes the bs6 still is faster up top(it's a minor difference but yes when you're going against the likes of the mt and ns that difference can trigger a success or failure in sales in the Indian market) 1. 1st gear 42, 2nd gear 72, 3rd gear 96, 4th gear 122, 5th gear 147(now hits limiter at 146 after I switched to Apollo S1 140/60). 2. Well sarge messed up big time 😅 I had seen that review when it arrived and i also noticed the goof up but I thought maybe he will rectify it in comments section down below. But he didn't. Sometimes reviewers put it in the video itself while editing but that also was not done . Anyway this was nothing compared to some other reviewer saying Bajaj didn't give Backlit switches to this bike whereas Bajaj pulsar bikes have had backlit switches since we were kids 😂. Its a trademark feature of Pulsar brand atleast. Some of these reviewers don't know that also. Anyway how is this bike compared to Gixxer 250 in terms of stability on highways? Cornering stability, mileage and acceleration timings too. The Gixxer 250 has literally got an oil cooled engine with 4 valves and 6 speed gearbox with liquid cooling style engine jacket and all 😅. I rhink that's why the Gixxer 250 has been so expensive. Because that's it's USP in an era where people are obsessed with liquid cooling and 6th gear. Please tell me how this feels compared to Gixxer 250 🙌
I would ignore the backlit switches gaffe of the youtuber who's essentially a brochure reader (who can't even the read the brochure correctly), but Sagar's blunder is another level because he went on to say that this is why the bike is stable 🤦 It's not. Suzuki didn't give their benchmark oil-cooling tech because Indians are obsessed with liquid cooling. They gave it because they invented it (oil cooler with a fan, in a finless engine. All other oil-cooled bikes have just a small heat exchanger, and fins on their engines. They are essentially air-cooled with an additional oil cooler. The Suzuki 250s are properly oil cooled.). There is no comparison. Those Suzukis are superior in every sense, and that's why they are expensive..
@@NewsXAuto Yes I know Suzuki invented S.O.C.S technology many decades ago for the GSXR series of sports bikes . They had also invented Ram air assist for one of their sportbikes back in 70s also I think . So you are saying that Gixxer 250 is better than N250 if we keep the features and VFM pricing out of the picture?

The Ronin is a fantastic city bike but a horrible highway bike.

has the rake increased? is the rake & trail changed from the older bikes angle?

Wheel alignment
Balance

A bigger front Rim can also solve this issue, but I'm afraid that it'll interfere with the ABS performance, hence will require changes in the Rear Wheel too to balance it out😎
No, there's no cost cutting involved in shortening a wheelbase 🤦
In fact, they have been way more generous with everything in this iteration. They just got the steering geometry incorrect this time.
@@NewsXAuto May be, they might've changed the Castor Angle to make it more Agile. I was thinking that as they've changed the Front Suspension to USD this time, so Cost Cutting is also a Possibility😎

I'm confused between Bajaj Pulsar N 160 and apache rtr 160 4v ?? Which one gives best mileage?? Which one is better in long term as engine??
Don't think too much about long term. Just buy the one you have your heart on 😃
I see many reputed youtubers & media houses (dont wanna name any) are saying that the addition of a 6th gear would have done wonders.
Those media houses and journos unfortunately have zero technical knowledge, therefore they end up saying the same things over and over again.
Will this become better at cruising if it gets a 6th gear? Yes. Does it REALLY need one BADLY? NO. 😃

Now, surprisingly it neither feels as "quick-turning" either, the reason for which I shall mention in the full fledged review 😃

Can you do me a favour though? Well, two actually:
1) Yours is a BS6 bike, right? Can you tell me the mex speeds in the first four gears your bike achieves at the limiter?
2) What's the rpm at 100 km/h in 5th?
@@NewsXAuto I know this isn't a top speed test but I've seen other speed tests and saw it losing breath after 138 and could manage only about 140. Now I'm not sure whether they corrected the meter error but knowing bajaj they're probably using the same sensors from the previous bike so yes the bs6 still is faster up top(it's a minor difference but yes when you're going against the likes of the mt and ns that difference can trigger a success or failure in sales in the Indian market)
1. 1st gear 42, 2nd gear 72, 3rd gear 96, 4th gear 122, 5th gear 147(now hits limiter at 146 after I switched to Apollo S1 140/60).
2. RPM in 5th at 100 is 6.5k dot.

N250 or MT-15. Test ride both.
The wobble was from the painted part of the road I believe bcoz those painted part do cause a lot of stability issue.
NO 🤦 the painted stripes do absolutely NOTHING to the stability. They matter only at starting from a standstill, that too if the rear tyre is on that stripe. Then it could lose traction. With a steady throttle, like in this video, even a inline four wouldn't lose traction. Wobble is primarily due to the messed up steering geometry.
@@NewsXAuto I partially agree with u in this coz I even ride on highways and the newly painted stripes do cause stability issue to some extent and trust me I have experienced this on many bikes not just a single one.

@@NewsXAuto couldn't agree less. I watched his reviews and I'm not impressed. After he quit powerdrift back in 2017 he's struggling in the motorsport business. I guess when money is involved u tend to bend the way of the sponsors. Just a conspiracy theory 🤑
@@rider_24 no no, that's not the case. He, like others, was always a technical noob. A terrific rider, thanks to the CSS, but zero technical knowledge. People got, and still get, swayed by the awesome cinematics, and took his word as Gospel truth. Sooner or later, their eyes will open.
@@NewsXAuto to be honest the day he parted ways with powerdrift his following went down the hole. I mean I met him personally during an event organised by powerdrift in Pune, he was enthusiastic then. When I watch his videos I disagree in a lot of things that he says but yes his content is OK 👍🏻 no problem with that for me. Everyone enjoys a good show.
